  I liked this game a lot, but it kind of fell apart at the end where you have to go back and tediously collect keys, then play a really annoying final level that made my eyes hurt. I loved everything else though, especially the ending sequence. I just wish the final hour and a half didn't drag so much.

  I want give this game a positive review because it was fun and silly, and the aesthetics were cute, right up until the end of the Geo City area. The visuals of the last couple areas were ugly and uninteresting. Further, instead of actually making the last areas meaningfully more difficult, a false sense of difficulty was created by hiding things around sharp corners out of view and in tedious labyrinths, and there were parts where you would have to guess that there were invisible walls or buttons present even though the first areas of the game established that environmental cues would be provided. The game was unnecessarily long and they could have omitted these final areas. There was not much of a story but the little story that was there hinted at there being an actual conclusion. Alas, there was none and the entire journey seemed meaningless. The unnecessary kaleidoscope effects before the end card gave me a visual migraine. Fortunately, my play through was not as wrought with bugs as others who rated this game negatively, but I did experience one bug where I was stuck moving in slow motion. I had to quit and then open the game again to fix it. The game is probably worth it to play the first few areas if you can get it on sale; I would not recommend paying full price for this.

  A beautiful game for a niche. More of a puzzle game at times than a walking simulator. Even if I was sometimes confused on where to go, it never took too long to find the way.In terms of Vaporwave and the early internet aesthetics, this game captures the identity of both of those so well. It hits the weird cynical tones and relaxing sound spaces that Vaporwave often does, while having a reverence and respect for the early internet, it's weird stories and personalities, and it's unorthodox style.To give a non-spoiler interpretation of the story, it's about what the early internet was and meant to people. The relationships that grew out of games and forums, the communities that would form and break apart, and the people who were able to express themselves freely. I don't want to say it's a period piece, since it is so tied to the more modern Vaporwave genre and aesthetic, but it sometimes goes into that space.My only real complaint is that the visual in the final level gave me a headache by the end, even though I did enjoy the rough look of it. I should warn that there are a lot of bugs, some that can permanently slow down your game until you reload, or get you stuck unable to progress. For this reason, save often. I lost about 10 minutes of progress at one point and it was annoying to get back up to that point, but I'm glad that I saw it through.It's a relatively short game, took be about 6.5 hours. If you like walking sim and puzzle games and like early internet and Vaporwave aesthetics, this game is great.

  Loved it but I felt that the chapters deteriorated in quality and aesthetics the more I went on.

  Just quit this game on the final level. For some reason, it was lagging badly like it had been poorly optimised and it was making the game impossible to complete. I tried shifting the graphics settings to low, but no luck. This game is frustrating towards the end, it becomes a hunt for secrets. Hidden things across levels you've already played through. Without the guides and youtube playthroughs to lean on, I would have given up earlier. I wrote the following when I was about 75% through: First, this game can be ugly in its aesthetic, but it's obviously entirely intentional. It's pretty jarring on the eyes, at times. It can be fun exploring, finding items, completing quests. But honestly, without the Steam guides I would have been lost on some points. For example: I completely missed that 3 rock statues weren't part of the scenery but NPCs that I needed to talk to. Most of the NPCs are textbox-spouting, useless things. One NPC by a pool has an essential quest.. and he doesn't look much different to the rest, so before reading a guide, I overlooked him. I encountered the mixtape bug which there's a guide for. It seems maybe if you pick up a couple of mixtapes in the wrong order, the game glitches and marks you down as only possessing one of the items. The only forwards is to go and edit your save game file in the Windows registry. No for sale game should have bug requiring manual hacking at save files to fix it. Which is I can't recommend this game. I'm in the final stages of the game,I think - hunting for little yellow pyramids across the game maps. It wouldn't be so bad but - going by the Steam guide on this - it looks like half are hidden away, with a couple of invisible entrances, at least. I won't be tracking them down myself, I'll follow the guide because I'm too impatient for a painstaking hunt by myself. Another reason I wouldn't buy this game again - a game should present some challenges IMHO, but making it painful to finish, entirely spoils the fun.

  10/10 interesting game, play while under the influence for best results. However I did play the entire game forgetting that you can press TAB to open the fucking menu which would've saved me a ton of grief.
