Fire: Ungh’s Quest Возможности

FIRE is a puzzleventure with intuitive puzzle design. Without losing many words it tells a savagely hilarious story. Journey into the Stone Age and face the most challenging task of this era: The search for fire!

This story's hero is the lovably chaotic Neanderthal Ungh who dozes off during his very first night watch. The next morning, the catastrophe ensues: the fire's gone out and Ungh is banished from his village. Now you have to help Ungh finding a new flame, searching every corner of the Stone Age world. No matter if he has to search the insides of a dinosaur, smoldering volcanoes or even through time itself, there is no place Ungh wouldn't look for new fire.

One click or swipe and your environment comes to life. A small dash of logic and you'll be able to solve any puzzle and there will be no limit to your exploratory spirit while interacting with the game's world: fire coconuts from a mammoth's trunk, turn into an animal or save the fair maiden from the Octo-Boss' grasp.

  • No text or dialogue at all

  • Coherent and intuitive controls

  • Explore a lovable, vividly animated Stone Age world

  • 10 beautifully hand-drawn sceneries

  • Atmospheric soundtrack by the composer of "The Night of the Rabbit" included with every purchase

This is a very short game despite that large download size. It seems to be a port from a mobile game and certain "interface" of the mobile version is kept on the starting screen, kinda makes it looks broken and incomplete. Lazy job on the port i guess. The stages are fun and players can finish the game without reading a single word. There's a few challenges in finding the well hidden secret objects. But that's it, the story is pretty much a meh... or none existence other than Ungh the caveman needs to get a fire so he can return to his village. The journey is a bizarre one and nonsensual in a cute way. The music are nice, almost on par with Raymond's Adventure imo... So all in all, it's not a bad game, just probably not worth the full price, and watch out of that weird huge download size for a short game.

This is not so much a Point & Click Adventure game as an Adventure Puzzle game. You progress through levels, there's no real dialogue, and there isn't really an inventory since you carry one thing at a time except for one inventory puzzle where you combine inventory items then still end up with really only one object you can carry. This is much more of a puzzle game with a loose story of you (Ungh) searching for fire after being kicked out of your villager for letting the previous village fire die. This game is very reminiscent of a 90's game series by Sierra called Gobliiins. Your character goes around the screen on the level interacting with various things and when done in the right order you can solve the puzzle and progress to the next level. The puzzles range from easy to moderate to solve, most are on the easy side with only a few being more confusing or complex. There's little direction, but things are intuitive enough that you'll find you don't really need them. The game is styled to be a bit crude and that's directly in line with presenting the underdeveloped sense of being a caveman. He's somewhat juvenile and crude in nature (as well as his visual representation). For example he laughs at a guy being hit by and burnt to ash by a lightning bolt. There's a frog's anus that you plug up, you manipulate the insides of a dinosaur, etc... I saw these as repesntative of the simple, crude, juvenile behaviour we represent as being stone aged and characteristic of cave men. As such, I thought they were a little gross, but fitting and even funny when taken in the context. This game is pretty short, it's around 2-3 hours to playthough a little longer if you need to replay though the levels to get missing achievements and collectibles. I though there were a reasonble mix of achievements with some being progression/level/story unlocked wioth some requiring specific actions or actions performed in a specific order. I don't think it's worth the full price of $10, but if you see it on sale and enjoy solving situational type puzzles you may want to give it a try.

Each level has a few amount of screens to travel to so finding the right path isn't too difficult. Also no inventory to juggle but you do have to carry around objects and put them certain places. The later half definitely felt less involved than the first. Was sometimes annoying having to replay a level if I missed a collectible but there are only 3 per stage so not that bad.

Fire is an interesting presented puzzle game that won't be for everyone, but it's good for a laid back and not stressful experience. The Puzzles aren't that hard and are more about trying combinations until you find the right one at times, but it does a good job in presentation and has a unique atmosphere around it. It does lack a knockout blow in terms of the experience, but it's decent never the less. Not for everyone. +: -Visuals work, especially when portraying emotion. -Good use of sound here and there and in various moments. -Good for those who don't want stress in a puzzle game. -See a game that would be good for problem solving for younger children. -: -Too little in terms of “failure”. No addition objects that don't really do anything to confuse the player, which means the solution will be straight forward. -Not hard. Puzzles are straight forward most of the time. Just takes time to find. For same gameplay and more first Impressions: http://youtu.be/a_XS4gtc3W0

I am writing this short overview to make it a bit more clear on how short the game really is. Most of the reviewers here tell that the game is short and one mentions that it is around 6 hours short... I understand that every player's time may vary, but this number seems too overexaggerated. It took me personally 2 hours exactly to complete the game without using any hints. I didn't go out of my way to find all the collectibles (coins), but I managed to find 17 out of 30 in those 2 hours I spend with that game. 100% completion would be possible in 3 hours most. Otherwise, I loved the game a lot. Reminded me of Gobliiins. Except that the latter was much more difficult and required much more time to complete... NB! My in-game time record is way off because I left the game running for some time without actually playing it.

This game is not for adults. If you're an adult, there is barely 2 hours worth of content. It is a well made game however. It's for the most part clear what you're supposed to do, even without any intelligible dialogues. I'd recommend it for your kids.

This game was quite fun! The graphics and the story are both funny, and the controls are great. The game consists of a series of levels where you solve independent puzzles in a relatively small area. This makes the game relatively easy. That said, each level has a unique style of puzzles which is certainly interesting. The reason I am not recommending the game however is not that the game is bad, on the contrary, it's an excellent game. It's just that it's too short for its price. If you have noticed play time of reviewers, barely anyone has played above 5 hours. A game like this, where once finished, there is not much any point for replay, 10 euros is too high. That said, if you see this game in a sale where you could buy it for 2~3 euros, by all means, buy it! It's short, but fun. Personally, this game could have become one of my favorites, because with every level you have a different style of puzzles, only if it were substantially longer so it wouldn't be just a game you played for a couple hours and forgot about.

Such a different game from Daedalic usual long point n click games and I actually loved this and had more fun playing this than some of their other games which is the usual type of game I play, so for fun factor alone was worth $5 I paid. It's the type of game you play between those long adventure games, when you just want fun and to relax and not work too hard! I only recommend it if you can get it in a sale and at 50%+ off as yes it is short but if you like to get 100% complete on games as I do, working out how to get those last 5 or so coins, is and of itself a puzzle and actually took me as long finding them all as I did on playing the main game! As always if you look to w/t for any help or not look for ALL coins it will be a lot quicker. I've paid the same for long games and didn't enjoy them half as much as this so it's not all about the length. The game comprises of 10 different levels and at most has 3 different screens. So it's not what you expect an adventure game to be and in fact I'd class this more of a puzzle/interactive game. So you can't get lost and maybe that coupled with the graphics and some easy parts to levels some think it is just a kid's game but it's not as I had a lot of fun with it. If you want it longer do what I did and don't hit the spacebar which shows you hotspots. You play as a caveman and your aim in each level is to release/catch the firefly and there is no dialogue (apart from some cavemen speak) It's funny, witty, clever and I would love to see more levels via DLC. Puzzles are mixture of logic, clicking quickly, trial and error and arcade type. I am bad at arcade but that side was very easy. If you normally are not good at puzzles I think this is a good game to start on, as they aren't hard. Warning to the hard of hearing there is a level that is mostly music related, you could figure it out by trial and error (or look at a w/t). Do not leave the level to check on coins, map or anything as you will have to replay it from the beginning, as I frequently found out as I was trying to find the manual save button in level which there isn't any. But once you figure out your level it is very quick to replay. Re achievements it's
mostly, or if not all auto gameplay related apart from the 30 coins I do advise you checking after each level that you got 3 coins so you know where you missed them, I was stupid and didn't so hadn't a clue where I missed them it's not just clicking on them when you see them but some you have to do things and then they are auto given on completion.
I also would recommend you playing with at least audio on so you can hear if you got them or not. I wish this game was longer purely as I had a blast playing it, I play enough head scratching games so love these more relaxing games for a change, so if it's on a super sale (IMO under $5) grab it and just have fun for a couple/few hours.

Every time I want to interact with something I have to wait for an animation to finish. It's so frustrating. Also The puzzles are really simple and not really clever.

For a Daedelic game I was quite dissapointed. The artwork is really fun, and the soundtrack is good, but some of the puzzles are quite abstract, I would often look at an object and not know what it is, leading to random clicking to find out where to go or what to do. It felt as if they tried to save time developing multiple language packs so they just invented stuff. The videos make it look better than it is. As others have mentioned the game is also really short (I would recommend getting it on sale).
