  it's a good, if oberpriced mecha-game combat is frantic, tight and offers you lots of options the inclusion of not just weapons but sorta "special" abilities in the form of femto (a ressource similiar to mana in rpgs) skills and the quick control-scheme adaptation between ground and inflight combat works great. special abilities from short term buffs to your speed, damage output or a shield to creating a long term copy of your mech. the customization is good. could it be better? for sure. but it's alright. body, head, legs, arms, 2 active weapon slots, 2 passive weapon slots (pylons) a shoulder weapon and an auxilery tool offers lots options. snipers, bazookas, swords'n shields, mgs to assault rifles and pump guns aswell as shoulder mounted homing missle launchers (a stable of the genre) there's lots to buy, develope and find. there's been quite some effort put into this aspect of the game: your mech comes with a wide range of stats. defensive stats against different damage types, different boost speed for air and ground, even the size of your passive missle lock/auto-targeting lock and the speed of said targeting....bullet speed, impact radius there's a lot of stats and once you get the ins and outs of the game you realize that they work and realy do make a difference (creating a long range sniper, missle boat works just as good as creating a close combat shotgun/sword mech). it's rock solid, looks okay (looked great for the Switch), the soundtrack is great, the soundeffects could use more "oomph" (like Mechwarrior 5's). there's a mainplot to follow, and you can do side-mission to your leisure (to grind money or parts). what is not so great are both the plot and the characters. the presentation leaves a lot to be desired, the writing is horrific, the characters pretty annoyin and the premise of beeing a mercenary in a world of PMCs never works when looking at it's very anime-esque presentation. (and let's not talk about mission on foot, outside of your arsenal, thankfully you can ignore most of em...but dear lord are they bad). if you can live with a subpar story, but a great feeling mecha-game which looks a tad in the customization aspect this game is great; should be cheaper though looking at what is offered here.

  fun game reminds me a bit of AC and XG but still very different from them , the story is ok, the gameplay gets better as you get more gear. its a nice scratch for anyone that needs a AC itch to go away til AC6 comes out.
