  It's difficult to review this game, as it stands, it's only really a demo. The problem is you're paying (at this time) £21.95 for a game that gives you the ability to drive two routes and quite literally nothing else. If we forget the price, this game has the potential to be fantastic, the modern OMSI. Sounds need some work, but drive-play and physics are really fantastic. Optimisation for 1.8 was god awful, 1.9 has made the game more playable with much less stuttering, but there's far more to do. Buying the game is risky, if they complete it then it's absolutely worth it, but if it get's canned and no more development time goes into it then you're left £22 out of pocket for game that offers nothing more than a couple of 45 minute driving sessions. As things stand, it either shouldn't have been released, or released in it's current state as a free to play demo with the promise of a more complete paid version later down the road. Calling a game Early Access isn't an excuse to charge a full-release price for a game that isn't even in what could be reasonably considered a beta. You might disagree but I find this game nothing more than a master of potential with a promise still to be fulfilled. For now, I don't recommend, but once the game get's to a better stage, I'll come back and update this.

  This game is going to become – or already is – the new gold standard for truck and bus simulations thanks to its ultrarealistic game world, good bus physics, and a satisfying traffic AI and density (I'm looking at you, ETS 2). The only thing that could stop this game from becoming as successful as ETS 2 might be the developers' unwillingness to optimize the game's performance in the future (see Tourist Bus Simulator and Fernbus Simulator) and a question of how quickly they can expand the game with new high-quality content after the release of the full version.

  My two hour review, but it was enough to see how this game is doing being in early access. I will start by saying, this game is a great step forward. I've been looking for a bus simulator for ages and I've yet found it, until yesterday when I decided to buy this game. I own: Omsi2, Bus Simulator 18, Fernbus , Bus Driving Sim 22, and they don't cut it one bit. Out of that bunch, Fernbus is the best one, but it just didn't scratch my itch enough. I decided to buy this game yesterday, and the game is such an improvement from Fernbus and so easy to setup I actually enjoyed it. The graphics are phenomenal. I will say this, it doesn't matter what PC you have (you can have the best graphics card in the world) the best processor, a crazy amount of ram, and this game will refuse to run properly. The game is not well optimized. BUT, it's playable. I'd say I get around mid 30's to upper 40's fps in medium to high settings. I only noticed one big fps drop, but it was like for 5 seconds, other than that, the game ran fairly well. The map is quite big, and it dives you into Berlin. The graphics are so beautiful you actually feel you're nothing more but a tourist. Routes are fairly long, and we only have a handful of buses for now. The game is still in early access. Same with the city, I am sure more cities will be implemented later on. Same with economy (have your own bus company and drivers) and multiplayer. My biggest pet peeves with this game, is the AI. The AI in this game are straight up maniacs. As funny as that may sound, you can be having the drive of your life and just enjoying the gameplay, and all of a sudden, an out of nowhere driver, will cut you off (you being in the bus lane) and will crash into you. The AI in this game don't joke around, they're straight up suicidal. Another annoyance that I have with these games (Fernbus and The Bus) since they're both made by the same devs, is that every passenger looks the same (haha) it makes me feel a little uncomfortable, as if I'm transporting lab clones or something...haha a little more variety on passengers wouldn't harm. It gets a little annoying seeing the same passengers on every bus stop and on every corner of the city. All in all, it's a great fun game. A big step forward in the Bus Simulator world ...finally Pros Phenomenal graphics Fun gameplay Best bus simulator out there Road map is quite promising Cons Bad optimization (but playable) Horrible AI NPCs are all a bunch of clones no variety

  Finally!! This game has everything that the other sims were lacking!! After 4.4 hours of nonstop driving, I'm already ready to get back to it. Optimization needs work, but with some tweaking it can be very playable. 3070, i7 9700k, playing 4k between high and epic with a steady 30 - 40 FPS. Some things that ive tweaked- -Force DirectX11 (youtube it, its super simple) -Max Frames @ 40 FPS in the Nvidia control pannel -In game frame limit set to INFINITE HAPPY DRIVING

There is a few buses to choose from and 4 routes. More user generated routes in the same map can be found in the workshop. The game is soon to have modding tools, and this may introduce new user-generated maps. ☐ Very good ☑ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- The audio of everything inside the bus is perfect, from the sound of the doors opening to the sound of the road.   Yep. 20 months since release and the performance is still absolutely horrendous. Plays more like a tech demo than a game, it's just lifeless, like the FPS.

  So far I'm enjoying this game and I think it has amazing potential if they follow through with what they're planning to add and change especially more Busses, Performance optimizations and Bus AI. With those three things the game is great but for now it's good. Very nice to drive a line back and forth and for me a huge upgrade from OMSI 2, I have a really good pc that at rough places pulls 30fps and at easier spots a comfortable 80fps so I think if you don't have a good pc this game won't run great in this current version but they will probably improve that overtime.
