  I have Multiple Sclerosis and this program has been a lifesaver for me. I can't use M/KB correctly and while even with a perfect setup I won't be playing Heroes of the Storm (or anything that isn't the speed of an RPG or 4x) again anytime soon I can go back and play tons of games and apps that I never thought I'd be able to use. Specifically my right (dominant) hand has what is known as drop-wrist and no feeling so its effectively paralyzed. I just want to let everyone know that this is a great program not just for daily use but with some patience at setting up the binds or finding the right workshop support, this program will work magic in making basically everything have a unified easy to use control scheme. An example would be if you are an Xbox player and love Dynasty Warriors, you expect A to be jump, X to be a regular attack, Y to be a strong attack or chain attack; etc etc, could go on but the idea is that every game now can have those general commands. I can always have A be to conform or use something in a game or be left clicking where needed. Once you get use to YOUR control scheme you can pretty much get it working for every game in some way; whether it be a hack and slash, RPG, adventure game; pretty much everyone has their priorities and then people go out of their way to create unique and maybe easier to use Workshop set-ups for games you might find out you like more. I sincerely write this as my hand is slowly getting better and I go for more MRIs. At some point I will be able to use the M/KB just fine again for the most part but I feel like Controller Companion will always be my preferred way of using certain programs or playing certain games. You have honestly made someone's life a little bit better with this program and I say that sincerely. All the best - Dennis

  I'm disabled and can't play most games without a controller, this tool is such a bliss for me, I can't imagine living without it. The workshop support is an additional icing on the cake.

  Probably the best 3 bucks I ever spent. I know there are other ways to achieve this, but to have a way to use my 360 pad for web surfing, mouse-driven-non-controller-enabled games, watching tv shows from the couch, basically anywhere you wanted your mouse you can have your controller, and it's on Steam! This is what I needed in my life. It even has custom key bindings for buttons including a combination pressing of "back"+ which allows you to duplicate the controllers' functionality. AND! You can run it without having Steam time logged if you want, by having it launch at boot or just launching the EXE directly. I was going to say, "wow, now all we need is a way for it to stop being Controller Companion when I turn on a game" but it already does that by default. I just booted up a controller game and it behaves as normal when you are playing the game, and then when you quit back to desktop it goes back to being Controller Companion. Cool! Exactly what I wanted. Did some testing, whenever any game goes "fullscreen", it stops and lets the game take over your controller, but to override that and use controller companion you hold "back"+start and it takes over. So it will work with any application this way. Absolutely brilliant.

  A fantastic application for users who prefer to navigate with their controllers. Works perfectly with my Xbox 360 controller. Controls are simple and easy to use with customizable key bindings. It also includes an interactive keyboard. More importantly, you are able to use your controller for games that do not officially have full-controller support. When in full screen, simply hit back and start at the same time. Do yourself a favor and pick this up if you love using your controller for almost all things while sitting comfortably on your chair or couch!

  Works perfectly as expected. Also nice that it recognizes my swedish keyboard and shows swedish characters and stuff! Would be nice to see Linux support though!

  After many months of use, here is my experience and opinion of this software. Controller Companion is [b]very helpful, convenient, and intuitive. A steal even at full price![/b] [list] [*] It works flawlessly. I already own multiple Xbox 360 controllers and whether you're using a wired, USB one, or a wireless (with adapter dongle), I've never had problems. You connect your controller and it's immediately good to go! [*] You can customize everything (that I can think of). One time I thought my A on the controller was getting sticky, no problem! Just re-binded left mouse button to something else. [*] If you're playing a game, or anything full screen, it will disable the software and the game will detect it as a controller as intended, and disable the mouse/ keyboard bindings. But if you just wanted to play the game with this as a mouse, no problem! Press back and start and Controller Companion is instantly enabled again. [*] There's minimal effort required for re-binding things, and switching back from Controller Companion to just the original controller and vice versa - It's super well designed and intuitive. [*] You can create profiles too, for example some people posted profiles for visual novels, etc. or for watching movies, that have the most relevant keys configured for your controller. You can then easily switch back to a standard binding once done. [*] It runs in the background that doesn't trigger the Steam counter once you launch it the first time, so it doesn't unnecessarily show you've played 1k hours on this (I'm indifferent about this, but definitely a plus for people that don't like unnecessary time counters.) [/list] I heavily use this for browsing from my bed, or when I'm leaning back in my office chair half asleep. Controller Companion also helps me with studying, really! I just have lecture slides up, sit back, and scroll. Studying while not having to sit properly at my keyboard is the best! One small thing about this is that the typing is slow, as you would expect - Steam big picture mode, and any console usually has slower typing, but this really didn't take away from my experience, because I primarily use Controller Companion as what it's designed for - mouse and some functions (volume, next song etc.) and not as a keyboard. Overall, I highly recommend this software, it works amazingly and is super easy to use, with a multitude of situations you could benefit from using it with a controller.

  Works well (Xbone controller). Helps with my arthritis in my left hand from gaming. Well worth the 2.99 I paid for it. Also makes useful for Hearthstone and some RTS game. 10/10 would buy again

  Excellent app for use with Xbox One controller. I’m 40 years old and experiencing hand/wrist pains. This software allows me to play games which do not support controllers. Thank you so much for helping me continue a hobby that is likely the cause of my pains!

  A very cool and useful tool that allows you to not only use your computer with a controller, but also play games with your controller by emulating your mouse and keyboard! It's easy to find profile on the Workshop, and it's even easier to create new ones. This program is very complete and still supported by the developpers. 9/10
