  Another slightly janky but functional low-budget WW2 shooter from City Interactive. Don't go in to this expecting anything amazing or groundbreaking, but if you do like WW2 FPS games then this is another one worth checking out if you just want something short to kill off a couple of hours.   Another so bad it's good game. Operation Thunderstorm is a simple fps game in the long list of budget games from developer City Interactive. It runs on the Jupiter EX engine also known from the FEAR games, meaning the combat is actually fun in this game because the shooting mechanics are similar to that of FEAR. You can finish the game within 2 hours so it's very short. In the guide section you can find an uncensored patch bringing back blood effects and certain symbols used during WWII.

  It's so amusing to see nazi behave and interact exactly like Paxton Fettel's replica soldiers It's a pity slow-mo wasn't included in this game

  Short game, but for like 1.99, i'll take it. The game is jank in several ways and stealth is busted. Even though they give you weapons for stealth at the start of the every level, stealth is not much of an option because you'll shortly be going loud throughout the entire game anyway. The cut-scenes were eh and don't really give you much information other than what you're gonna be doing in that level. The weapons are very little variety and allows you to hold 4 at a time with a 10 max steil-hand grenade. The game has nice level design in layout, but some areas can feel tight with little wiggle room. The game has some nice little details from shooting off panels, from certain electrical boxes, to valves, drawers and other misc props. The levels itself are linear, but they do have some rooms/areas that are closed off/locked off while most are left with nothing to loot, but to look nice. It also does a good job keeping you on track on where you have to go without getting lost. The game has good ambiance in my opinion, it gives a subtle quiet, yet creepy vibes to the level aspect. Especially the first level you start in. Some events in levels are scripted to have enemies spawn after setting explosives or finding items like keys or maybe documents. Weapons - Fists (while holstered) - Sten (given) - Luger (given) - MP40 (commonly dropped from enemies or found throughout level) - Stg (found throughout level, never from enemies) - Panzershreck (found throughout level although there are no actual vehicle type enemies other than the blow up objectives where the game already gives you timed explosives) - knife (given) - Steilhand grenades (found through the levels) - Kar98k (common and only dropped from enemies) - Kar98k (scoped) (can be found while exploring or given from at certain point) The weapons have their uses, the Luger is quite powerful like a one shot kill in most cases, stealth weapons like Sten and knife can one shot kill enemies as long as they aren't alerted of you. Same goes for the Kar98k. Stg is like better version of MP40 in handling and damage, but there are no ammo boxes in the game as you only rely on finding another Stg/weapon on the ground. The gun-play can feel satisfying at times or when there many enemies aware of your presence and you're some assassin dude going room to room one shotting enemies with only a Luger while regenerating wounds like it's cod style game. The enemies have little variety as you'll be facing against, but they do have interactions with the environment like they can seek cover, seek out the player (most cases they stay put), they react to sounds like your flashlight which is practically useless in the entire game. They can push down and kick props to use as cover, use doors, runaway from your thrown grenades (if room is big enough). They don't appear to have any reaction to certain props that can create explosions like the red barrels placed throughout the level. If you kill someone around them, they will call out "we lost someone!" They carry the typical Kar98k and MP40 and never any weapons listed above. Operation Thunderstorm is mostly straight to the point type of game following objectives leading the player room to room eliminating enemies. A game of many others with an old school esque to it, not much on graphics kinda guy, but for someone who grew up playing old games like Medal of Honor or PS2/Xbox Original type of games like Godfather, this was an instant purchase for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through in one sitting. Only buy this on sale, hours put in are not worth at full price and I was like afk to do something for an hour.

  The game lasts 2 hours, it's extremely B-grade, has hideous voice acting, and the game is old. If this were to be rated by IGN even back in 2011 (which I guess is the year it released based on the Steam page), this would've gotten a 4/10. So you must be wondering why the **** anybody would buy this game. Well, I enjoyed what I played for a dollar I paid. Now if you're even looking at this game, and even had a remote interest to even read my review about it, you probably are interested in a WW2 classic COD-like game. And that is exactly what it is: Ultra-budget COD. But look, the gameplay was actually fun, and that's what actually counts. Couple that with the WW2 setting and guns, you might actually end up ignoring all its flaws and simply enjoying it for what it is. Bottomline: Don't spend more than a dollar or two for this game, and you will end up getting your money's worth IF you're a WW2/classic COD fan.

  This game is from 2009... and even in 2009 it wasnt the 3xA game it was like the action B type of game. After Plaing this in 2023, its playable. Max difficulty game me about 2 hours of gameplay. Every enemy can die by 1 or 2 bullets chest up. The game still works. Story is "not good" Weapons feel OK Somehow i got a lot of motion sickness (headbob off) All max settings.(144hz cap) no gameplay problems with high FPS. I had some lvl of fun. Would not recomend to anyone who looking for OG CoD or MoH. Got if for 1.6 Euro played it for 2hrs so yeah. You can try this if you are into any old FPS game. (do not pay more than 2E for this :D) Like 4/10 for B action game from 2009. (if compared to COD 1,2 or MoH AA)
