  I saw a lot of people saying this game was stardew valley mixed with horror, but it is more like stardew valley mixed with the anime "The promised neverland." so if you watched that show and thought you would like to play the show then this is for you. the game is kinda buggy and it has no autosave so save often. this is the first horror game I've ever played, I spent hours trying to find everything but still couldn't 100% it. It isn't a jumpscare horror its more like a suspense thriller horror. I was so invested in it and it was great... up until the end which kind of felt like a smack in the face and left me kinda sad and disappointed. It's even sadder that there are no alternate endings. It's probably because the indie dev didn't have the budget but I really hope he updates it with a new ending. He is making a prequel right now, but i really hope there is a sequel soon that fleshes out the ending in a more satisfying way. Even if it is just a super short DLC.

  I feel like I've only scratched the surface of this game, and I am so in love with it. It's so enchanting and addictive, I already highly recommend this spoopy, yet comforting experience! Perfect Purchase for the Halloween Season!

  Such a cute game! I love the art so much and the story is very mysterious. I got to the start of the spooky stuff I believe and I am already making theories as to what is truly happening on the island. This game is great if you love farming/gathering sims, don't mind a slow pace, and casual horror.

  If you're looking for a chill exploration, gathering and crafting game with added horror and mystery then this is the perfect game to fit that vibe. Which yeh is a fairly uncommon vibe so I can see why a lot of people are surprised it isn't more horror heavy. And what horror and mystery is there is very engaging imo, but you probably still will be playing most of the game feeling more relaxed than scared, which I do think really adds a lot to the whole experience of the game but if that's not what you're expecting or not what you like then yeh it's gonna probably feel weird. However I do think that the game executes on its premise perfectly. Really my biggest complaint is that although the game was longer than I originally expected I still wish there was more and I'm sad I've reached the ending. In terms of gameplay there's a lot of areas where it is well polished and also a few areas where it isn't, the most likely issue someone may have is with the grindy nature of it, but that is something the dev has been trying to resolve and is a hard thing to figure out how to balance even for games with bigger teams. One of the best advantages this has though is that because it's a horror game the grinding can often feel more like building tension rather than just boring like other games, also getting the Blessings from the statues really helps cut down the difficulty of grinding. There's also a difficult mix of parts which are left for the player to figure out, personally I found it rewarding when I figured out what to do and often there's enough of a hint or a desire to explore that you can and will figure out what to do eventually, but I can still see how some people could become annoyed at the lack of clear direction, I know I would with some other games, but at least for me I wasn't actually bothered by it in this game and I think a fair amount of that is because the game does teach you how to explore and find stuff fairly early on, so later when it leaves you to explore and figure out stuff for yourself you still have a pretty good general idea of how to do that. There's a lot of other praise I could heap on the game (along with a few more critiques most of which didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the game but are still areas that could be improved), but more of that would probably veer into spoiler territory.

  I'm really enjoying the game so far and would recommend playing if you enjoy farming sims and pixel horror. Here are my key points: - The farming aspect is pretty basic but it's still fun. - The game has a lot of dialogue/story and gathering. - Lots of upgrades and crafting. - Cute animals that you can interact with, - I would recommend using a controller as opposed to a mouse and keyboard. I couldn't get it to work at first but that's because I was starting to use the controller in the middle of the game. You have to start pressing buttons while the game is just starting to launch in order to activate the controller mode (at least this is what I experienced). - Achievements would be nice. - There is animal death so if that upsets you I wouldn't recommend playing this.

  The game is immensely charming and I love the writing. There is an intriguing mystery to the game, but it is the characters that make it so hard to put down. I have some complaints though - the interface is downright painful and allergic to me using the mouse. Nevertheless, you get used to it and get better at navigating it.

  I finished the game in about 11 hours on story mode. Normal mode is a bit slower with more emphasis on the farming and foraging aspects. It's a cute little game that combines farming, resource gathering, mystery, and a bit of horror. I had a good time so I recommend this game. Pros: - engaging mystery and story - exploration is rewarding - characters are well written - I liked the energy mechanics and the blessing/god offering mechanics - music is very effective for what it wants to convey - character designs and art are beautiful - world building that makes you want to learn more Cons: - vague directions at times (got lost a few times on what I was supposed to do or look for) - abrupt ending (personal opinion) - key items are hard to find in the first half of the game, in the latter half, the key items are highlighted. I wish they did that for the beginning portions as well. - because of the interesting story, I feel like there was lost potential in exploring one of the characters - Some parts of the game are a bit too dark for me, combined with the lack of highlighting key items, it made it difficult to find things sometimes - There is a pretty maze-like part of the game near the end. I think the dev wanted players to use this maze to get around, but the environment of that maze was too similar, there was no map, and no standout landmarks that could help distinguish parts of that maze. I rarely used those (maybe) shortcuts, but on the plus side, there are alternatives to using that maze to get around Overall, the story and characters were the main sell for me. The gameplay and visuals could use some improvements, but I was able to put up with the nitpicks to learn more of the story. I'd recommend this game to players who like experiencing an engaging story with compelling characters.

  2 1/2 hours in: Loving the story so far and looking forward to whats going to happen. Cons: Inventory space. Havent figured out how to craft stashes yet. I hope its possible. Rucksack gets full quicklyand the stash at home doesnt provide too much space either.

  EDIT** Didn’t want to change my review but the game gets progressively worse. How am I 12 hours in and no horror? Game keeps crashing .. Pros •fun, interesting story •lots to do • portrait art is beautiful •will be entertaining Cons •UI is terrible • sound track (??) is seriously lacking •sound effects for some animals are 🫣 •not much is explained or when explained explained vaguely, you will be scratching your head trying to figure out what to do next •no autosave feature, you have to manually save •manually saving takes a lot of time .. and will sometimes crash the game •Game stutters a lot •rpg maker sprites are so bad and some things looked super stretched out and out place (cows vs chickens what’s going on with the sizing there?) •$25 is steep especially when compared to its competitors this game is seriously lacking

  This game is amazing! I have been hooked for 9 hours straight and Im only stopping now to write this review because I have to make dinner. The story has me hooked and the characters are charming. There is a sense of nostalgia that lingers throughout the dialogue.. and there's a sense of dread that lingers throughout the game. I find myself genuinely concerned for the safety of myself and my loved ones in this game. Well anyways, if youre into farming sims or life sims, but aren't afraid to bend the genre towards horror than I strongly recommend this game!
