  Not what I expected. I chose to go story mode on the short time I played this and it plays just like any standard RPGmaker game. Story Mode has easier battles but I feel like the 'story' was lacking. I understand they were trying to go with 'gritty' or 'dark' with moral decisions but in truth? I just didn't care. None of the characters were particularly compelling and the few characters I actually liked turned out to be ones I had to decided to either kill or not. Unfortunately I didn't get to choose my main character which would have been a thousand times better. The character chosen as the main character was not even a little bit compelling. She was not someone I felt terribly inclined to save and after about 2 hours I was finding more enjoyment in not healing her in battle. Maybe I missed something, maybe there are elements of the story I missed but there are other games that force moral decisions on you that are much more enjoyable and not at the expense of the likeability of the characters. I could go further into how the language, excessive cursing, and behavior don't really match the time period in which the game seems to be set and how I don't really enjoy the character design as it also doesn't really seem to fit but these are personal preference. It simply feels like they tried to do too many things halfway. There is potential for a better game but this one just seems like they needed to pull back and focus their efforts more on a smaller spectrum. I purchased this game over 14 days ago but I will still chance requesting a refund as it is not at all what I expected. TLDR: Game is average, characters and story are not interesting, and I did not enjoy as far as I played.

  Decent game for the price. Combat is pretty vanilla as far as turn based old school Final Fantasy feel goes, not hugely intuitive and playing on harder difficulty can feel unfair sometimes. As far as story and atmosphere are concerned, its interesting to say the least. Decent spin on you just watching adventurers interact while you are indirectly guiding events, and eveyone has a fairly established personality, though not being able to interact with some NPC's until much later in the story is a bit dissapointing. Also, beware that some of the puzzles and level design will have you clicking literally everywhere to find the damn secret, without much of hints or anything, so if you are in to that, knock yourself out, and if you don't like scouring every pixel to find someway out, good luck. Overall its a fun experiance to play through maybe once or twice. The story is the main appeal and why you should play the game, the combat is very forgettable. Pick this game up on sale if you want a few hours of entertainment.

  I played this game out of Steam, so don't pray attention to my time of playing here. I don't usually play stories that dark (I prefer lighthearted RPG maker games) but this one has such good atmosphere and character designs and writing, I really had a great time playing it ! Also the fact that you can decide of which characters will get out alive or not change the end of the game, so it had replayability.

  I just finished the game. I liked it, it was a fun little adventure. I like the characters really, they are likable,funny entertaining. love the store how everything is a mystery, you have no idea where you are, how you got there, you just have to listen to one voice to get out. But this is another of those *choices* games where they trick you that you can have many yet you still only have 1 end. Example: You see a guy, you talk to him, he can: join you, kill him, ignore him. No matter what you do he will die, so the choices don't matter in the end. I have seen this so many developers doing, and they just either don't know how to do a proper choice that mater or they no but just want to lure ppl with choice games, because ppl love games like that So that is big - in the game. Also, SPOILER! [spoiler]ending no explanation,you just get out of the castle, so a little angry there, that guy never explain way did he put you there or anything, i thought i deserved that to hear in the end[/spoiler] The game is also short 4h. for me, but I did pay like what ... 0.80$ on sale, so I think it is worth for the story and characters. It had good action, good weapons, and magic, only biggest let down is choices and ending. The monsters are interesting, there are many of them, some weak to like fire, ice, etc ... nice add on that overall fun little JRPG game.

  For the cheap price it's sold for, it's hard to not recommend this game. And yet, despite the nuance in some dialogue between each replay, there just isn't a lot of different stuff going on during a replay. It largely follows the Telltale Games' School of CYOA, in which most of the choices are forced and scripted, leaving a rather unsatisfied experience should you want to get rid of certain bitchy characters. It makes for a decent experience replaying the game a second time if you're bored and want to see what different dialogue there is, but it feels like a chore discovering these few bits of differences. But, like I said, it's cheap, so feel free to pick it up if you have nothing better to do.

  This RPGMaker game is different. For one, it seems to start like a Saw movie, in that not everyone can get out alive... and you have to choose who dies, in some cases... The plot is interesting enough. The gameplay is... RPGMaker standard. And the characters are vibrant... so much so that some of them you want the opportunity to "off"... stupid princess... Anyway, it is more than worth the price...

  Pretty boring game that fools You with the title and dialogues into thinking that Your choices matter. They don't, big spoiler: [spoiler] at the end of the game only 1 character survives [/spoiler] despite many choices that fool You into thinking if You could save other characters. Level design and story are boring after You know Your choices don't matter that much. You have to backtrack through many areas which just makes the game longer. The description says the game has "great replayability" but after finishing it once You won't touch it anyway because of how boring it is. The only people I believe replayed the game 2+ times are achievement junkies like me. I'm still trying to 100% this but it'll take me a long time because I don't feel like touching this game anymore right now. I completed 2 playthroughs that took me around 6-7h excluding some afk breaks I had even though I used previous save that was around 60% completion I believe. Basically game save to choose which character keeps the key item. I cannot believe how much developers tried to make the game longer. Even without backtracking the final 30minutes of the game are pure bs. You get to fight all the bosses that You fought already before You get to the final room and have to make final decision. The fact that road to the room was filled with many smaller mobs that would use up Your health, mana and useful items that would help You in these boss fights didn't help at all. I completed the game at normal difficulty so I don't even want to imagine how bad it is on hard or masochist. I don't recommend this game even for its low price. "Choose wisely" is an illusion that gets repeated many times throught the game, there's a lot of backtracking which doesn't even help on normal difficulty, I had no fun playing this game. Save Your time and money unless You're a real masochist though I think masochist difficulty might be too much even for real masochists.
