  So i'v seen some of the recent negative reviews with less than an hour of playtime and have to say i find some points to agree and disagree. But overall i say i would definitely recommend this game. CPS plays similar to "Deathstate" - you dont actively aim like in ETG but, and this differs to deathstate, you have to press the (autoaim) trigger of your gun. Caveat you will stand still for a brief moment. I understand that comming from many other top down indie games, like ETG or BOI it feels somewhat clunky at the beginning but it also makes the combat more difficult because you can't just spam your auto aim weapons while dodging or running but you have to think about windows of opportunity to engange the enemy so you dont just tank severeal hits/shots because you stand still in front of them. I have to agree tho that the fact that a "real" online coop doesnt exists, dampens the experience - although to be fair you can still play with firends online via the "steam remote gaming" feature - so another person even on their own pc can play with you (but its somewhat tedious and one of the at least two players needs a controller). Disclaimer: I understand that the "in 100 hours the game gets really good"-argument is not a valid argument. I still want to make the point of "seeing players with less than an hour of playtime" reviewing the entirety of this game. Because as the indie game that it is its comparitively short (although is the the recently added endless mode as a great addition). And in my experience the difficulty cure "ramps up" the further you get in the game (as it should). And playing just the first few episodes doesnt represent the entire picture. As someone who has played every episode (not meant to flex but to represent someone who has played the game entirely) i think the easier early level make a great beginner experience - you learn the machanics of the game and the enemies are easy enough to beat, but as you progess further you will see that the level will get harder and more difficult to beat. I will also admit that the balancing is at times off - in the campaign more so because of the permanent upgrades you can get (looking at you close range crits) but skill is still needed to beat later episodes and upgrades wont results in free progession.

  It's okay but there are some weird decisions and bugs This is a slower top down shooter then other twin stick shooters out there. The main element that leads to this is the inability to move and shoot. This is fine as the gameplay revolves around finding a good rhythm to shooting, dodging and moving. Here is why I don't recommend it 1) You cannot change the controller binding. That's crazy since you can change the keyboard binding. Worst of all, it's A (X on PS controller) on the controller to shoot and B (O on PS controller) to dash. Plus the pickup button is the same as the shoot button and the use item button is on the X (< > on PS controller). To be fair, you don't pickup item until the round is over but then again there are 5 other buttons the Devs could have used... This lack of configuration is extremely annoying since your thumbs is moving so much while your trigger fingers are not doing anything. It makes the game feel extremely clunky. 2) Auto Aim. I don't mind auto aim, I actually prefer it most of the time but this auto aim need some work. Here's the scenario, I'm running away from a mob. A new enemy spawns besides me. The auto aim decides it's best to kill things far away from me versus the enemy that literally have a gun to my head. Normally, this is when I decide that auto aim is not worth it and I will switch to manual aiming. Well you can't do that here. Auto aim or bust. Which is good I guess since manual aiming would be impossible with the current controller button binding. 3) Variety. I only see 4 classes and very basic powerups and items. There is nothing here that I think is noteworthy. Normally after 1 run in these type of games, I'm usually hankering to start another run to test stuff I powered up. Unfortunately most of these powerups are just a stats increase. Lastly, I had a steam cloud bug where I was playing on the PC and went to the Steam Deck to continue and my save did not transfer over. Then my new save on the deck overwrote my PC one. That was the final straw.

  Very fun game, it's an interesting rougelike with more to come in updates Pros: - Art style, reminding of Happy Tree Friends - Coop ability, great in coop - Ability to blow up an audience - Many guns, perk, and items combinations Cons: - Sometimes so much happens on screen it's easy to get lost I can recommend it right now, especially if you are looking for something to play with a friend

  The Crackpet Show is really just a mindless shooter that only requires you to dodge while the game does the rest for you. In my personal opinion, I feel like having this aimlock mechanic really takes out a lot of the fun when it comes to games like this due to the fact it makes the game so much easier. Within only 30 minutes of gameplay, I was able to clear three full stages of the first season with little to no struggle. Don't get me wrong, I still had fun and enjoyed everything else but I truly feel like this game would be extremely fun if you had control over your aim and if they made the shooting and moving more fluid. When attempting to shoot a lot of the time, you are stuck in place and have to stop shooting to dodge which just feels clunky to me, I understand the purpose for that but I truly feel like they should have just taken the usual approach of giving the users the freedom to aim themselves. Aside from the combat, they did an excellent job with everything else. The weapons, perks, characters, items, and mobs are fairly unique when compared to games alike which in my opinion make up for the combat flaws. Overall, I enjoyed the game and will most likely find myself coming back to play from time to time. In conclusion, I can confidently say that I 100% recommend this game despite the issues I had with it, it is simple, fun, and just a good game to relax on and or just play with some friends.

  Cool game to pick up and play now and then. I can definetly see myself murdering critters in this game when I don't know what else to play. Probably pretty fun with others too. Nice game. Hopefully more characters/customization to come.
