  Are you reading this to see if you should get this game? Then congratulations! You probably should. This game isn't for everybody, because not everyone would care about a Marble physics simulator, but if you're reading this - You probably enjoy marble runs enough to consider this a fun toy, in which case - this game definitely is! At least... If you're willing to learn the controls for it, which are REALLY not intuitive at first but you get used to them once you learn them (also, the game's still in early access and improving the controls is on the dev's to do list) It's fun just messing around. Building anything from elaborate, decorated, impressive marble sculptures to "hey wonder what'll happen if i stuff 10,000 marbles in a high speed rotating fan." Nonsense. If you're a content creator, it's also relaly fun to make marble races and name your marbles after either your viewers, or silly things, and making a race out of it! The developer's attention to this game is WONDERFUL, there's an update every 1-2 weeks with both bug fixes and new content, and they are INCREDIBLY active and attentive on the discord. This alone should be reason to buy this game full price rather than wait for a sale, if you ask me (assuming that's in your budget). I would say this is the best marble sim on the market right now, and once it gets some of the future planned updates for it like twitch support or logic triggers, it'll be even better and thie things you can make with it will be even wilder. Cons: -Unintutive UI that takes a while to learn but you eventually manage -The graphics are a bit... Loud. Lots of really aggressive colors. Like... REALLY aggressive. -Probably not my favorite game soudntrack but who cares, you can turn it off. Pros: -The physics feel right -Lots and lots of things to play with. High costumizability -Relentless content updates and bug fixes -Workshop support, you can easily grab marble runs off the internet even if youc an't build one. -You can name marbles after friends/followers/enemies/livestock and watch shenanigans ensue as you race them. -Active and loving discord community -Runs well enough on my 5 years old, windows 7 PC for the most part. -There's just something so satisfying about the way marbles clink when they collide with stuff. With enough of them running around it sounds like relaxing white noise. Long story short, if you're nerdy enough to consider getting this in the firstplace (like me), this game is probably for you.

  I find the game very enjoyable, I would recommend the game to anyone who enjoys building tracks for marbles to go through.

  Seeing how I've grown up in the older days of gaming, with all manners of creative gameplay on offer throughout the decades, I'd never have thought that I'd come to so greatly enjoy a marble simulator game of all kinds, with how simplistic a game it can initially appear as mechanically-speaking, yet there is so much more under the hood that bursts with that creative ingenuity only rivalled by the likes of Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet or Mojang's Minecraft among others! But yes, Marble World is, indeed, a game all about simulating the fun to be had with marbles, be they racing or as part of a contraption of sorts, but without all the hassle of having to buy them all and setting it up, plus bending that rule of 'realism' a little to allow insanely-complex or even outright physically-impossible racetracks to further fuel that imagination that some of us could only dream of as children back in the day! With how much is on offer here already, having just been prepared for a full release out of early access, it is quite impressive at how much one can customize here. For starters, the sheer amount of marbles one can create is staggering, with how one can carefully select each skin for a custom marble and precisely pick out exact colours for the marble's patterns as well as how shiny and polished it looks on top of some extra-fancy glow effects and trails for those looking for a more fanciful marble racing experience! Next comes the main section of Marble World itself: The tracks themselves! Seeing how the marble physics in this game are quite accurate to how they would be in real life, from the way they gradually build up speed in a smooth manner on surfaces to those satisfying 'clinks' whenever they hit an obstacle or clash against other marbles, a race track has to be designed in such a manner that makes them able to run through the course naturally through means of gravity! Of course, this is where Marble World specializes in giving you plenty of track options to make your own ideal course for your chosen marbles in, giving you what is currently six unique and diverse worlds as a fancy setting for said course to take place in, whether said marbles interact with any of the furniture or structures of the world itself is down to the creator. With how the recent addition of free-form tracks now giving you even tighter control over how to best make a track for them, be they wholly realistic or fantastical, Marble World gives you the tools needed to make it happen, the only true limitation is one's imagination and creativity. Even with the potential issue of complex controls overwhelming new players to the simulation scene resulting in them either being scared off the game or merely downloading other's fine courses for their own marbles to race on through the Steam Workshop, the game now has tutorials that help to cover all the basic mechanics that you'll need to know in order to get to grips with the game itself! Although it won't serve as a source of inspiration directly, it helps to alleviate a lot of frustration that could've been had if said tutorials were not present like they were before. It also helps that the community surrounding Marble World is quite friendly and welcoming of newcomers compared to most niché gaming communities, since the Discord is active and supportive of one another, which helps considering that it is not so small that it is dead or 'dying', but also not so large that it begins to be crippled by many of the pitfalls of attracting such a huge audience for the big titles of the video game industry, just the right cozy size for a unique game as this one! Overall, in conclusion Marble World is a spectacular simulation game for marble racing enthusiasts and I would highly recommend it for both casual gamers looking for something colourful and fun to mess around with for downloaded tracks as well as the more artistic-minded of players that want to create and share their passionate works for others to enjoy! TLDR Version: • Highly realistic simulation game focused on marble racing (+) • Beautiful visuals and colourful world (+) • Impressive amount of customization for both marbles and tracks, with more to come via DLC (+) • Great and friendly community that isn't too large or small (+) • Excellent medium for living out one's dreams of the most fantastical marble races only previously thought of before (+) • Constant updates and good feedback and discussions between developer and testers (+) • Complex mechanics for creating tracks may be off-putting for some, even with tutorials provided (-) • DLC may prove problematic depending on pricing, with some skeptical of monetizing additions (-) • Game could prove dull and boring after a while if the player's imagination is limited and only wishes to play with other player's tracks, although this may vary from one player to the next (-)
