  Amazing! great plane from "soviet" era - the Czechoslovak L39 Albatros. One of the best training aircraft of the world. Version ZA is able to provide you with basic CAS -> bonus in the DCS because primary roll of the Albatros is training aircraft and this roll fulfill on 100% - for the reason of two playable seats (pilot + instructor). Plane is very comfort for flight and ideal for basic operation including basic of VFR NAVigation and basic of IFR , basic introduction with old GEN of weapons, training for landing, take-off and funny flight :) Summary: funny and very bautiful plane for basic and intermediate training of DCS flying

  I bought flaming cliffs 3, and the MIGS/SU planes were great. So I decided I wanted a full clickable plane and got the F-16. The F-16 turned out to be fun, but too complex. So I went for a trainer as my 2nd bought Clickable module. I also got this mod on discount, like 20% of I think. Pros: The L-39 is super fun to fly. Is a great trainer, and you can fly it with a friend if they have the Mod as well. My favorite is to take off from the pre-set free flight mission in Syria. Its fully clickable which is great! The View from the backseat and the ability to fly it from the back seat is also super cool! This Mod also gives you the L-39Z version which is a combat aircraft, that has a Incendiary rounds machine gun in the front and can be armed with various Missiles, bombs, extra Machine gun pods, and Aerobatics smoke/ flare bombs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TL3hpBHZ6RI L-39Z CAS Mission The Plane comes with a special Flare Dispenser which looks super cool when you fly the plane at night! Cons: It has no counter measures! So if something shoots a missile at you, only your pilot skills will save you if at all! You can pop cute multi-color Aerobatic flares as they shoot you down, but thats it. Its ground steering takes some serious getting use too, I honestly spent more time learning to steer the aircraft to the tarmac and back then I did flying/taking off. Make sure you have the patience to learn the steering and Taxing of the Aircraft! Its just like most of the other Russian Aircraft in that regard. At the beginning I thought the MOD was bugged, the Flaps do not set for landing if your Airspeed is too fast... I think above 140 knotts. The planes like to land a slow speed of 110 I think. As far as the added missions pack for the L-39, its like $6 or something, less than a cup of coffee, I would buy it, but beware the training missions with that Mission pack are a bit buggy, the first one doesnt always work, but for $6 cant complain.

  Just took the L-39 out for a spin: It's a great looking aircraft; model is beautifully done and cockpit is very detailed. As you would expect from an aircraft of this type, its really easy to fly and operate.

Eagle Dynamics has done a fantastic job recreating the L-39. It feels like a lot of care went into it even though it's a relatively simple trainer. The PFM [i](Professional Flight Model)[/i] makes it fun to cruise around in. Combine that with the beautifully crafted model and sounds [i](both interior and exterior)[/i], and it's a nice and tidy package. Is it worth $43.00?        [strike]Well it's in open beta, and multi-cockpit functionality isn't working fully yet. It's worth noting that the ZA (light-attack) variant will be free and open to owners of the L-39[b]C[/b], later in the beta. This will open up plenty more mission opportunities for it and make it even more worthwhile. I would say if it intrigues you and you have the extra money, go for it. Otherwise, maybe hold off until the L-39ZA is out.[/strike] To me, it's worth it. Any negatives stem from how the actual aircraft performs, but that's just how it is in real life :) It's a trainer, true to its name.   This plane is my first (other than the f-15) in DCS and I have to say I love it! The cockpit is fully clickable and the plane is very simple to learn compared to other fully interactive cockpits. It serves me as a trainer which is what is designed to do. I recommend it if you are just getting into DCS like me.

  Albatros is the newest official addon to DCS World and as usual it does not disappoint as far as depth, quality and graphics goes. Key feature for me here is shared MP cockpit - you can do training on-line flight with your friend. Apart from that L-39 can do combat missions and devs already added another variant of it with mounted gun. Yes, this module is expensive, but it is a very close replica of the real life L-39, it comes with 200 pages of detailed manual, fully working on board systems and click-able cockpit. But what is most important - L-39 is a joy to fly and the ability to share the cockpit with friends makes it even better. Highly recommended for serious flight sim enthusiast.

  This is my first full fidelty plane, and I must say it is a joy to fly. The plane itself is amazingly modelled, everything from the cockpit details right down to the small indents where the fuselage is rivited together is highly detailed. Whilest obviously requiring more to learn than the low fidelty planes, the process isn't that bad and is a perfect step up from planes such as the A-10A, F-15C or SU-25T. The L-39 serves its purpose as a light trainer perfectly, and whilest its combat role is more limited than the other planes, she is such a pleasure to fly I can't see myself neglecting her for long periods of time. I haven't tested the multicrew aspect yet, but can't wait to take one of my friends out for a test flight. The only negative I found, was the tutorials... whilest clearly written in English, all of the speach was in Russian. Not a problem for many people but I'm one of those that find reading whilest someone is talking difficult so I ended up watching youtube videos and reading the manual rather than doing the tutorials. For me, 9/10... I would have been a 10/10 apart from the tutorials (for me) were hard to follow.

  This is a very nice aircraft, it's fun to fly! It's a very good trainer for pilots who wants a challenge, but doesn't wanna use a whole week on learning all the systems. It took me only 3 hours to learn. Recomeded (9.5/10)
