  What do I say about this game? I don't even know. Hell i'm having difficulty trying to figure out whether it should be a thumbs up or a thumbs down. So I guess I'll give it a thumbs up just because I'm not returning it. Look the game has 3 strong points and 3 weak points: Strong Points -The Price is awesome, maybe a bit underpriced for everything you're getting here. -The games mechanics and overall gameplay are on point. Everything works well, feels appropriate and really helps to immerse yourself into a blacksmithing role. -The creativity and the attention to detail. You can tell the developers worked really hard on some parts of this game. But then it has its very weak points: -The game is buggy and glitchy as hell. I got stuck several times, clipped through things, suffered framerate drops etc. -The games graphics are sub-par and its sound design and quality is downright aweful. It's almost painful to listen to this game. (Music was more or less nice though) -That tutorial is awful. How the heck am I supposed to learn how to play this game when the damn tutorial barely teaches me anything. Luckily over some time I was able to figure it out and move forward but it was no less infuriating. So overall i'm not sure.   Wwll, it's fun, kinda. Let's explain a bit, I've been wanting this game for a LONG time it's been on my #1 wishlist for ages, however it isn't what I was expecting. Don't take this game seriously for real blacksmithing. I have done real blacksmithing for a few years and its not even close to what this game represents. It's a game, that has a story and some fun quests. That's it. Don't look for next gen anything. It's a relaxing take a break from reality fr a bit type game. I hope they add mod support because it will go next leevl if they do.

  Im honestly so unsure what to say about this.. i liked the concept and some parts are good but the controls are not accurate and the game is buggy as hell.. i got stuck many times and the tutorial was really bad.. i spend 10 mins trying to work out what to do, your honestly better off just going into the game itself.. you can tell the devs worked hard on this game but there are so many things that need work. i also feel really sick after playing this because the game is laggy and the motion blur is pretty intense to say the least and with no option to turn it off i actually had to exit the game and close my eyes for a bit because of the headache i now have.. sorry devs! i wish it was a better review but i just cant do that right now..

  okay so wow, i was very hyped for this game thinking it was a rough gem in its demo state however the game is still more like a lump of coal that has yet to do anything but dirty my hands. sadly its not fun, the tedious task of heating forging has made the crafting overshadowed by the dullness, the unfun mini games of hammering to the god awful pouring into the mold, all of which was very buggy, i had finally lost my patience when i tryed to pour a second time after realizing the molten ore lacked gravity only to have to pour the cauldron over the ground as the game didn't allow me to place the mold. also i have a question about the mining, why? in a black smithing game am i faced with the task of also being the coal and ore miner? i never understood this, I am supposed to be a smith and a smith i want to be. i sadly am not happy with the product, the adding of story was unneeded in atleast my eyes, the direction need to be focused more so on the crafting its self, to a small degree i believe a more sandboxy environment could better this game. message to the developer them self or team. "I would love to ask more questions for why and what happened. Im sorry if you felt this is unfair of a review but i have spoken honestly."

  Game is not finished. Very buggy and not a lot of direction given as to what to do. When directions are given they are all over the place. Sounded like a fun concept and the videos looked great but not well done at all. Stay away until it is finished.

  I have waited a long time for this game. At it's current state I wish Steam had a "neutral" button. It's not bad by any means, but it is a mixed bag. As many others have stated, the tutorial is not the best, but with a bit of thinking you can figure out the mechanics pretty easy. Many have complained about the controls, but I think they are fine. The graphics are okay, the music is nice, but there are only some sound effects which doesn't help the immersion. The smithing itself is kinda simple, and you will be doing the same thing over and over, at least in the beginning. Want a sword? Doesn't matter if big, medium or small, you will be doing the same steps. Haven't really gotten to armor crafting, magic items and so on, so I am looking forward to that. My biggest complaint may be, that there is very little actual interaction or gameplay. The minigames are braindead simple, and all you have to do is just "click at the right time" or "hold the cursor within a set range". Soemtimes not even that, you just click, and thing fall into palce automatically (Like during assembly). I would have loved something more interactive, or in depth. Still, for less then 5 euros, it's a nice little chill game. Hopefully more stuff and mechanics wil lbe added later, I will be looking forward to it. All in all about a 6/10 for now.

  What a let down. DO NOT BUY THIS. I have reported this title twice already. After many years of release dates and pulling less then a day before many times over......they finally released a prologue 2yrs ago. 2yrs later they come out of the blue and release this under a guise that it had been developed since then. It wasn't. This was abandoned after the prologue and they just tried to cash out on the project. The game is a mess and clearly unfinished.They already admitted on discord that its abandoned and won't be fixed. Pretty sure this isn't legal.

  You can tell when a game has received a level of love and care in its development. ...I cannot tell that with this one. This game taught me how bundles are used (IMO) by publishers to offload and make what money they can on a game they must already know is/will be a poor seller. (Click on the Developer link and look at the games list, you'll see what I mean) Though the 1 game of my 2-game bundle is played for under 2 hours, there is no option to return the 1 game and refund the amount it would have cost me to buy the other game, individually. I admit, however - bad research on my part, prior to buying the game. Thankfully it is at least low-priced. The point is, however, the game is no longer considered "Early Release", yet it obviously has an inordinate amount of issues that still need addressing. The whole thing is just very cheesy, especially the dialog, and has kind of simplistic mini-game elements that take all feeling (i.e. "simulation") of actual smithing out of it. After going through the tutorial, and playing a little bit, I can already tell this is going to be more grinding (which is usually okay with me - I have other simulators that use the grinding approach) but in the end, this one simply has _no satisfaction_ after doing the grinding! So, there's little motivation to even go back in and see if I can get something out of the gameplay. And I'm a usually a completionist type of player for these things! Mainly, in the end, it's just disappointing / sad for me. :( I was looking forward to it, because I love the whole blacksmithing skillset and how a lump of metal can be turned into something refined and amazing (Forged in Fire!). I just wish they could turn this lump of a game into something refined, too. For now, I'll just chalk this one up to the first game I've ever given a thumbs down on, keep the title because I don't want to go through the refund/re-buy hassle (assuming I can even do that) for the other game in the bundle, and fire it up occasionally to see if they've improved anything, or if I'm feeling really bored or masochistic.

  I really want to love this game but I can't. I have gotten to the executioner quest 3 times now and each time it kills my game (locks up) and I have to alt-f4 out. At that point, all my saves are corrupted and the game goes to 1 FPS. Cons: #1 - Save/Load doesn't work well - you will lose any quests you have grabbed except the story line #2 - Badly placed hammer targets - some of the areas you are supposed to hit to work the blade you have to "hunt" for - hitting the marked area doesn't work -- or there is no marked area #3 - No increase in price for adding decorations to the blades. If you add an item to the weapon you are just wasting money. Adding a 100 gold gem to a sword results only in being paid for the sword itself (50 gold) #4 - Limited to no voice acting #5 - Missing transition between the prologue and the main game.. i.e. your father told you to stay home and as soon as you finish the work he asked you to do, the next step for some reason is to get into a wagon and leave - no explanation or anything. #6 - Missing graphics for Copper - not all the swords/items are modeled in copper, so you end up getting the exact same item as if you used iron #7 - You can create 2 different types of armor -- per the selection; but both are identical #8 - Mining - it's clunky and takes too much time for what you get. I am not opposed to a time sync being built into a game; but there are better ways to do it than this mechanic. #9 - Dialog Choices - on many of the quests when you turn them in, you have the option to say the phrase that the quest giver is saying to you???? umm why would I want to tell the guy I just made a sword for, thanks for the sword, here is your money??? #10 - Cut Scenes - pretty plain Jane. I usually don't complain about graphics in games - I look to the content and enjoyment; but the cut scenes just don't fit at all. #11 - Sounds -- where are the sounds? No hammer hits, no liquid metal pouring, no pick hitting rock, no hiss as you put a red hot blade into the water to temper it/cool it; no fire/burning sounds from the forge, no scraping sound on the grindstone, etc. #12 - Mini-games are clunky at best #13 - Where is the open world format? I was hoping based on the description to be able to actually open a shop - not just go around doing quests. #14 - This is NOT a finished title - it needs to be renamed to Early Access #15 - Missing Devs - I don't see any comments from them on the discussion board. Would be nice if they actually gave some updates and let us know what is going on. Pros: #1 - Awesome concept - I have been waiting for this #2 - Decent music track - didn't get tired of it in my 30 hours #3 - Decent story line - I get what's happening and it feels like you are contributing somewhat #4 - Smithing isn't difficult in the game - they simplified the process down to something anyone can do (it's almost too simple) #5 - Mini-games are easy to beat -- no huge frustration here even if they are clunky #6 - Cheap - $6 Overall I enjoyed the game; but I would not recommend this title for now -- you are getting what you pay for, and I would not be surprised to see this game go completely dead soon if the devs don't come back and keep working
