  This is a great little surprise. I rarely ever buy games on release, especially not from devs i have not heard of before, but I've been on a retro shooter & hack and slash recently, and this seemed to fall into that category. Its a rogue-like FPS/Hack and Slash with fun melee combat and kicking. Ranged seems a little OP so far. I haven't encountered any bugs so far, and it seems to run smoothly. The art is really good and the animations are smooth. I didn't think i would be a fan of the ever-reducing HP mechanic, but you heal by killing, and its a pretty linear path to blast through. You also get a super power that allows you to turn into an animal or monster and unleash powerful attacks. Its really fun and definitely worth the price i paid for it. If you liked Dusk/Elderborn/Project Warlock/Classic Doom you should have fun with this.

  Only done 2 runs so far, and played a little of the demo, but it's excellent. Super fun, fast paced, although a little easy: first two runs both ended in zone 6/7, and already lvl 12. Definite recommend, especially for the price

  I like Berserk Mode. I like Berserk Mode a lot. 😊 I recorded my progress. Please watch if you value an Audio / Visual presentation on the glories of Berserk Mode. I know I do! https://youtu.be/ir5rRzNpR_Y Visually, Berserk Mode Looks good, reminds me a bit of Into The Pit, but rocking a gritty, retro 3d pixel aesthetic, with more of a visceral and kinetic melee + gibs focus, and less laser light show. Less Pew-Pew, more Smash and Boom! ✊

  The Mighty Boot Is Back Baby!

  And I LOVE IT! Literally kick the 💩 out of your enemies! YES! Kick em back, and blow em up! Good Stuff! 🦶 💥 The Duke would be proud. 👍 As would the Dark Messiah. 😈 Note: The kick seems to only have a 1 second cooldown, and is not tied to the stamina system, so kick away! Berserk Mode is an Indie FPS Action RogueLike all about Smashing, Kicking and Blasting your Way through a Monster filled Dungeon born of Procedural Generation! Berserk Mode is all about the Hack and Slash Retro style carnage, displayed in an old school, hand drawn pixel graphics style that is bloody good!

  No Ammo, No Mana, Just Mad Muscles and Rage!

  There is no mana bar or any major limit to the use of your regular abilities, just like Into The Pit, so no ammo hunting here! Just Stamina management and good old monster hunting! You have a super mega jump in addition to your quick, stamina fueled Dash / Dodge, letting you bunny hop around for the massive speed boost and survivability; it is an old fps tactic for a reason. Someone knows the old ways, and how to apply pressure where it is needed! 👍 Remember: The stamina system fuels all your attacks, so no stamina, no weapon use! But you can still Kick, so always Kick! Both of your weapons use that shared resource, stamina, so it can be a bit of a learning curve to balance firing off your automatic crossbow, then remembering to keep enough in the tank for a sword wack or two, but even if you can’t, you can still kick em though! Always remember to kick the 🍑! And armor is degraded each hit, doom style, so armor up to cushion your hp. This buffer is especially important for a pure melee build, as you will take damage clearing the gap to the ranged monsters and nasty boomers. Also, Head shots seem to do more damage, so aim for da head!

  Keep Killing! The Red Must Flow!

  In Berserk Mode, you have the honor of unleashing a driven fury, a great anger made flesh, of driving around a mad berserker literally fueled by their rage, as their rage is their HP, and you must keep killing til it is done! Your only limit is time, and you’re slowly declining HP and fading bloodlust, as your being slowly bled out and Driven Forward by the Curse of the Dungeon, I like it! It keeps the player moving forward, and the focus on the super fast and mobile combat. And each kill you make grants you more life and time, revitalizing your berserker, and driving them towards victory! The curse will not kill you, but will drop you to Death’s Door at 1hp, giving you the chance to regain your hp and berserker bloodlust.

  Monster Play and Transformations!

  And I like the focus on monster play and transformations, with the Werebear, Mantacore, and double snake Hydra fists, making the player feel powerful when their character get super pumped up and super pissed! After your bloodlust builds enough, you can transform into a mythic monster to take the rip and tear to a Whole New Lvl! Oh ya! You can even shape your berserker as you tear through the Labyrinth, choosing upgrades between lvls to shape your desired flavor of carnage, and have the rip and tear your way! So Transform into an even scarier meat monster when your character get super pumped up and super pissed! Rip and Tear with the Mega ripped Bear! Go Double Snake Fists with the Hydra and Burn your foes down! Or go full on Mantacore Monster, and freakin Explode your Foes! These transformations look awesome, and make the player feel powerful when their character get super pumped up and super pissed! ✊

  Rip and Tear Your Way!

  Shape your berserker as they make their destructive and deliciously body filled path through the random lvls, where the total Dungeon layouts, specific room layouts, obstacles, monster types and placement, traps, treasure rooms, side passages, locking doors, arenas, and special hazards for the lvl will change every run; so cool! You customize your character at the start, choosing which weapons to buy and wield in your left and right hands at the start to fuel your rage as you rip through the labyrinth, choosing from 1 of 3 available abilities after you clear each stage. And after clearing a stage, you get to pick again, or just take the gold and maybe save up for something better. Once you die, the Meta Progression kicks in, unlocking other items you can select or find as you continue Berserk Mode ing through the baddies. After a quick start, you select your starting armor, helm, artifact, and transformation, and then further shape them in the starting room. So Grab the Goodies! Go Berserk Mode! Use the ORB! And Other Artifacts of Awesomeness! TRANSFORM! And DESTROY! Go Berserk Mode NOW!!! It’s Awesome! Note: Berserk Mode may be Early Access, but it’s still visceral and awesome!   First impressions: I really like the artwork and the music totally Slaps! This game is pretty much non-stop action (except between levels) and it's pretty cool how you can switch between berserker and beast form. The rogue-like aspect is also fun as it allows you to try lots of different weapon combinations as well as expand your armor / powers as you level up.

  I have a lot of time in this game now, and bought the game for one of my freinds, game is great! I think it could use some work with new weapons and powers, I don't feel like the game is lacking anything. Its great and has room for more! I currently am max level and have an additional 22700 xp over the max (I have wraped the xp bar on level 18 probably at least 20 times at this point) I have beaten the game and I have made it to world 5 unarmed, as well as making it to world 4 without making any attacks or kicks (I plan to go further, though i think this run will die in world 6 or 7) The highest level weapon I have got so far is +6 (150% damadge) I will say, as somone who has seen pretty much all of this games content at this point, the game is great and I cant wait to see where it goes from here! Note if you are having trouble with bomb-goblins, if you kick them into another enemy it will cause them to explode, its super fun and great at clearing clumps of enemies!

  This game is absolutely awesome. I came in not expecting much, but this game has a lot of replayability and depth. The simple concept: escape the 7 levels of the dungeon without dying. Weapons, armor, equipment and magic are essential to achieve this, and can be bought with treasure scattered throughout the levels. A variety of unique monsters stand in your way, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The execution: from the graphical choices to the atmosphere and music, Berserk Mode gives a very unique experience. The level design, while simple, is still enjoyable and randomly generated, meaning no run is quite the same. Small details like piles of rubble and bones keep the world feeling fresh and exciting, while most levels have a unique gameplay feature that sets them apart from the rest. The gameplay: One of the most unique parts of this game is the constantly draining health. The longer you stay in the dungeon, the more it hurts you. This provides the need for constant forward movement, as staying still will leave you drained. The game runs smoothly, with few noticeable bugs (especially considering the small development team lol) even on lower-end computers. The monsters move and react very nicely, and all the weapons feel good to use. I would definitely recommend this game. Even though I've beaten it, I keep coming back for more, and I look forward to what happens with this game in the future.

  A simple idea with a ton of variety. This game is in its infancy and there is already a high bar to complete this, with a great complement to the various play styles (you're never shoehorned into hack and slash). The incremental way you level up your skills and start again once you die means that you passively get better, and stronger, and learn patterns of enemies to get to that next stage. Very addictive - exciting to think how much this game can grow!

  Heres my first impression review. F*** the spiders F*** the explody bagboys F*** the red cursed levels F*** the sword F*** not being the first one to level 4 F*** I love this game so far. I shall wait for Full Release. Is it worth $7.00? 100%. I think there is a crap ton of potential for this game. I love the progression, the combat, (Can be janky at times which is easily ironed out), the weapons etc. Great game. Great start. But seriously...... F*** those spiders

  It's a fun roguelite, short in it's current state at 08/07/22. There's a few bugs but honestly I love that about it. It's not perfect and it's not trying to be, really feels like a good old fashioned game not like these new games where the fun bugs are patched out right away. There's no bugs that will leave you angry so why bother patching them anyway. TL/DR If you like shooting, slashing or movement games, you should enjoy this.
