  My updated review of the game: Holy damn, this update (0.1.2) has significantly improved the game by a LONG shot. I highly recommend playing this game now. The sound design with mr slenderman should be updated to be a bit less deaf inducing, but its highly playable now.

  I just got done playing it, This game has a lot of potential but i have some criticisms. I'll start with the pros: This game's graphics and models, basic textures for some of the buildings and slender man aside, is very impressive. almost on par with Slender The Arrival, and I feel like you guys have the potential to surpass the official game. You also managed to capture the theme and setting of the original game very well, especially before and after you collect the first page, that calm and peaceful atmosphere being immediately replaced with dead silence with the iconic thumping sound. Also you did a great job with the sound effects, it really captures the environment you're in. The voice acting is fairly impressive, and i love the fact you're building up on the lore from Slender The Arrival, I'm a huge sucker for lore and world building so that's a plus for me. Lastly, a small but nice detail, the fact that the phone is on camera mode and accurately captures the position you're holding it in is awesome. Now, onto the cons: I don't like the flashlight's position, it covers next to nothing, I can't use it effectively. The original and the arrival games has the position of the flashlights right so what happened here? Because of that it's very easy to get lost in the game. Raise it higher and have it go more to the center. Collision detection is very problematic, I keep getting stuck on nothing a lot. Finally, Slender-Man himself, distracting textures aside, his gameplay mechanic is broken. The more pages you collect the more frequently he shows up as normal but near the last 2-3 pages his teleporting is OUT OF CONTROL. It's fucking ridiculous, so much so that my game was lagging BADLY because of how fast and how much he was teleporting, his collision detection is also extremely problematic, I kept getting stuck on him when he was teleporting on me. Near the end of my playthough, I shit you not, his collision detection threw me ACROSS THE MAP. Which was kinda funny admittingly and it helped me beat the game but still. You guys need to tone down his teleporting significantly, especially near the end with the last couple of pages, or else it's gonna end end up with The Arrival's bullshit difficulty. Despite all these drawbacks, I can still recommend this game for it's potential, this is not bad for a indie early access title but you better get started on building it up.

  The flashlight is very wonky and Slendy isn't scary, he is annoying. Also he teleports way to much, so much in fact that it stops me whenever he teleports behind me and it produces a lot of lag. He even throws you like a pupet behind you with no eforts. The game has potential but right now this is not really worth buying but who knows, maybe the game will be better but I dont think that day is near.

  Well then, I never knew a Slender game would be so addictive as this one. The very first Slender game I've played was Slender Haunt with my sister. This game is a lot of fun but indeed scary in terms of jump scares. Before buying, this is what you need to know. 1. Of course, it's a horror game so be aware of that. Otherwise, it's just jump scares. if you've never played a Slender game before, he is a black figure with a white face with no eyes, nose, mouth, nothing. Objective is simple, collect all eight pages and you win but here's the scary part, collecting a page will only increase the chance of encountering Slenderman, he will not stop until you are caught. 2. There are areas that can have a page but correct me if I'm wrong, page locations are unpredictable. When you see Slender, do not look directly at him, otherwise he will run up to you and catch you turning your screen black being game over. 3. Sometimes when you collect a page, your character speaks (a girl) And when you die, sometimes your character screams. There are 3 different map modes, classic (night time) day (map is covered in fog) and darkness (pitch black.) Slender: The Eight Pages REMAKE is a fun game for those that like a nice challenge or simply loving the tense play and adrenaline of it. I highly recommend this game, it's cheap as chips and it's in early access. My wish is that they add the mansion map. I would love to see the remastered version of that map. Updated Review: So, all the maps have been announced in this order in response of a developer... (Developers response) 1) forest 2) prison/hospis/school (the map reveals Kate's madness and how she becomes a slender puppet) 3) Kate's house (2 enemies, new main character) 4) city 5) hunting for Kate On all maps, the enemy is either Slender or possessed by Kate. Perhaps we will add more opponents. Also in June, we will add a new mode to the forest map. (Developers response) They have also updated the Slender model and animations to be far more scarier, and I ran into a building I've never seen before. The new Slenderman gave me such a fright now, far more scary than before, gosh, gave me a heart attack for real xD One last thing I need to mention, on the forest map the landscape has had an update so maybe that building I saw was entirely new, not sure? Anyways, great game but again, the new Slender is really really scary. 5/5 Game Rating: R (Horror, no violence, for now) GENRE: Action, Adventure, Casual, Indie, Early Access RELEASE DATE: 20 Nov, 2020

  It's just the original Slender but worse and full of bugs. Slender is less scary than he was in the original because you can just outrun him. The map is also way too big and has next to no landmarks which makes actually searching for the pages extremely annoying. Don't buy it unless you want to waste your money.

  This game sucks the slender model is so bad, the jump scare isnt even scary and this game isnt even scary at all. This is a waste of money do not buy and if you do refund it

  More irritating than scary; and significantly more challenging than the original. The character's breathing is annoyingly loud and there's a general "cheapness" to the whole experience, so you're obviously better off sticking to the classic. 4/10.
