  The concept of this game is appealing, and what I've been able to play so far draws me in enough to legitimately play more. That's the problem though. I can't. Constant bugs with the UI stop me from making ANY progress in RealWorld AND DreamWorld. I don't desire to have to find a controller just to play a game not even fully polished yet. I can't find/craft the hoe in DW, and there's a frequent chance of one interaction bar (usually with a shop) where the UI stays up and covers the toolbar or most of the screen (ex: the Pub vs Hadi's Mart are different sizes, immediate use versus inventory style purchases). This interferes with accessing anything from then on. Sometimes I can get out of it, but 75% of the time I've had to restart the game. I've had one hardlock so far when an NPC spawned in, tried to speak with her, only for everything to freeze. I want to play more. But in its current state this is unplayable for me. UI and controls needs to be polished more than content development priorities atm in my opinion.

  I really wanted to like this game but i won't lie, the controls are a little aggravating. I wasn't really told how to improve my moods or what they even are (which is fine) but when i tried to leave through the station the map came up... and after i left it just stayed up. even after pressing escape and stuff. hopefully things can be improved eventually because i think it's an interesting idea conceptually

  Why is this game so hard to play? This is not a difficulty assessment, it's the amount the glitches that it has.

  Been following this game for awhile. Thought 0.8 was the right time to jump in and play, it was not. This game is so insanely buggy. Have to restart the game regularly just to get over the glitch where you can't interact with people. Also, I think the time doesn't pause when you talk to people. Who thought that was a good idea? I skip all the dialogues because of it

  I really, really, really, really wanted to like this game. I followed the development for months and eagerly awaited the day I'd get to play this fantastic idea for a game...then, the day finally came! The result: it is incredibly lackluster. First: the game is incredibly confusing (where it really does not need to be) and provides you with little to no direction. I am dropped into the world and taught the basic controls and then sent to the city, told I have a job, and that I need to make sure my mood remains positive (but not how to keep my mood in check). Then, I go to sleep where I am introduced to a dream world that is no less confusing but provided with equally poor direction. This game really needs to introduce a longer and better thought out tutorial. Next: The controls, graphics, and interaction system really feel like they lack polish. Now, I came to this game from Stardew Valley, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and Gleaner Heights (all fantastic in their own right) and, compared to those titles, this game seems to be lacking a lot of polish. The pixel art looks awkward and out of place, the dialogue options are confusing and feel rigid, and the controls just outright feel janky a lot of the time. Furthermore, the game world is extremely small with near nothing to do and a minuscule population. It feels empty and fake. Games like the aforementioned Stardew Valley, Friends of Mineral Town, and Gleaner heights have game worlds that feel larger, more complex, and more lived in...this game's world feels more like an extremely forced, awkward, and subpar potemkin village than a real city or town lived in by real people. Finally, the game lacks direction. I am confused by what I am supposed to be doing and how to achieve certain goals the majority of the time and that really ruins the experience for me, and a lot of others judging by the other reviews. Overall (TL;DR): the game is subpar in that it lacks polish, provides no sense of direction or motivation, and fails to present a world that feels lived in. I'd give this game a 4/10 and wouldn't even purchase it on sale right now...but, I would keep an eye on it and potentially pick it up once it's a bit farther along in development.

  Man, I really love the concept but WOW this game is difficult. You start off with the tiniest tutorial that literally just teaches you how to make yourself food and then you're yeeted into the game with no other information. I tried so hard to maintain my stress and hunger levels and no matter what I did, my stress bar stayed at a full 100%. Video games, watching movies, doing anything leisurely- none of it reduced my stress bar. I also wasn't able to feed myself because the "grocer" next door only has like random 5 items in stock each day and most ingredients I can't use because I haven't learned the recipe yet. You can't eat fruits or vegetables without a recipe, so that was a bust when I thought buying bananas would feed me. I wasn't able to buy food from restaurants because I had no money. THEN, I realized, well you can't die from starvation! (I actually got a "Hurray for being vegan!" after not eating for a week straight XD) So what you have to do to have any fun in this game, is to just grind out a few days/weeks of working/ sleeping and nothing else. Save up some coin and THEN you can go get two massages, reduce your stress levels to 0% and then you have more time in the dream world to work towards stress management. Ugh, the dream world. This world is so grindy for no reason. To smelt one bar of ore, you basically need to chop down every tree in the dream world to keep the smelter going. Then, you need to do that 20 more times to build the two machines you need to get the currency used to buy Introvert or Extrovert perks, farm seeds, and to even progress at all. I did not make it far enough to even bother trying. Just a ridiculous amount of time and effort has to be put in. What would have to change to make this game enjoyable? 1. Less materials required for crafting stations. 2. More food options to keep your character fed 3. Leisurely activities help stress levels (especially with how expensive they are) 4. Friendship level increases when you talk to them or do their quests 5. UI needs a DRASTIC improvement 6. Stress meter needs to not be at 100% after one day at work especially when I can't afford any items in game after just one day I understand the devs have said this game is intended to be played for hundreds of hours, and I absolutely do not mind a little grind, heck, I have 300+ hours in Stardew Valley, but this is out of control. There also seems to be little to no information on the game's wiki and it's been out for almost 1.5 years in early access. If some tweaks were made in the difficulty of this game, I would absolutely continue playing. I loved exploring the different areas and the whole world is really cute and you can see a lot of time went into the design of all the little shops. All that being said, I can't really recommend this game in it's current state but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for any news and updates about Circadian City because I would love to continue playing. I'm giving them a thumbs up for now since I feel bad giving a thumbs down for an EA game.

  So far so good, I'll be updating my review as I spend more time in the game, From what I got so far the game looks very promising, it can seem a bit clunky at times. For example the character customization could be heavily improved by adding more options and maybe a color wheel that could help out a lot. The art style is beautiful and the open world aspect of the game is great, there's tons of exploration to do, if the game keeps getting updates to improve and fix some of the issues I would absolutely recommend it for people that enjoyed the Stardew Valley gameplay but in a cityscape with a more in-depth storyline. Since this game is in Early Access I recommend you buy it after a couple of more updates, or buy it now and try it out for yourself. 7/10
