  Well, this used to be good software. I used it for several tile sets I needed for a game project. Now unfortunately they seem to have gone for style over function, sure the menu is pretty, but it has 20x the bugs. It moves slowly, and crashes constantly. If it doesn't crash it eats up memory. I have a 32gb RAM system and tilesetter chugged up 70% of it. I'm not sure what the issue is, but my god I hope they fix it. If stability and usability are improved, give it a try. It can be extremely helpful for building tile sets. Right now its a hard pass.

  This tool is extremely quick to use and handy. Particularly like it as a non-artist myself, very useful to make placeholder tilesets that are a lot more pleasant to look at than my typical "programmer art".

  I wanted to give this a chance I really did. I bought it expecting high expectations. Don't get me wrong I loved it at first but it was super buggy. I knew this would probably get fixed later. However, nothing was done. This program just feels like abandon ware at this point. People have talked about this having issues but no word from the creator or their existence that I have heard. Not sure if they truly abandoned or are busy with life but this program has been abandoned for a few years.

  I am not an artistic person. I have paid a couple hundred or so to a few artist for a game I'm working on. Tilesetter is super useful; I can make a tessellated pattern in aseprite and then import it here. With a little GIMP kung fu, I make a border. I import both files into tilesetter and BOOM I have a complete tileset. Was it the best art? Not really; I suck at drawing but something similar would've cost me like $50 from a contracted artist MINIMUM. Even though I suck at art, this at the very least made it easy for me to make prototype graphics that I can replace later lon

  An extremely powerful tool with a very intuitive design and workflow. I found it by luck when looking through some online videos (I recommend you do the same to see how the tool works), and I'm very happy with the purchase, it is a very smart and efficient tool. Recommended for any game developer or artist. :)

  I stumbled upon a review for this software on youtube by a guy named HeartBeast. I purchased Tilesetter before the video was even finished playing. This software is really awesome for what it does. Saves a ton of time by auto generating tile sets. You still need a separate piece of software to create your original tiles (like Aseprite), but Tilesetter lets you go from a single tile to a full fledged tileset in a matter of seconds. It's pretty amazing. I wish there was Unreal support, but I get that Unreal isn't really ideal for 2D. It's what I use though.

  UI basically requires watching the developer's video's in order to use. "New Project" doesn't work, it doesn't reset the project. Got base tiles with a margin between tiles? This app can't deal with them. It's a nice idea, and a neat concept to quickly make a set of tiles in limited cases but it needs a lot polishing.
