Các tính năng của Outpost Zero

Outpost Zero blends the genres of Multiplayer Base Building Survival and Simulation games in a Sci-Fi universe.

You and your robotic crewmates were sent to this planet for one purpose - to prepare a working habitat for the future waves of human colonists eager to escape the dying earth. Gaiya's untold natural resources are a juicy target for interstellar big business. Healthy competition among competing corporations drive the dangerous expeditions. Will you succeed in establishing a profitable foothold on this mysterious world, or will the perils of Gaiya and the ruthless corporations out to exploit her natural resources be too much for you to handle?

Command. Colonize. Survive.

Fight against a variety of native alien creatures, and defend your base against roving bands of pirates and enemy raiders. Attack rival players’ strongholds to destroy their operations and loot their resources. Craft upgraded weapons and armor, and lead AI squadmates into battle against your enemies.

With skill and cunning, this hostile planet can be transformed into a thriving colony with a fully functioning society of AI robots. Setup mining outposts, harvest resources, create supply chains, and build a stable economy with automated factories to create essential goods for your survival. Create a base for safe refuge and infrastructure to keep your AI outfitted, healthy, and happy.

Construct robots and train them to defend your outpost. Keep your Outpost running at peak efficiency by crafting gear and assigning jobs to your crewmates. Build them luxurious quarters and raise their morale by entertaining them and satisfying their needs. Lead them into battle, and set them up to defend your base from invaders. Build a society of happy, efficient, and powerful robot citizens.

Contend with the threatening world of Gaiya as it continually tries to destroy everything you've built. Weather dangerous sandstorms, take shelter from meteor showers, survive deadly earthquakes, and cower before the might of an erupting volcano. Use your engineering skills to build a base that can withstand anything this dangerous planet can throw at it, from pirate raids to rampaging beasts, and keep yourself and your crewmates safe and sound in the sheltering walls of your outpost.

As you evolve your colony from survival to dominate the local ecosystem, you will have access to higher tiers of items. A full RPG stat system gives you limitless possibilities in how you outfit yourself and your AI robots. Build railguns, powered armor, jetpacks, mining lasers, gliders, jump boots, shield generators, massive battery packs, and more as you augment your robotic frame to be the ultimate power on the planet. Create, train, and outfit expert weapon and armorsmith robots that can craft super-powered weaponry and gear for your forces. Then take the fight to the deadly creatures populating the most hostile areas of the world, and take down prehistoric monsters undreamed of on Earth, as well as rival Outposts and pirate hideouts swarming with unfriendly foes.

Form a corporation and invite your friends to join, giving them all control of the robots and automated facilities in the base. Set other corporations to allied, neutral, or rival status, and wage war against them. Measure your corporation's worth on the server in leaderboards that indicate who is currently winning the economic war on Gaiya. Contend with anarchist space pirates intent on stealing your hard won natural resources, and fend off higher and higher level attacks as your outpost value skyrockets, weathering constant raids against you when you become the leading power on the server.

" how do we convince players to attack each other while both teams are online ? " This game suffers the same fatal flaws of all the other 'rust like' games: Nolife players will systematically wait 3am to attack you, stalking and waiting until youre gone offline. So its a pretty frustrating game, you build bases without ever seing anyone or any action, and then you come back the next day to find it destroyed. the only action is player vs empty bases, because all they do is wait until the defenders are offline. It basically equates to "the player who are the most ingame win". Losing is one thing that can be fun, but the problem in these games is that its not: you don't ever see any action and you dont get to at least experience the attack from the other players. All you do is grind a base for hours and come back to it destroyed the next day. I had hope in this game as it had defensive towers and NPCs, but apparently they make little to no difference, and the attacker will always have more insentive attacking while you're offline anyways. You can't enjoy these games unless you're playing 24/7 in a team of 4+ players with at least one player online at all times, which is pretty exclusive. This game formula seriously need to work in incentivizing online vs online combat, by adding temporary bonuses to the bases of offline players : increased blocks hitpoints, increased range and damage of defensive towers, forced cease-fire during nights, etc... Until then, no matter how good the rest is, these games remain unplayable and unenjoyable. Sadly that includes Outpost Zero.

My review will be rather lengthy for anyone passing by but hopefully the developers decide to use it to improve their game. With 15 hours of gameplay, I totally recommend this game. Bare in mind that it is still early and clearly not a finished product. Pros and cons of the game >: The ai robots refuse to learn how to charge themselves. More often than not, they run out into nowhere and end up running out of energy even though I've built recharging stations (that are powered) in every location possible. I also don't know if I just haven't figured out how to do this yet or not, but the AI refuse to travel very far from the base to collect materials from my mining facilities that are out in the distance and the same goes for resupplying turrets with ammunition. I tried a variety of something from creating a pathway filled with territory claimers, command centers, recharge stations, and other buildings to no effect. A massive pain that I recently found was when trying to use tier 3 weapons. It appears i can't reload them even though I have the correct ammunition in my inventory while the tier 1 and 2 gear works wonderfully. However, when I re-enter the game, my tier 3 weapons have full magazines even if they were emptied the last time I played. I also realized that at a distance, the rifle and sniper have ZERO ACCURACY. No matter how hard I try, the shots fly in every direction possible EXCEPT for where I aim. The non-moving npcs would be considerd gods on the battlefield for their ability to dodge my weapons without even moving a muscle. Another major detail for combat is the weapons don't have varying damage from mob to mob or body shot vs headshot as far as I can tell. Something to keep in mind. If this terrible accuracy from a distance is intentional, then that is quite underwhelming because it makes the sniper feel more like an average rifle. The submachine gun also appears to fire at a snail's pace when compared to the rifle, which is quite interesting to see since it is meant to be a sub-machine gun which is normally known as low-medium range and high fire rate. As for servers go, I have no idea if this is intentional or will change but I hope the developers decide to implement private servers so I can play cooperatively with JUST MY FRIENDS. I have very little motivation to play this game by myself after having explored and crafted nearly everything currently available to me so it would be nice to bring a friend in without having to face the threat of another enemy player. (at least give us the option is all i would ask as a player) (Another side note is that I hope that we can get more than inventory slots at our disposle. 16 slots AFTER equipping the backpack for inventory enlargement is rather underwhelming when going from node to node for mineral collection or just carrying a wide variety of materials) Now that that is out of the way, lets talk about the fun parts. This game have UNPARALLELED potential. It is pretty cool that a game like this came out where the players attempt to create an autonomous base that is self-sustaining. I wish more games were like this. The world is beautiful and full of wonderous surprises. The fact that the map is quite massive and certain resources are quite scare (I spent 10 hours searching for petroleum - the only resource I needed) makes the game quite challenging with the long distance adventures one must undertake. (However, perhaps the developers could add some raider BASES rather than just pirate raids - another thing to consider). As far as equipment goes, there is a variety of armors that you can equip. There are 3 different types - worker, soldier, and stalker, followed by a tier 1-3 for each of these types. There are currently 7 slots for armor and 2 hand item slots. (only one can currently be used for weapons so I am still trying to determine the usage for the other hand). All around, this game is fun, but by no means a finished product. Some finetuning / polishing for game mechanics, a little bit of elbow grease, and a can or two of raid to remove the bugs and I'm sure this game will become quite popular.

I would not spend the money for this game ever. I bought it in early accesses and it was crap now it out of early access and it still crap and unfinished. Theirs a lot missing out of the game you can only go to Tear-3 of any structure but you skill tree seas you can go to Tear-9 but theirs no Tear-9 in the game. The Slayer Chassis,Stealth Field and the JetPack under the Robotics Factory all require something called Unobtainium this was some resource that they where going to put in the game before Full release but never got put in so now you can't craft any of these items in the Robotics Factory.

Well, played in a Conquest PvE mode with friend. We liked the game. It lacks some polish, has some bugs, feels abandoned by devs, but nevertheless it delivers us pleasure. I didn't like the map (almost all places on it look same, it's not Conan Exiles, but I liked building & crafting very much. Tech tree is great, resource collecting, bots as workers (despite some AI problems like pathfinding) are great.

I like the concept but calling this game finished is just another "Miscreated" move (check that game out...same strategy of calling it quits with a project that didn't go as planned). Seriously though this game had potential and was fun to some extend but in it's current state it's just a waste of time and money. Also it might be me but there seem to be quite a few assets that i've seen elsewhere. No shame in buying stuff for your game, everybody does that (honestly I'd do it too if I was making games). But that should've got you quite some spare time to actually finish the game.

The game is abandoned. Symmetric Games has been shut down and the developers work for a different company now. Steam should stop selling this.

Don't get me wrong - this game is great. I spent 352 hours in there, and was really excited and addicted. But also very frustrated. The core mechanics are not working properly and devs are not trying to fix and imporove them. Instead, they working on visual and useless things, like triangle ceilings, or darker night... This game has a great idea and could be awesome, if your bots will work as they should. Until that, you will find yourself getting angry everytime you log in and realize, that your structures were destroyed, because they were not repaired, some of your bots were destroyed because they were stupid, and nothing was crafted, because remaining bots were just standing there and repeating annoying sentences. And what if you will find out, that after many hours in the game, your well builded and defended base was raided and you have absolutely no idea how the hell that could happend. I enjoyed the game, I was there from the Beta stage, helping devs to improve the game, but when game entered in EA, progress stopped and after many frustrating hours in the game I gave up and unistalled the game... ... and now, I am sooooo happy that I don't play this game anymore.

Abandonware, avoid at all costs! The game is unpolished and runs like crap, features are underdeveloped and the gameplay loop is basic. A survival game is made great if it has great progression or unique gameplay, this has neither so it's not even worth checking out. This is no untapped potential, it's just no potential and i regret the time and money i spent on it, don't make the same mistake as me and avoid this thrash!
