  So the core gameplay is pretty harmless. You have a train, you lay the tracks. Problem: The train is already moving and there are only a handful of tracks. So you chop wood, mine iron and build new tracks so the train can move on. Simple as that. Combine this with your friends running around like headless chicken because they forgot that you can't walk through trains, misplaced the mining / chopping tools, got blown up by the dynamite you just placed… and you have lots of chaotic fun. Unless you're German. Then it is a very orderly and civilised game where everybody does their job so the train is punctual.

  Adorable fantastic masterpiece with excellent visual style. I love it, it's fun and works great as a coop game with friends. Runs natively on Linux.

  Unrailed goes from being a really great game with a natural ramp in difficulty until you reach a certain point, then the game starts flipping-the-screen upside-down randomly which was an instant turn-off for our group after playing for about 20 hours. It feels like there are a lot more fun ways the developers could have made the game harder without flipping the screen around. I'm recommending this game, but I'm tempted to not recommend it in this review, because I hope the developers see this and address it, but I also I don't want to be the guy who leaves negative reviews on games. Unfortunately my train ticket has expired... for now

  We are doing game nights with friends, where we usually play around 4-5 games per night. We are playing games that are designed only for up to 4 players on one screen. Do you need and better review than the fact, that after we said "we´ll just try it" we never really changed the game and spend with unrailed 10 hours straight?! I think that this is quite self-explanatory, now go and put some rails on!

  This game has local multiplayer! With enough controllers, and/or keyboards, you can play with up to four people on one computer. In the year of our lord 2021, who does that?! Besides that, the art is simple and appealing, the music goes way harder than it has any right to, and the gameplay is incredibly engaging. The AI can be really finicky if you play solo, but all things considered, this game is awesome!

  The perfect startup simulator, you must try it if you want to launch a business with your friends, top difficulty is highly recommended. So, what do we have here? For a company of four the role distribution works this way: - Our startup (train). We must keep it running, ok? That's why we are here. - Chief of Business Development. Brings clients and investments (wood). Extinguishes the fires sometimes. - Chief of Staff. Brings in cool guys (stone). Extinguishes the fires sometimes. - Chief of Operations. Combines money and staff to build new product features (rails) and release them. Extinguishes the fires sometimes. - CEO. Coordinates the project. Technically: shouts into a mic that all the other guys are useless braindead imbeciles who cannot do even the simpliest things properly; blows up the teammates with dynamite and makes them totally unable to do anything; gives frustrating and mutually exclusive orders; sometimes just has fun with bandits and cows; spends all the money on useless wagons while the team is desperately trying to collect enough resources for upgrading a train. After 9+ years in VC-funded companies I feel really at home in this game.

  You sit there in your dark room pondering what just happened as your train slowly runs off the track and you're stuck behind a huge rock just able to watch and cry as your hours of progress get deleted instantly
