  Meh. I bought it, I tried it, I didn't care for it. What ya gonna do? Apparently it's Abandonware anyway, so there's that.

  The game showed promise, let's just say. It didn't shine much though. But at the moment the last update was almost a year ago. The developers don't seem to be going to finish anything. Another project that died in the early access stage. RIP

  For an Alpha game, it's amazing for what it is! I would say that this game might be slightly too difficult for someone who just started the game, but it definitely has its upsides.

  So i say this game is good for RTS fans who want that old school feel with new age gameplay and looks. BUT, it problems show right from the start with the mothership and main menu. It lacks a real tutorial on how to play but has a read me help buttion during gameplay. While good it's isn't great as a step by step training mission. Now the mother ship as you can tell will be your main base and building ship (and only build ship from what i can see). while it says xamount of HP it doesn't take that long to kill it. The UI for building structures close buttion doesn't really work good since it will clip with other things on the mothership's UI. the amount of resoures you have on the mothership shouldn't be shown on the mother ship it self but as a little counter on the screen because it clips through other structures. Have it so we can just right click to move units instead of clicking the move button or pressing the space key or have a select all units buttion some where so its easier to warp units. I like how they will auto target and patroll the area without being told to but it sucks when the AI attack one of your systems and you have to one by one tell ships to get into the portal and go defend the system. So overall this game is good for people who like old school command and conquer like games.

  I have been playing StarFringe: Adversus for a number of days, now, and find it fairly enjoyable even though it has a tendancy to crash at the most inopportune times - such as right after you move to a new sector. I have found that it's much better to hit the save just before you do something important. While the program DOES have an autosave feature, it's not adjustable and tends to overwrite earlier autosaves also at the most inopportune times. Better to stay on top of the saves yourself. That said, the game has great promise. It seems to be fairly heavily slanted in the computer players favor, though. The computer player seems to be able to build up it's forces MUCH faster than the human player, and the computer player is able to take over the map a whole LOT faster than the human player. I realize this game is still, technically, in development but this can be disheartening to some players. Also, I haven't been able to find where to contact the company directly to present my thoughts on the game. I don't know if the company is still working on the game or not. I HOPE so, because I'd like to see the game reach it's full potential.
