  It’s a great, fairytale-style, challenging, platform game. The best part is the colorful art style, with some nice, deep backgrounds, but it’s complimented by a lot of other suiting stuff: Well-made, sound effects and music. An emotional story. Natural animations. Skills’ progression keeps things interesting, introducing timely change in pace and some challenging sequences and puzzles. Took 19 hours and 1.200 deaths on hard difficulty, for 100% completion, since it allows constant access to previously unlocked areas, necessary to access some secret areas/spots. Would probably take like 12h for a straight-up gameplay. Other than the occasional frustration, I found a small oversight, obstructing 100% completion if you mess up, but there’s a cheat-code solution online.

  Not fun. Such a disappointment and just do not understand why this game got so many positive reviews. This game requires precise control techniques and made me get so stressed. Lesson learnt: not simply blinded by huge positive review numbers, rather better check negative reviews and their reasons before buying any game.

If you wish to collect everything on the map and complete the game 100% you need to spend over 12 hours to complete it. This game is worth replaying several times if you plan to 100% complete the achievements. Does not offer anything except a difficulty curve.
  💵 Is it worth buying?	Yes, without a doubt. This game is worth the money and if you get this on a discount you'll feel like your money is well spent.
  🎮 Steam Deck Compatibility	Played this game 50/50 on my Steam Deck and the other half on PC. It runs great, but due to the fact that the visuals are so small on the screen it really not that hot to look at in my opinion. It looks great, don't get me wrong, but due to low resolution, you can't see the actual details on put by devs. Still, if you want to play it and have the intention to play anywhere, this works without a single problem.
  🧾 Verdict: Masterpiece Rating Chart Here	It took me a long time to pick this game up, but once I did I finally understood what makes this game so special. The visuals, the music, the story, and the gameplay for me make this a perfect game to play anywhere you want. This is one of the best platformer games I've ever played.

  Ori and the Blind Forest is a Metroidvanian, adventure 2D platformer with great emphasis on exploration. You play as Ori, a white guardian spirit alongside Sein who is your guide in this world and helps you understand your role in this magical and beautiful world.

  ⚔ Gameplay:

  Rate: ★★★★★ Playing like Ori felt amazing. The controls are snappy, reactive, and fun. In the world, you collect special orbs to upgrade yourself and your abilities. You traverse through areas where there are puzzles and in often situations you are required to backtrack to unlock doors or pick up power-ups after collecting certain abilities. Puzzles are at every step and the game can be rather difficult, but thanks to saving at any step of the game you get to traverse easily through a lot of them, with little difficulty once you get the hang of the controls.   Rate: ★★★★★ I've had a lot of fun in this game from start to finish. The world feels fun and puzzle areas aren't too difficult if you plan to play this game on normal for the first time. If you wish to have a challenge there is something like that for you. Once you are at the end-game part, everything feels great and it's just fun to mess around with the abilities. Everything you do interacts with enemies and the world and it's a lot of fun to play.

  Rate: ★★★★★ The game visuals were the first thing that actually made me curious to try this game out. It's a beautiful-looking game even if it came with the definitive edition back in 2016.   Rate: ★★★★★ One of the best soundtracks I've ever listened to. The main menu OST hits you in the feels right from the beginning. At the end, you're presented with a mix of the same OST that hits you right in the feels again. It has outstanding sound effects and could say voice acting is pleasant to listen to.

  Rate: ★★★★★ This game is renowned for making people cry. I personally didn't have an issue, but it sure is a sad and beautiful story. You play as Ori, a guardian spirit sent into this magical world and looked after one of the last inhabitants of that world. Unfortunately, your parent dies and you're forced to find your way in this world until you discover Sein, the guide that introduces you in this world. I started on normal and on my second and 3rd playthrough I've went for Hard and One Life Challenge. Saving at every step makes this a pleasant and easier platformer than most games I've played.

  Ori and the Blind Forest is a masterpiece. The story, the visuals, and the soundtrack on top of a great and snappy gameplay make this for a perfect platformer game that makes me super excited to play its sequel.   THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SOME OF THE PRETTIEST MUSIC IVE HEARD IN A GAME AND THE ART STYLE IS GORGEOUS SIMPLE BUT FUN COMBAT, BLENDS A GOOD DIFFICULTY MIX THE WATER SEQUENCE AFTER UNLOCKING THE FIRST TREE GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE MOMENT AND BETTER THAN ANY MOMENT IN HOLLOW KNIGHT OVERALL HOLLOW KNIGHT IS BETTER BUT THIS GAME IS STILL VERY GOOD AND I LOVE METROIDVANIAS ALSO I AM GAY

  I really really want to like Ori and the Blind Forest but too many small grievances built up throughout playing it that I can't say with confidence that I felt satisfied at the end. The graphics and sound design/music are excellent, but they got too lost in overwhelming visual effects and repetitive sound effects (like the attack noise - I ended up mashing a lot as I never got a good handle on the controls and wanted to get back to exploring asap). There are elements of the game that would work really well if fit together slightly differently but the overall flow of the game was too inconsistent and frustrating that I couldn't appreciate them even if I wanted to. The story is also good - I wouldn't herald it as incredible, but it was serviceable - but I wasn't able to appreciate it either because it tended to be paired with a game mechanic that frustrated me or felt too sharp a turn from the exploration parts of the game. A prime example would be the chase/timed sequences that pop up a couple times; they're valid game mechanics on their own, but when the rest of the game is untimed and frequently saving your progress becomes common, it feels too unnatural to have to repeat multiple rooms multiple times because you didn't react to an offscreen falling rock fast enough or you accidentally used your double jump and were instantly killed by a spike. All in all, I would recommend giving the game a shot as I'm pretty sure it's more that it wasn't my kind of thing, but I feel like it could have benefitted from a little more balancing and mechanic refinement.
