  I highgly Reccomend but not in tis current state, A Really Great New DLC & Addition to Fishing Barents Sea I Love the New Selfa Boat Model & Being able to now experience the King Crab Season. I think strongly their does though however need to be a new medium sized Crabbing Vessel after the Selfa, as it effects progression going from a small vessel to a massive Crabbing liner & not having a Crab boat to advance to in between just doesnt make sense to me. DLC is game Breaking at current unable to play the content,

  Played for 10 minutes and crashed twice not sure how to sex the king crabs and what to do and crashes anyway just an update the larger of the two ships has a major bug you set crab pots fine you bring them in fine but if you switch to move the ship before you empty the pot game sits in limbo does nothing i have just wasted hours on this to give it a chance again but nothing a bad dlc i wish i hadnt bought the next update they bring out i will not be buying save your money and dont bother

  TLDR could have been good but isnt so on the plus side the 2 new boats are looking just great but sadly thats where its seems to spring a leak. the first and formost issue really is one of bugs, on release it seems like quite a few are having crashes that either limit or eliminate their ability to play the dlc content but we are assured that these are already being worked on. some might think it was rushed out and others might say its par for the course and just happens, either way you can decide that. the new small boat seems good (have bug on release that makes it unplayable), the work load has a good flow and feels involving with everything needed at hand, its fast agile and can also net and line fish as well as crab. the second larger ship looks amazing but leaves the player feeling overworked, it has only 1 crew member who will only bait and drop pots, this leaves the player rushing the length of the ship to hoist in>>>run>>>sort, stack in a time that is hopelessly longer than the time it took to set the pots in the first place, slowly you fall father and father behind while all the time cursing the fact that its almost impossible to neatly restack the pots on your ship. it feels awkward and undermanned and makes you wish the first boat wasnt bugged. half of this dlc is great if you enjoy small boat fishing in this game, most will have dreams of tv programs and big ships crabfishing in a way that is familiar to them and sadly its going to be a let down for them, i felt bored annoyed at the workload and the stacking mechanic to the point that after an hour i returned to line fishing. i cannot recomend this even without the bugs it makes some blatant mistakes in gameplay there is a postscript to this review: 3 days, 3 patches and one new feature later and the game appears to be getting worse more and more bugs seem to be popping up and the game on the whole seems unstable and unreliable, lets not forget that the devs have shown commitment to supporting the game and we can expect these bugs to be worked out in time, but i suspect that both the devs and the players know by now that this just wasnt ready. it is hurting their reputation as they get negative reviews but at least they are trying and are keeping an active presence on the boards. the release might be bad and bugged but the devs deserve a measure of respect for not acting like so many others have in this situation and simply going dark

  Fishing for bugs and crashes. Guys come on!! Stop releasing untested content.. Start betas first or something. Second DLC with loads from getgo. New mechanics, GREAT.. But, man, we are closing up to AAA project on price. And its not even finished.

  This is a fun update granted when it launched it wasnt 100 but they quickly fixed the crash bug. ALSO! For anyone wondering how to sex the crabs(which are male which are female) the females are more purple in color and have a round underplate, The males are more red and have a triangle section in the middle of there under plates.

  great idea for dlc but was lackluster. on the bigger of the two new ships i found a couple bugs and problems. the bug i found when i left port i was going to do a trial run of 30 pots. for some reason once i began hauling pots another would randomly show up on deck so i came back to port with 52 pots??? free money but if i had the full of pots i would not have been able to get all my gear out of the water. the big breaker for me was lack of crew up on the bigger ship. you can have a crew bait and set pots but i guess its the captains job to use the crane to unstack the pot to get baited and after a soak you have to haul the pot then put it on the sorting table, run down empty the pot, sort the crab and then run back to stack the pot which is impossible because they wont stack straight so you loose room and it looks like crap. why they choose to do it that way i do not understand, when they could have added crew there to help you out....could be great with alot of polishing

  First of all I want to start off by saying that I really enjoy this game and will continue to support it. With that out of the way, this DLC is a rough direction for a good dev team to be heading down. The overall price for the actual amount of content added is a little sketchy. The largest of the new King Crab ships is a +1 crew. So those of us that have been playing through the end game with our high leveled crews are going to get shafted by having to fire 6 out of 7 of them just to play the new stuff. There's no reason a super sized ship couldn't have been added for this, even if it was directed at having you play the new mini game. Then you get to the fact that the DLC stuff crashes the game constantly. I can go out in my Hermes and fish for hours but as soon as I start setting pots in the new ship it goes straight to desktop. With how many people are reporting the same experience across a variety of hardware, it makes me think that this dlc got rushed out of the door to the shelves. I have faith that this will be playable and even enjoyable soon, but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Release ships with a beginning, middle, and end-game in mind. Make sure it's playable for everyone. And please make sure there's a little more content for the price. EDIT: After the update it seems more stable. Also, and idk if this was just added, but there is a "crew house" feature I had not noticed before that saves you from firing your crew for a monthly fee of storing them in the house.

  Well it takes a bit practise to operate the crane but overall a great edition to the game,its need alittle polish but ive had no bugs or crashes and have set 40+ large pots. Im very please crab fishing is here.

  I like the idea of fishing crabs, however as many has pointed out, it is very buggy in its current state. When I bought the biggest crab boat all my upgrades disappeared after a reload (crash), my crew member was gone and the cherry on top was that my crab cages got duplicated when I unloaded them again onto the boat. I guess I'll have to wait until It's playable.

  This is a good DLC and most of the negative reviews are simply because it had a rocky release. I'm going to tell it to you like it is, and not lose my mind over a few bugs and glitches as I actually have encountered NONE. So yes, Crabs! You get two boats made for crabs, and the smaller one can actually do lines and nets as well. The big one is 100% crab focused. There's two kinds of crab traps, small circular ones and big square ones. Small ones are used on the small crab boat, big on the big. You buy bait for the traps at port as well as traps, and head out. At this point depending on which boat you're on varies in method. The small boat is pretty straightforward and you do all the work. You can work very fast and have all your traps up again without any going rotten. Also the small crab boat is very fast and kind of fun to drive! It doesn't feel unrealistic to me. The big boat though, has some problems. As I've experienced so far, you can't bait and set your own traps on the big boat. You have to have a worker to do it. There is now Baiting and Sorting skills for workers. Your current workers probably won't have any! Baiting traps skill effects how fast the worker baits and drops the traps. Sorting skill effects how fast they sort crabs, and also how accurate they sort males and females. You're not going to end up with a ton of female crab mistakes at no skill, but a few will get in there. Some of the major functionality issues(NOT bugs) with the big crab boat is that you have to operate the crane to put a trap on the table for your worker. You also have to operate the crane to pick up a full trap, place it on the table, wait for your workers to empty it(Actually you can do the emptying and sorting yourself), then pick it up and put it back in the stack. However if you don't move it from the table when you pick up the next trap, it Will place itself back neatly. But the bigger issue I personally dislike is the ship can hold 50 traps, and you think you could put the boat on 10 knots or something and keep laying them out, but it takes FAR longer to harvest the traps than to lay them. The 'ready' time to pick the traps is too small a window to pick up even 10 layed out in succession without a couple going rotten. To utilize the full potential of the boat, you have to be very careful of time between laying your traps. Also the King Crab habitats on the map can get quickly depleted from laying out 10+ traps in one 'bloom'. So picking up, re-baiting, and dropping the traps again is not a viable option unless done with stratagy. And really that's a big part of this game, finding the right stratagies to pull in good harvests! So despite the problems it has, I still feel it is worth its price and is enjoyable as a DLC.
