  This is the type of game that Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator SHOULD have been. While still quite unpolished, and lacking content, it is already better in how it handles massive amounts of troops. My computer presented it's request to be allowed to die, after some 30 000 troops were placed on field in UEBS, this can handle that much with ease, and much, much more. The way this game handles more troops, is putting them together in formations, instead of having each troops as an individual. Imagine a watered down Total war game, that is on steroids considering troop numbers. Each faction has a similar selection of troops, a light melee troop, melee troop with an 1 handed weapon and a shield, a heavy troop with a 2 handed weapon, a spearman and a bowman. Pretty basic for a theme like this, could use some expansion with more troop types. Controlling characters is much better aswell, while still quite clunky. I am sure this is going to improve in later development. As of now, there is no way to control troop formations in other ways than pre battle placement, which i understand, is going to change later, as this is an early access product after all. I may only have played it briefly so far, but i am expecting to multiply that time a lot after the game gets more polished, with more content and mod support implemented. The implication that mod support is coming is pretty clear, considering that the main menu has a "workshop" section, which is yet greyed out, Overall, i would suggest buying this, if not other, to support the developer and help him make the game better over time. I am looking forth to this game's future, hopeful that it might just be one of the better RTS games out there, one day...

  It's fun, but I don't like how some units will just stay put if there are no enemies to attack within their range, especially the ones all the way in the back. Have the back units go around the enemy army and attack or, just have them do something instead of standing. Like I'd love to see armies actually clashing into each other and trying to charge through instead of just attacking what's in front of them in a straight line. And if there are cavalry units, PLEASE HAVE THEM CHARGE THROUGH ARMIES LIKE THE ROHIRRIM IN LOTR. I hate how cavalry units in games like UEBS just stay put and attack instead of trampling through enemies! Having cavalry units run through armies would really make this game fun!

  Very good game for it being in its early stages, im a big fan of the developers adding so much depth to character models and AI you can tell it took a lot of work, I also love that units can parry, light attack, heavy attack, and combo enemies which really adds to the variety of the game, I find it interesting how the developers made it so big armies split into groups of units that make their own decisions on where to go and if they want to flank or not which i like, Although i feel this game is great it also has some things missing that would be nice additions including possible formations, a cooler looking charge, and more depth in the battlefield. Most army simulators dont have these things implemented like total war, UEBS 1 not 2, etc. But i feel as if this game can develop those things over a long period of time. It would be cool to see armies run into each other at full speed with custom animations like pushing other units from the enemy team back etc, it would also be nice to see some shield units be able to make some formations on the ground like a sheild wall(optional). Battles also take very long because units only fight in a straight line but if they were coded to attack enemies behind the front line the armies would merge making battles go by faster and look better. It would also be nice if you could control specific units to do what you tell them. Overall a very good game though for where its at PROS: >Very fun to play >Lots of animations >Good graphics and good unit models >Being able to possess a unit >a good state for being a early game CONS: >Not much strategy >Repetitive >Not many units to choose from(temporary) >no charge animations for armies >all tribes or armies have similiar units and arent super unique >only 3 maps(temporary) >Runs on CPU instead of GPU which causes some lag for high end PC's

  you def need a higher grade cpu and mid grade gpu to run, but da game is hella fun. cant wait for the workshop stuff, should add the spice this game is missing
