  This game is your typical survival/base building game with the twist that you are a pioneer in a partly failed mission to build a colony ready to receive people on a mars-type planet. After a short intro where you have to get to the habitat, where the basic structures are placed, you need to accomplish certain assignments to progress, building infrastructure and doing exploration runs to mine resources. The first phase is a time-race as you need to build set of structures in order to survive (O2, water, food), and after the base development phase begins. While in EA, i do not recommend the game at this stage for mainly gameplay reasons. On the positive/ - The game is playable and no bugs have been encountered so far. - Content is adequate for a release in Early Access. Several vehicles, buildings, and upgrades are present. - While the graphics are not astonishing the overall aspect of the terrain is what you could expert from a martian type planet surface, apart from the obviously shaped bridges and tunnels that allows you to pass through mountain ranges. On the negative side: - No pointers are given which makes the first attemps difficult. Pressing needs such as oxygen and water should be better managed in the first phases. - This game is also ergonomically deficient, inventory management is prehistorical (manual transfer of items and a ridiculously low capacity of storage for every container), individual interfaces are neat but it remains tedious to juggle between all of them - Controls are horrible, in particular the vehicles where 90% of the time is spent. Between the inability to reverse when needed, getting stuck in certain places, and the really capricious excavator arm which has the shortest reach possible, this renders the exploration and mining experience frustrating, which is the core of the game. As a conclusion i do not recommend the game at this stage but the content is promising and if some major works are done on the gameplay aspects (this should really be sorted out before making any new content) then this game can be a good one.

  Really enjoying the game. It starts out rough, but if you are patient and learn the ropes, it is very fun. I like the style of the buildings and vehicles. I like the ease of getting resources without the grind. Definitely a diamond in the rough. I see it as a game with a lot of potential.

  Starting to love it more every time I play, just got a huge update, and i'm pumped to see what the devs have fixed. For now ill say this tho, If you love to Mine stuff, explore a huge map, fix problems, not be bugged by other players or mutant aliens, and build/craft using mined and found resources... You will love this game, yeah it needs work and takes some getting the hang of, but refer to the community blog and continue on as i have and the game doesn't disappoint...

  If Hardcore mode where when you die you loose everything is your type of game, If you love random crashes and absolutly no Explantion as to how anything works, this game is for you. However, if you like tutorials that explain in detail how to play, The ability to load a save from before you died, or simply to be able to respawn in your base without all your work gone, this game is not for you. As the game is now, it's an interesting idea, however, there is no mode other than hardcore, so If you die due to a mistake on your part or a bug/glitch, you loose everything and there is no way to load a Previous save. There is very little in the way of explanation as to how anything is done, I had to go to the forums to find out the basics of how to survive. Exiting the game makes you loose all the progress on your current mission and any collected resources are lost. It is my hope that they will improve the game over time, but as It is now, I play for fun and having level up all over again and rebuild everything from the start each time I die is not fun to me, so, unless that is how you like to play, I do not suggest buying this game until it improves.

  *** The game is in a revised state, Many things have changed for the better - that make this review obsolete, I would hold off till the games completed.. *** The game definitely has a good amount of potential, The map is Massive " Think fallout 4 size " so exploration will be fun. When you start the game - hard difficulty is the only option and Perma Death is probably what that choice means... Because the game it's self isn't that hard to figure out. - bad news first.. Currently the game only crashes when using the refineries, it's a game killer when it happens during the learning phase because it's an integral part of the game play, If your a die-hard you can work with it and control when the game will crash by refining meterials only after gathering all the needed supplies first and staying at base during the process.. Next will be building maintenance, A none issue with a basic base of 8 to 10 structures - 3 solar panels, Hab, Storage depot, Refinery, 02 Generator, Vehicle Hub, Water and food. As your base grows, the problem isn't the structures degrade over time and at different rates, but that as your base grows so does the distance you have to travel to find resources - because you have depleated ones that are close in. So you literally get one resorce run and have to fix your entire base each time you go out in fear of total destruction. These will absolutely be addressed in a future patch I'm sure, But It's funny because building maintance and not the game crashes caused me to stop progressing, so I had to quit playing. I visited a lot of locations and due to the map size I think the Devs bit off more than they can chew, you can see thay are having a hard time coming up with discrete assets for all the separate areas, The rest of the game & bugs are not even worth mentioning, So I'll end the bad news here as they will get addressed at some point. - The good News.. There is a ton of stuff to do in the game even at this point and you can see the Dev's have bigger plans for the future. As an example you can craft items that have no in game value yet, Such as a detonator box without explosives - you can see caved in mines in mountains sides while driving around and there is a tech tree to enhance your suit for exploration outside your vehicle - Hmm..! Exploration a plenty - As stated in the Intro... You start in an uninhabited area, But that just the current status..! I smell some extra depth and a bit of back story in the works. Depending on how far they intend to take this.. In the building and mission cue you build housing, dining and working areas for colonists and landing pad for trade and there is an empty research bar along with a usable but inaccessible computer station that at some point will have a purpose, your guess is as good as mine but more content for sure. Large heavy duty mining and extraction equipment thats usable now but not really useful in this build, will be really helpful gathering needed resources down the road - their fun to drive around and play with for now. The huge well thought out " some cut and past assets if your paying attention but not so much that its easily noticed " landscape is diverse with natrural anomolys to block your progression to areas your not ready for, Its so large and complex that it takes many real hours just to get the landmarks down to a tee... when you leave this area you can easily get lost - kinda like when you move to a new area in real life. Day and night have weather effects... They change a bit quick but are also done well, One morning it's foggy the next it's clear visibility for miles, with some night almost pitch black to moon light, They got this down pretty good. Lighting and shadows are smooth. Grinding is grinding no matter the game... Go here get this and go back, but they hide it well because its spaced out with other things to do - you dont have to upgrade that building right this second, take a break and dare to go to an area your not quite ready for... There are legal ways to beat or go around the system such as bringing too many repair and health kits with you so you can charge through that barrior thats a few levels above you. Just copy your save befor you try just in-case.. I have 130 hrs in and barely covered a third of the map. I feel I got my money out of the game entertainment wise already, so yes I recommend it, but not for the casual gamer until thay fix the crashes and building maintenance. They are definitely pushing the limits of the this older unreal game engine to it's max.

  Let me get rather quickly to the point. The game in itself is very promising. The ideas are all in. Great atmosphere. All seems good. But......oh yes..... Very soon you'll discover that this game is way too buggy, frustrating. Now what are the answers from the DEV's: 1. New coding: Since september we're getting informed that some kind of a new coding which is SOON to come. No I don't want to get sarcastic.........but getting this usual bla bla comment for MONTHS now....not very convincing 2. Way more important: Absolutely or nearly NO regular updates from the TEAM (well there seems to be only 1 person behind this communication guy....don't know what to think about this....). You're getting no updates of ongoing improvements, no state about current development....only this standard comment: We're working on the coding!!!! Wow ! Impressed !!! Now if you intend to buy this: My advice is very clear: STAY OFF OF THIS until they get their new CODING in place (well when...no idea...they're talking already since Months about this so called migration to a new CODING ). I'm willing to get back to this review and post new updates accordingly...well....we'll see. For the moment....I'll take a break of at least 3 months before checking any updates of any kinds. Never saw such a lazy DEV team. And you want to show the abilities of JCB machinery.....hope these work better in real life..... Cheers.

  The game is dead, developer has stopped working on this game, can steam team please investigate this as you are trying to sell a game that has no support, I have warned you several times but it seems to me you ppl are only after the money!
