  Forced to buy, to be able to play op1-8 again, which I was able before this DLC was released. They pretty much took away something you've already bought to then make you rebuy it.

  Was never going to get this dlc initially, since it was once free, but after finding out it breaks digistruct peak and the OP levels unless you have BOTH this stupid dlc AND the Ultimate Vault Hunter pack 2, I had no choice but to get it to continue playing the fucking game.

  Nice DLC, should be free like it used to be, definitely not worth 15$, hope they use this money for hiring a better story writer for future Borderlands Game or DLC.

  Do NOT purchase this DLC. It is NOT worth $15. This was a free pre-launch DLC for Borderlands 3, set in the Borderlands 2 game. It was given away FOR FREE to anyone who owned Borderlands 2 at that time, and the gameplay reflects that fact. This is a small, mediocre addition to the game that was mostly created to inflate the level cap and hopefully drive the sales of Borderlands 3 up, nothing more. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DLC FOR $15. It is a low-effort free DLC that Gearbox is now using as a money grab hoping some poor suckers out there don't know any better and will purchase it. I was one of those suckers. Don't be me. Don't waste your money and time on this garbage pile.

  Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is the final DLC for Borderlands 2, and released surprisingly long after the initial release of the game. The reason behind this is because it acts as a prelude to Borderlands 3, released later in the same year, 2019. In this DLC, their city of Sanctuary is attacked by Col. Hector, with a gas that mutates people to half-plant creatures. Timeline-wise, it seems to take place some time after the events of the main game and the DLCs, due to the release date and the reference to some events in other games like Tales of the Borderlands. Content-wise, its along the same length of the average BL2 DLC, with story missions and some sidequests. Despite the plenty negative reviews, from a gameplay perspective its not that bad, but its not that amazing as well. You get extra story content, new overgrown environments, references and characters from the Telltale game, cool rainbow weapons and skins, etc. Another highlight is that now you can instantly create a level 30 new character. If you played BL2 long ago before its release or purchase, playing this DLC might give that sweet nostalgia feel. The problem I and most people have is about how this game is sold; it's more expensive than the base game, around twice, both in and out of sale. It used to be free, for like a month around its release date. For those of us who don't like Borderlands yet during June-July 2019? You'll have to pay quite a lot for it. It rarely goes on sale as well, and even then the highest sale price is only 67%. It's not sold on any bundle as well. I finally relented and purchased this DLC, 3 and a half years after my initial BL2 playthrough. In short, the average amount of content combined with the expensive price which used to be free, a poor marketing decision, impacts a lot on how people view this DLC. Is Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary a worthy purchase? Honestly, it depends on you. If you're a late Borderlands fan, a completionist for story content, and achievement hunter, then yes it is worth a purchase. If you're not that really into the franchise, then you probably shouldn't bother. If you already own it because you claimed it in 2019? Then play it. Honestly I'd give this DLC a mixed review, its pretty great for the game content, but a very poor selling choice. I'm going to say it once again, what many others have stated: it should have stayed free. Or at least, a 80-90% discount.
