  I think this is going to be a very good game - in early access but still enjoyable in current state - will keep in library and watch development - if i had one issue with game at moment would be battle dialogue (not a fan of kill a unit and get a comment) save comments for a special kill or turn off taunts in battle option.

  Note as of January 2022 this game is VERY Early Access with very limited content but enough to demo the gameplay. I believe this can be the real Fantasy General 2 when complete and it looks really promising.

  Enjoying the demo! Feels a lot like Fantasy General (the original one) in a good sense. Great potential, nice graphics, some inovative machanisms. KI seems ok so far. Room for a loooot of expansion, improvement, atmosphere and balancing. Give it a try and support the devs if you like medium complexity old-school turn-based strategy games. Expect some game difficulty (i like it), unit positioning matters a lot.

  I like the concept here. It has a tonne of potential to be a really, really fun game. Right now in Early Access the balance is way off. XP takes ages to build and you're almost certainly going to lose most of your units before they even level up once. Cost of research is too high whilst income is too low. But it's not unenjoyable and I can't wait to see what they do with the game.

  * Active devs who listen * Nice artstyle * Interesting turn-based combat * Cool story * Nice progression: troops gain xp, you can research different upgrades for every troop and there are artifacts to find If you like turn-based games where you conquer hex-based maps with a small army, where positioning matters and your tactics as well as overall strategy matter this is so far really solid and gets my recommendation :)

  I love the game and yes, very Fantasy General, it has been sorely needed and look forward a few adjustments to the gold situations to make growth attainable. Great game and I played all the SSI's PG, FG, AG games in the past and this one is sweet on that same path. very nice but they also need to slow down on the natural weather as it is a bit much and not as needed so heavy. Overall a great game with a lot of promise.

  If you're a fan of Fantasy General you'll love this one If you're a fan of turn based strategy you love this one The graphics are lovely, the music is excellent and sets the tone, and the unit synergy encourages you to make you moves carefully. It's a well crafted, thought out experience and surprisingly addictive!

  Lack of Gold Rewards cripples u. I tried to play safe, but even so, after the 1st island I have £500g and none of my upgrades have come through, and even if they did i wouldnt have the money to hire them for the next island. No thanks. Too difficult.

  A decent Fantasy warfare game. Turn based combat similar to fantasy general. You build an army and try to conquer the enemy. Rock, paper, scissors combat in that some units are better versus some units but weaker against others.
