  Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently gave a shot at playing Marauders, and sadly, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. While the graphics did manage to catch my eye, it’s a shame that they were the only redeeming quality in an otherwise frustrating gameplay. The PvP aspect of the game, touted as one of its highlights, turned out to be a complete letdown. It’s disheartening to see how rampant hacking has become, rendering the matches virtually unplayable. With just 26 hours invested in the game, I’ve encountered a distressing pattern: almost every match I participated in was plagued by hackers. It’s astonishing that even with such a short playtime, I could easily identify this disturbing trend. What’s even more disconcerting is the lack of effective action from the game’s moderators. It’s baffling how these hackers are seemingly allowed to roam free without any real consequences. The experience is further soured by the fact that lobbies consistently harbor at least one hacker. This level of pervasive cheating creates an environment that is anything but enjoyable. In conclusion, my brief stint with Marauders has left me with an overwhelmingly negative impression. The appealing graphics couldn’t compensate for the utter disappointment brought about by the rampant hacking problem and the apparent lack of intervention from the mods. Until these fundamental issues are addressed, I regret to say that the game remains unplayable and far from delivering a satisfactory gaming experience.

  Even for Early Access the game is good. Peers use the term "Tarkov in space", and I can see why . . . ammo is a thing, but not like you need to load every round, it's more simplified than that. The game seems harsh out of the box, and make no bones about it, the game is a PvP experience. However, when you have no gear, the title has provided several ways to balance the playing field while you get a leg up on some loot. Salvaging & a new "Raiders Mode" game mode that drops you & something like 5 others w/ random gear. The new mode can be launched once every 20 minutes . . . also, there's quite a bit of starting cash & gear to get you going. The PvP / PvE transition keeps the intensity up & there's a great feeling when you get to know the game-play mechanics & know the levels more. I'd highly recommend running with at least 1 other person you can trust on your side . . . max squad size is currently capped at 4.

  love this game some small annoyances like hit reg but other than that really easy to progress and get what you need everything always seems fair and just whether you win or lose would definitely recommend also if you complain about wipes get good cause it sounds like you need it

  Super good game, they notify you about everything(including wipes which are only gonna happen during early-access). The Prestige idea is awesome. Really fun game to play with friends. I recommend killing your leader to collect their captain keycard.

  its like rust and tarkov but in space and it doesnt make you feel like your balls are getting put in a hydrolic press

  Great game but cheaters ruin the experience. They'll shoot you through walls, breach into your ship when it's already docked, they're out here running at mach 5, they're using unobtainable items, most of the top leaderboard is cheating with plenty of players posting obvious clips showing it, but devs still won't ban them. If you mention cheating in their discord they'll ban you there, players have also been banned in-game for commenting about cheaters in steam community posts. Could be a way better experience if the devs put some time into fixing all the exploits, which have been around since the game was open for pretesting, in August of 2022. They've known about these issues for 6 months now, but have done pretty much nothing other than adding Denuvo, which only helped for a few days.

  I've tried to get into Escape from Tarkov a few times with my friends, but I never really jived with it. My doctor diagnosed me with "Skill Issue" and prescribed me Marauders, which I've been enjoying way more.
