  I was only 17 years old. I loved Hyper Box so much, I've watched all the trailers and art. I pray for Hyper Box's release every night before bed, thanking the game for the life I've been given. "Hyper Box is love" I say; "Hyper Box is life". My friends hears me and calls me a noob. I know they were just jealous of my devotion for Hyper Box. I called them scrubs. They beat me down and tells me to go away. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. Suddenly, a warmth is moving towards me, It's Hyper Box. I am so happy. The game whispers into my ear "This is my box". It grabs me with his powerful skin corners and puts me down onto my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my wallet for Hyper Box. It penetrates my money. It hurts so much in the bank but I do it for Hyper Box. I can feel my wallet tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against its corners. I want to please Hyper Box. It roars in good music as he fills my wallet with its addiction. My friends walks towards me. Hyper Box looks them straight in their eyes and says "It's just rage left.". Hyper Box leaves through a window. Hyper Box is love. Hyper Box is life. 10/10

  At the moment the concept is great and I think the gameplay and etc. would be extremely enjoyable IF there was some control support, keybinds, and basic options like that. Currently using the up / down / side arrows make it almost impossible and frustrating when the controls don't react as expected. Overall the game could be great, just needs some more control tuning and some options! I will review this game in a few weeks again and would love to edit my review. --------------UPDATE------------------------ That game has improved quite a bit and the game is getting better and better. I still can't recommend this game though until the controls get slightly better. I think the problem is when I am playing this game I expect the controls to be on spot with SMB due to the type of game this is. As they continue to optimizae the controls I will review once again and hopefully in the future I can recommend.

  Hyper box is an extremely fun, addictive, but frustrating 2-D platformer. The difficulty ramp is insane. They give you three easy levels to make you feel good, and then they just throw a punch at you that you were not prepared for which you take to the face. I loved it! I was stuck playing it for awhile just trying to pass one level. One level for 30 minutes! Pros: -Increasing difficulty -Addictively fun (you just want to get to the next level!) -Different costumes so that you can pimp out your cube -More expansions to come, and hopefully new challenges -The creator made WASD available as an alternate to the arrows, which is astounding. Cons: -Gets kind of repetitive after some time of playing -The difficulty ramp seems a little intense (I got stuck on the 7th level) -Music is rather loud, and there is no options in game to make it softer (Only a mute button) I know this game is early access, so the control scheme will probably become more customizable and the options added as time goes on. I believe this game to have a lot of potential, and I personally would love to see it thrive.   I had the Hyper Box first on the mobile, and I must say, if you miss the old hard games, this is a hard game were you should be quick on the keyboard. Gonna rage abit, but thats all good to get that good feeling that you managed it in the end. It got a nice simplistic style over it that feels abit retro. And as a oldschool gamer, I love it. Give it a try if you have some spare change or credits you dont quite know were to use it.

  This game has no controller support. The only reason I bought it was because I thought it played like super meatboy; my favorite game ever! Without a control this game is not enjoyable and I do not recomend it. With control support I will write another review. The game looks interesting if you like SMB but without controller, not worth it.

  Having just completed this game, I can say without a doubt that it is one of the more challenging platformers I have played in my time. Despite some ragey moments, the game was very much a positive experience for me. I enjoyed the level design, Pixelated Cupcake did a lot with a little, as he constructed engaging stages that always helped the player grow. What you'll find in this game depends primarily on what you are looking for. Do you want a rage game? If so, this game will definately scratch that itch, not by being unfair though, simply by being brutal in what it demands from you in terms of execution. Do you want a precision platformer? Again, this game will give you that experience, if you are willing to forgive the occasional glitch. Do you want a game that guides you? This game does indeed guide you, it just does so by punishing your failures and nominally rewarding your successes. Basically, if you are seeking a platformer that will test your mental abilities as well as your reactions, then you should certainly give Hyper Box a try. Don't expect much in the way of unfair deaths, but don't expect to be able to skate by on luck either.
