  *** UPDATE RE-REVIEW AFTER GAME LEFT EARLY ACCESS.. FEB 23, 2020 *** It's been a year and a half since this game launched in early access and got my initial negative M.I.S.S. #20 review. Since then, the developer made the base game "free to play" with a $4.99 DLC to open up the global map. The question is... Is it any better now? I give you my thoughts and feedback on this game in this update review video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL4QqZ9PxjQ Conclusion: The gameplay is actually worse in my opinion as the base defense has turned into a mindless mouse clicker, ugh. Still, I give the developer credit for at least opening up his basic gameplay for free. RED FLAGS !! .. 19 positive reviews giving this mindless game a 100% positive rating just three days after it launched here on Steam! ...And when you see or play this game, seeing those positive reviews giving this game an 11 out of 10 and comparing it to old school Quake, the red flags SHOULD be going off like crazy! ...Could this be yet another low effort asset reliant developer either using alt Steam accounts to praise his own game and/or *gulp* buying positive reviews? Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions here and this may not be the case at all, but after playing this game, I am truly baffled at how so many people *love" this snorefest lazily developed game so much! ...Things that make you go Hmmmmm!   I enjoyed the free roam option. Controls could be a bit better, but it was cool to fly around my home town, blowing up aliens ships. Game did crash a couople of times, when fluying over open water, but other than that fairly stable. Would be really nice to have a compass, as it is easy to get turned around, especially when moving over lesser populated areas. Was worth the price just for being able to play in the real world.

  DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS "GAME" The game is bad in what it tries to be, a map renderer. You will have a much better time and 4€ more in your pocket if you go and fly around in google maps.. The "Gameplay" is less immersive than in Space Impact on a 20 year old Nokia phone. The potential for a good, interesting game is there but it will definitely not be unlocked from the hands of this developer, if he keeps on putting the same effort as he has so far. What this game needs is a 30x buff on texture detail, 100x more textures, 1st person mode, more interesting shooter gameplay. These are just a few but difficult requirements, which I imagine are next to impossible to achieve with the current hardware available. DO NOT BUY THE DLC. IT'S NOT WORTH A CENT. Go to Google Maps or Google Earth for more detailed view of your desired spot of the planet.

  This game takes data from OpenStreetMaps and allows you to play in any city in the world. It has few textures, so most buildings look the same, so the maps obviously don't really look like the city they are supposedly portraying. Let's hope the MOD support will allow modders to make their own textures or models, that would made this a really cool game. Gameplay needs a bunch of tweaking, more enemy sprites and maybe a couple of different ships to fly. But in general it's an Ok shooter. I enjoyed the free roam option. The game will be ported to Linux in the future, according to the dev, but it runs fine on Proton, so you can try it right away if you are a Linux user like me.

  Great idea and cool implementation! Flied for 20 minutes over my home area, then moved from there to my countryhouse. Flashbacks! The places are very recognizable, despite the textures not always correct. Then remembered there is also a simple game included, which is, suprisingly, rather nice. The game/instrument potential is very promising - exporting models could be a great opportunity for other games/modes. Please add the support for the pedestrian-like view, I'd like to walk slowly looking at the known places from a known perspective in-game :)
