  First impressions: Nice graphics, beautiful even (check out the lake in mission 3 that you have to cross). Really like the way the camera sweeps around the terrain and comes to rest on your vehicle at the start of a mission, accompanied by some really nice choral music. Looks like there are only 4 playable vehicles, 3 tanks and a wheeled vehicle, but they're nicely detailed. In combat you can switch between gunner and commander at will. There are multiple ammo types and vision modes. There's a decent tutorial with both written and verbal instructions. It's certainly more simulation than arcade shooter and what it does, it does well but some may be put off by the limited range of playable vehicles on offer, and the lack of crowd favourites like the Abrams and Challenger etc. Update: Often very frustrating. Games can be challenging but shouldn't be unfair, and this is. Each mission is just an exercise in learning when and where the enemies will appear, when they do, you'd better be ready because you wont last long. The mission after the one in which you cross the lake is just an open, bland brown, hilly landscape that is boring to look at, and it's at this point that I uninstalled the game. I'll re-install and try again if there's an update to the game but as it is, I don't recommend it unless you're a masochist.

  Heroic Amored Company, Features nice graphics, good sounds and pretty cool gameplay if you take your time to get used to it. It's a game made by a Chinese game developer and it shows. Everything in this game is pro China and to be honest.. It's lots of fun to play around with Chinese military gear. Even if it's in an arcade fashion. The story is very political, but that's okay, because it's about China and its border conflicts. There's no question about who's right or wrong in this game; China is always right. Just as with all the american oriented war games, where the yanks are always the top gun. So, nothing new here. What about freedom during a mission? Hmm, well, the maps are rather huge. I mean, I just had to look for a way to cross a river and couldn't find it right away..(As daft as I can be sometimes) so, I just took a detour of some 10km. And since we're not paying the gas bill, that's pretty cool. Feels abit ArmA like. On the other hand.. you do have some pretty tight, scripted events that can drive you to frustration, because you have to follow the order(s) by the letter. But, okay, nothing world or game breaking. There's still enough player freedom to play and toy around with enemies and gear. Bad things? I mean, WTF bad things: Trees... I dunno man, but China must boost some very awkward trees because they are capable of rubber banding your multi ton vehicle like a ping pong ball from time to time. That's rather sh*tty physics if you ask me, but I'm sure it's something a patch can fix. So, is this game a must buy? Only if you're okay with Asian game mechanics and story telling (Might take some getting used to) and if you're fine with playing a proud citizen of the People's Republic of China. But, really, for €14,00 you get a pretty solid arcade armored warfare game. There's (much) worse to get for a higher price.

  Wow this is a suprising one. Sort of Armored Fist 3-ish but from Chinese perspective, single player focused with very good presentation and some waveoff background story. Again, this looks very nice and plays intuitively. Honestly, plays better as a tank game/sim than Gunner Heat PC! in it's current state (but that's due to GHPC being EA)

  Looking forward to all modes being opened up. Game looks promising so far. As of Aug 22, the Story mode is available and is pretty good.

  [h1] Shallow Chinese Tank Arcade[/h1] As it stands, right now, Armored Company of Heroes is an interesting proof of concept that is far from being complete enough to be worth the 15 dollar price tag. The only good thing I can really say about this game is that the graphics are pretty good for early access, but even the pretty tanks can hardly distract from the bare-bones gameplay. Each missions involves you doing the same point-and-click style of combat that begins to grate on your patience even before the first mission is over. Worse, the game requires you to drive through empty, desolate landscapes for up to five or ten minutes at a time until you reach your next "sit here and shoot" spot. The arcade-y mechanics of the game don't help in the variety department either (No bullet drop of any sort, restocking ammo is done by running over Mario Kart style pickups, hitting an enemy on the side does the same damage as hitting them from the front, etc.) So while I will be keeping my eye on this game to see if the developers eventually do anything with this foundational pre-alpha they've built, I can't recommend it to others to buy in its current state.

UPDATE: buckle up, this is going to be a long one. After waiting for a while for new updates, I looked into the developer's track record, to simply put it, they kind of have this a tendency to abandon project, and the discussion on Steam of this game seems like similar situation. I despise this type of behavior, but everyone deserve a second chance(or third, fourth even fifth) so I'm not writing this because of their past behavior, but I'm sure as hell don't have any goodwill throw at them anymore. Pros: 1,Single player tank game base on real world tanks. 2,Passable graphic. Cons: 1, Overly simplified gameplay, even more than WOT(world of tanks) or WT(war thunder) or AW(Armored warfare) 2, No area or component damage, everything is health based, no armor profile, no functional ERA(Explosive Reactive Armor) 3, AI don't use any tactic, so as you, most of the maps are open area with no cover. Enemy just drive straight at you or on a set path, like tower defence game. 4, Very poor visual, non-functional night vision and thermal vision, you will be blinded most of the time by smoke or dust. Enemy helicopter can fire anti-tank missile at you, splash a large area of dust and make you unable to fight back because you can't see anything, by the time the dust subsided, another missile is already on its way to you. 5, Most mission objectives are boring, defending a point for 5 minutes and retrieve to defend another point for 5 minutes is the most common objective you will receive, and it just keep repeat and repeat for up to 40 minutes. 6, Abysmal UI feeds you with false information, QTZ 15 in real world has a top speed of 70 KM/H on road, in game you feels like driving about 30 KM/H tops, but the UI tells you that you are driving on sand at 98 KM/H. I meant to go easy on this game because I see potential, and I wanted to let it grow, since I am a Chinese guy, and I wanted to support Chinese game developers. After I looked into developers track record and their recent inactivity, I am losing hope, and regretting my decision. 都是中国人,平心而论, 咱争口气给他做好来行不行?不能老是半途而废, 以上说的都是实际存在的问题,把它们都做好了, 也给自己长长面子,岂不美哉? 多的不说了,你什么时候把这些做好了, 我评论给你改,游戏帮你推荐.
