  A handgun that can fire shotgun shells A Mosin-Nagant AND, the best weapon now in game, the incredibly powerful and accurate shotgun/rifle.. The Drilling :D (Hold R to switch ammo types btw) Whats not to like., Best weapon pack by far.

  the drilling rifle has a bug that makes it useless, you're supposed to be able to switch between ammo types on the fly. this feature is broken. i've tried applying fixes as the gun would be great... if it worked. sadly, does not work as intended

  The Mosin Nagant, with it's current soft point ammo, is only as good as the ranger .243 (if not worse), which I find very disappointing. Given it's still a fun gun, it just seams like a rip off to me, when it's literally worse then the first gun you get in the game, who's soft point ammo is the same as the Mosins, and free, while the Mosins ammo costs 362 in game currency. Honestly, just add a better ammo type for the Mosin, and give us what we paid for. Moving on, the .45 colt revolver can shoot both .45 colt flat nose hard case rounds, as well as .410 birdshot, which is nice, and is good sidearm until you reach the rhino in my opinion. All in all a unique and fun gun. Finally, we get into arguably the best addition to this DLC, the Grelck Drilling Rilfe, being a combination rifle/shotgun, it's able to shoot both 16 gauge shotgun shells x2 and 9.3x74R rifle rounds x1 in the same load. The 16 gauge shell type has all existing shotgun ammo variants in the game, while the 9.3x74R can shoot both polymer and soft point rounds (statistically being just as good as the 7mm, though evidentially superior due to the caliber). All weapons in this DLC can mount scopes, and they all come free. All in all, you get a lousy Mosin Nagant, a unique and fun handgun, and a combination gun that is arguably better then any base game weapon by range, and accuracy. I have had a great deal of fun with this DLC, and aside from the shady Mosin Nagant (which they'll hopefully fix), the other two guns make up for it.

  My favorite out of this pack is the Mosin. It gets the job done when you place the shots in the lungs. It gives 100% integrity to roe deer, fallow deer, blacktail deer, whitetail deer, boars, coyote, and black bears. With said animals you can score 100% quick kills as well. I've shot elk and can't seem to manage to score the quick kill, but I guess if you did a spine/head shot you could. I didn't test it in africa, russia, or PF yet.

  How the hell can you not fix the bug for the Drilling gun that has been occurring since at least 2019? The rifle is completely unusable in multiplayer because you can't properly switch between the shotgun and sniper mode...

  A really excellent DLC that adds a lot of possibilities to the base game in the form of three fire arms that balance any weapon load-out. It is not absolutely necessary as the base game does provide everything you need to play, but these weapons just are a heck of a lot of fun to shoot (and listen to -- the audio is brilliant), all for the price of a cup of coffee.

  The weapons are very unique feeling, bringing interesting changes to the gameplay. The mosin’s soft point rounds inflict devastating damage and the drilling rifle brings adaptability with serious style. Added animations are better than what has been in the game so far. Unfortunately the mosin does not get its unique scope, but the drilling rifle has the capability of mounting a crisp 3-9x power optic. The .410/.45lc revolver is a decent addition, but I feel it is slightly overshadowed by the other two weapons. (No new animations for revolver)

  2020 Update. With the new scoring system some parts of the original review are no longer valid. Mainly the Solokhin (MN1890) covering the same species as the .243 and .270. Species and calibers have been rearranged in classes that now actually are reflected accurately in game. Still the Solokhin is way more reliable for medium sized deer. For Red deer (class 6) I'll found that you most likely won't get the full quick kill bonus. You need a bigger weapon for that. I haven't even tested for class 7. On the other hand the .243 now is usable for smaller classes like foxes. So there's a lot to consider when choosing the Solokhin for your loadout. I generally manage with the .223, the Solokhin, and the 30.06, along any other for classes 8-9. However, now you could use the .243 to replace both the .223 and the Solokhin in that loadout. Though, I still don't like the .243 performance at all. ----------------------------------------Original review -------------------------------------------- This is one of the best DLCs so far. It gives you three weapons, already unlocked and for which you don't even need in game credits. You just go to the store and “buy” them, for free. They have 3 different skins each. I recommend all the DLCs, but If you are new to the game and looking which DLCs to buy this is a must. I cannot talk about the pistol, although it looks like a lot of fun. Now regarding the two other weapons, to be able to hunt all animals, and talking about rifles only, you’ll normally would need to grind 4 other weapons, the .223, the .270, the 7mm, and the .338. With this pack you have the “Grelck Drilling Gun”, which you can use instead of the 7mm. So there alone it is saving you the need to level up and to grind credits to buy the 7mm. Then you have the “Solokhin MN1890” which can replace the .270, but not only that, it also works for the same species as the .243. So not only saves you grinding but also backpack space. And not only that, the Grelck is also a shotgun. A powerful double barrel shotgun that you can use to shot anything from rabbits and birds to deer and bears. So, in summary, you’ll be carrying two weapons where you’d normally would need to carry 4. This is of absolute importance since, as you level up, you’ll soon discover that you need to manage your backpack space and having these options makes it much more easier. Update: I'm seeing some reviews criticize the MN1890, because, they say, it is weaker than the .243. That is a falsity. This comes from the fact that this weapon has only “soft point” bullets available. Normally, in game the soft points are the “stock” lower performance ammo, and “tipped” bullets are preferred since they have more penetration. We face here the problem of the in game stats not reflecting the real performance of the weapon. People saying it performs worst than the .243 haven’t really tested it in game. The MN is actually considered the best snipping weapon right now. Players have reported kill shots with 100% quick kill on deer from over 200 meters. And seems to work fine as well for wild boar.
