  after playing a bit longer and unlocking more stuff, i think my previous review was wrong. i got what i was hoping for and this game is becoming more and more fun. the game mechanics are very fun and extremely unique, and the strange trippy and unsettling vibe is really the cherry on top. highly recommend if you are looking for a roguelike that will make you think

  Very interesting rogue-like tactics game, good and varied music, every boss and enemy feels unique, the dialogue is very well written. The dev has some solid previous works on steam that are both well reviewed, and as this game has the same team its got some good backing. The resource attack mechanic is very unique and enjoyable to experiment with, you always feel like you have options to consider and there is very little RNG. Don't usually write reviews, but this is a game I really want to support, good job so far fellas.

  Nasty, brutish and woefully short. Lovely music, unique trappings, entertaining, engaging gameplay that doesn't feel unfair, only thing that's really wrong with it is only that there isn't more of it. Something of a hidden gem of a game, hope it gets the success it deserves. Edit: ok, there's more content than I thought. Definitely highly recommended now!

  Won the first ever real run I did, and then proceeded to lose the next 10. That being said, none of my deaths really felt cheap after I understood the strategy you're supposed to use for each fight. I have been told that the starting party can be used to beat every fight in the game, and I can attest to this. I soloed the last 20 points on Ouroboros with Hans. It was a slow process, and I really hope the patch that allows you to skip enemy animations comes soon, but I did it. And you can too.

  I'll get my biggest gripe out of the way first. Each character has three movesets, each sharing one attack with another. Whenever you start a run you get to choose one party member and their moveset and then you get a random one with a random moveset. No set of two party members truly feel useless, you could probably beat the game with any starting pair. The actual issue is that some really aren't fun together or are more of a hassle than others. It just makes way more sense to restart a run when you get a sub par combination rather than pushing through it. This also ends up making unlocking new party members feel a lot worse. If you unlock one that doesn't fit your play style or is actually just bad now you have less chance of getting something you'd like. Things I like about the game; Nearly all of it. This is just a great strategy roguelite with a style I love. The art and animations are beautiful, it's got some disgusting enemies and party members with awesome designs. I especially love the animations for attacks. Each one has a ton of flavor and reminds me a lot of the Lisa games. On top of that is the music. god damn this soundtrack is awesome, it's a great mix of fun and intense. I love the combat and pigment system. During actual fights I rarely feel like I'm totally screwed over due to luck, it's usually my own stupidity. Characters can work nicely together to form a lot of interesting strategies and the pigment system is a great way to keep it from getting boring. The story is wonderful. It's sad and funny at the same time, I absolutely love stories like this and I feel the themes are handled excellently. This review is already one of my longer ones so I'll end it here. I'd love to see more content added to the game in the future either through updates or paid DLC.
