  Passed 100% The game is very good, especially for the New Year, but there was no time, so passed now. 2 lire justifies calmly, with a discount even cheaper! The game is short, but it's still very good for your money, + it's very atmospheric, in general, I definitely advise everyone to buy.

  While I was so excited to play this, love the indie aspect and really want to support the developers, I simply can't for one reason: No matter what I did, I kept getting killed! I see the other reviews about how it's a great puzzle, but it's also set up to EXPLORE! Another thing is, without a map, many of the doors look the same and it's awkward opening them, so you can easily get disoriented and end up going in circles. Early in the game there was a very clever puzzle which added a major feature to the game without spoiling it, I thought that was amazingly inventive! So kudos to the developers for that, even including a self effacing in game joke! But overall why give players One Hit Kills in what's essentially an environment begging to be explored? At least let us run away or use an item or punch & kick to defend ourselves. What's this Dragon's Lair??

  Giving you the bad ending straight away has you determined to beat this nightmare. It pulls you in and keeps you on your toes, it may be a small house but this is a tale of terror like no other. Eventually, your brain power silences the scares making the story so intriguing! This company, wow! Can't wait to play the rest, stream them and sing the praise of you! Keep it up

  Holiday bit sized horror game. It has some suspenseful moments with a dash of fear. It has some puzzle solving and a few uniquer mechanics utilizing the PC in the starting room. I played around and got all the achievements in about an hour. This game, currently priced at 1 USD or less on sale, is completely worth it. The snack sized horror niche is a favorite for those of us who have busy lives and not a lot of time to delve into a complicated time consuming game. This hits that target and I enjoyed it. Thanks for the bite sized horror games SHS, I appreciate it.

  Was recommended to play this right after I finished Crimson Snow. Certainly feels like a "first game" but is well polished! Some puzzles were a little less obvious/lacking hints, so I let my chat backseat and help me out. Outside of that, like I said, was pretty well polished, good performance, uneasy atmosphere, solid jumpscares. Can't beat the price point either!

  Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this! A short walking simulator horror game. It's... not terrible, but also nothing special. You walk from room to room looking for keys while creepy things happen, like blood from the shower, a pig's head in the fridge, etc. There's three "hidden" puzzles which are necessary to get the good ending. Unfortunately one of them (the password) is broken, so the only way to solve it is to look up a guide. The performance is good. There's a decent number of options, although no way to turn off motion blur. For some reason my game had horizontal bars across the top/bottom of the screen, even though I played at a normal 16:9 aspect ratio. There are a lot of misspellings and broken grammar. The game takes 20-30 minutes to beat. Overall if you like horror games like Layers of Fear, you'll probably enjoy this. But if you're looking for a walking simulator with interesting gameplay, puzzles, or story, look elsewhere.

  Steppe Hare Studio showed us promise with this first outing, and it definitely feels like a jumping pad for what they'd inevitably conjure up in the future. Albeit short, I feel like it follows the rule of a "Snack Sale" This lil experience goes for the same price as a gas station snack, but lasts considerably longer and has more substance. There are some fun puzzles that will make you wrack your brain, an interactive webchat with a working text bar, and some solid sound design and ambience. The story is non-existent, (or up to player interpretation if you wanna be like that), there are assets you've probably seen before, and the jumpscares aren't very good, but you can't expect much for a $1 game. I say buy it! It'll run you a solid 45 minutes - 1 hour depending on how new you are to these sorts of games, and how long the puzzles take you. Always support indie developers who show promise. Who knows, maybe you'll find it scary too! 7.5/10 Not too bad at all

  Irony Of Nightmare is an indie horror game. Pros are great atmosphere, thats it! At times, it’s hard to see around you and at some points it seems like it was intentional so people wouldn’t notice how lazy the developers were when they were creating this game. In terms of graphics, Irony Of Nightmare is as basic as most of these indie horror games get. This game had such a good premise, the atmosphere was great, but failed massively in gameplay. You get bored if you invest 15 or so minutes into Irony Of Nightmare. It has a great concept but a terrible execution. The game environment may have made for a good story if one was present. Perhaps it will in the future. Good concept, but poor execution. And please - less effects, more story.

  Cool. I did not expect this game to be surprisingly good... Yes, the game is low budget and the price is only 99 cents. Worth the 99 cents? Absolutely. Even though it is super short and only delivers roughly 30 minutes worth of gameplay, but the atmosphere is fantastic and something horror fans would love to check out. It builds tension very very well and uses a variety of things such as flickering lights, brief mysterious messages, creepy noises, and small bizarre events. It also forces you to be cautious of the mysterious killer lurking around the house wanting to get your head. That helped to create the jumpscares to be quite scary and unexpected. People have known jumpscares to be annoying and pointless in other games but is not the case for this game. The jumpscares were actually done well even with the obvious flaws of being a low budget title. To simply summarize the graphics, it is very similar to "Emily Wants to Play" and "Boogeyman" which both are under the use of Unreal Engine 4. I love the holiday theme used in the game and it brought me some memories of watching holiday horror films like Black Christmas, Silent Night Deadly Night and an unexpected Science Fiction film which I cannot explain further without spoiling the game. Overall, a very enjoyable cheap game worth to experience for horror enthusiasts. 99 cents do not hurt. 6.8 out of 10
