  Just the game I have been looking for - a great heli gunship sim-cade. Like DCS but without the faffing about. It's a challenge to balance the role of both pilot and gunner that needs a cool head. Due to the relative complexity of systems to manage it might take some time to find your optimal key binds. But the game itself works well with a DS4 and keys. Still at early access but a lot of promise. Maybe one thing to lift it up a bit would be slightly better textures on both the interiors (cosmetic) and exteriors (to help judge distance from the ground). If you find your heli a bit too unstable due to the joy-pad stick seeming too sensitive then don't give up. There is a stability slider in the settings that will sort it out in a jiffy.

  The control sheme for game pads is just amazing. I'm looking forward to see more missions and maybe a mission editor

  I would usually wait until full release to review but this one is an exception as in exceptional already even limited to just quick missions in beta. I spent hours back in the day with all the classic flight sims incuding the helo's and this takes the best of those up to the next level. Graphics +5. Just two regions for now and both very different, desert and Norway, Using Trackir. VR on the list of upcoming. Flight model +5. Lots of setting adjusrments to dial in your modeling. Its a blast with a HOTAS set up. Now you can set damage off and just go fly around and blast away but the real sim is the hide and seek. That starts with planning your mission according to targets and known enemy defenses. Then choosing the proper weapons loadouts, wingman, support (artillery and drones available) all well presented with more to come. Then spend the next hour or so finding the enemy sites and blasting a corridor to your mission targets jumping from cover to cover point. Enemy will hide around crevices and ambush you if you just fly straight in. Lots of panic moments when they do. Weapons deployments well presented once you learn their capabilites and deployment. EDIT: And now we have usable wingmen to take along with us. Target specific, SEAD, CAS, Fire at Will orders available. Adds another aspect and fun to send them to a flanking spot and watch them take out targets!! Game keeps getting better and better! Programming my two Thrustmaster Cougar MFD panels to go with my X-52 Pro. And with all that kudos to the developer and his work and feedback. Very quick to respond and open to suggestions. So don't wait go ahead and grab in it's current beta and plan on spending some time ducking and dodging and blasting away!!!!

  I have looked for this kind of game for some time on a modern engine & one day it just appears in steam right in front of me! I have really liked what I have played so far & look forward to seeing more content for this game.

  Sim-lite helicopter game with streamlined controls across multiple helicopters with different mission profiles . Dev is super down-to-earth guy who implements wishes from the community and releases updates at least once a week. Highly recommend if you want something far more accessible than DCS. Be warned though, it's still in early access and therefore some areas like cockpits are low-detail place holders for now.
