  It may be stuck in early access hell and more a tech demo then a game, but GP Bikes has the best motorcycle physics period. It's just, there isn't much to do unless you download 40 GB's of mods. My review on Youtube.

  Just the best when it comes to "simulating" a motorcycle. There is no such thing as GP Bikes. This game comes with a bike and a track. However, this game is like assetto corsa. You need to install many mods to have fun with it. The mods are really good. They provide realistic content even though they are not official. The tracks are laser scanned but from other games. The bad thing is the fact that you need to install 40gb to have fun with it. The good thing is you have them in Mega with one URL. The solo experience is great, at least for me. There is no story mode as this games provides only simulation physics. It's basically a tool. For new bikers, this game feels punishing but it requires the precision you should need in real life. Of course, many people do not want a realistic simulation because they may get overwhelmed but for someone that wants the best. This is the game. The community of this game is really helpful!. They encourage you to play the game and help you with mods and stuff. The races in this game are really hard. Everyone rides differently and race starts are a mess because it is tough to brake. The skill gap in this game is high and you can tell by just watching 1 lap. With experience everything is possible but this game always wants you to practice a lot and test everything. This game shines with its physics. You feel the suspension when braking (braking 100% is a guaranteed stoppie if you press them rapidly). The sensation of tyres when they are cold and hot adds a lot. Leaning and turning is not the same and you can even bind them or just have them as assisted. And for people that come from Milestone games, the bike at 200 km/h is really heavy and you can't turn them easily. Pianos are dangerous like real life and rain is not just having less grip but it is also easier to fall when you lean. GP Bikes' phylosophy is to be smooth and push it to the limits without being too greedy. The only thing that I hate is the fact that at low speeds is hard to turn and grass is flat and feels smooth yet easy to fall. The graphics are ok. They don't look gorgeous but they are ok for racing and time trials (Reshade is great if you want to have a more vivid colours). Moreover, the animations are great (mods are available too and they are great such as Marquez ride style), the rider feels good and the first person camera feels really realistic. The camera moves with the rider and the air just feels so good. Only because of the camera, the game is worthy. Furthermore, you have VR in this game that people say work well. Set up and customisation are also some important stuff. This game lets you have a custom rider like Rossi from 2009 (with the mod, of course) and, as said before, lets you have a custom riding style. Not only that, but the bike's set up is freedom. You can custom the gears, suspension... everything. Of course, the game punishes you for having a bad set up but it lets you choose how your bike will react with braking, accelerating and turning. In conclusion, the game offers too much variety and is the best thing out there compared to Ride and MotoGP. You can ride the bike you like the most, your dream's track and with friends by creating a server. Everything in this game is made with love and made by the best friendly community. For someone new, take your time and learn, don't be greedy and enjoy the speed and the feeling of making a mega lap! I would only recommend this game for people that love motorbikes and want the best thing. Hope you like this review :D

  Love this so far but you will need to put the work in for it to become enjoyable... you WILL crash a lot at first! Physics are great with a few odd quirks, graphics are ok with mods, sounds are hit and miss depending on the mod in use. There are no AI riders, only ghosts of your previous laps so racing is online only if you are lucky enough to find a server that is populated with a decent ping. Here lies the main caveat with GP bikes. You must download and install mods to make this sim worth playing. Some of the mods are excellent so kudos to the modding community for their efforts, some of the bikes especially are works of art. Tracks, bikes, helmets, leathers are all available as mods and the installation is easy once you've done it a couple of times The developer (yes, a one man outfit as far as I know) doesn't seem to have had the time or inclination to do anything major with the sim for some years although fairly small updates do appear now and then The learning curve is very steep but it is rewarding when you beat your previous fastest lap times. Decent bike set up is critical in my opinion and it can be complex and a bit hit and miss. The community seems quite friendly so always worth asking if you are stuck with anything. To sum up:- Great if you love a good bike sim and are a bit fed up with the somewhat arcady feel of Ride or Moto GP series. Not so good if you have a short attention span and aren't interested or unable to put the time in to 'git gud'. If you want another bike game but are in no hurry wait for a sale on this one! : )

  If flicking yourself in the nuts repeatedly is your thing, then this is the simulation for you. Balls hard, as it should be. First bike sim that is a bike sim. Ghost lapping brings out the Dirt Rally compulsion in me. I have taken to playing it with a steering wheel and pedals. sounds weird I know..but I have never ridden a M/C with a joypad either. Not so strange now, is it. It's fairly barebones, but the excellent mod community more than makes up for that. VR implementation is excellent. It feels like a trackday. I do like this one. There is a demo available from the developer website.

  I wish there was a "Mixed" review recommendation because it's Good game, it just relies too much on the community making mods for it. I wish it was more polished, and I wish it had a UI and controls that are more user-friendly. it has its moments of being really fun and being the best handling motorcycle game out there, but all the other issues cloud that fun.

  Assetto Corsa but Bikes. One of the Greatest bike sim ever. MotoGP in GP Bikes is a lot better than the licensed MotoGP game. But GP Bikes also lacks a bit when it comes to content. The Moto2 while Fun can take some time to get used to, so I would like to see some beginner's bikes like a Pocket bike, it'll be small, slow and easy to handle. It would definitely flatten the learning curve into something a bit more digestible. Graphics don't matter, the game is so immersive your brain enhances the graphics into real life anyway. 9/10 "Really makes you feel like MM in the first couple of hours, then you can actually ride your bike properly." The community really really needs a Pocket Bike PiBoSo, not me, the community.

  Turn off Lock To Bike and Turn on Look to Apex, it changes the whole game.

  So as You have already noticed yes I recommend buying GP Bikes. I've played Almost All Milestone games starting from Super-bikes Riding Challenge through Ride 1, 2, 4 MotoGp 20, Ise Of Man TT 1 and 2 all on PC and the old time classic Tourist Trophy on PS2 but maaann GP Bikes is the ultimate motorcycle riding experience. And I agree with sceptics that it is a lot for a game that has got one motorcycle and three tracks but when you will discover all the treasures created by the community aka MODS it will blow you're mind. Tracks, Bikes, Suits, Helmets and other stuff crated by the community for the community. But mind you it is a simulator unlike other so called ''simulators'' it it hard to get the grips with steering at first but hey it took me about 8 hours to get used to it and I'm faaar from being gaming pro. If I could do it so can You! Few thing to notice: - There is No AI in the game - There is No Career or any this type of thing - You can race you're co called ghost or as its called in the game ''Trainer'' of which you can load up to eight on one track - Modding is not as hard a you may think and there is plenty guides out there but fundamentally its Download Unzip Paste - And of course online races which I did not do yet because I'm having a blast just trying do beat my best times. So to summarise I recommend going to official gp-bikes website where you can download demo version and try before buying full version. That's what I did.
