  Beat the game on normal difficulty in about 6 hours. I think $5 is a good deal but I'm kinda bummed I paid $15. Really fun concept but the presentation is a little too simple and short. Wait for a sale.

  This is a tough one, the game is honestly pretty fun. And I enjoyed every aspect of it with no complaints. However I completed the whole thing in less than three hours and there is basically no replayability. So for the cost it just simple isn't worth it. If there where more levels, or an endless mode, or some roguelike aspect I'd say its worth the price. As it is, $15 is a bit too much for three hours of fun :/

  I love the idea of this game, and I really REALLY want to love this game as it is... but this games solution to difficulty is how much AOE can we throw at the swarm. Once you get past the first 5-6 area's all the enemy produces is things that are tanky and out-range you, or things that are tanky and shoot faster than you, or things that are tanky and do massive AOE. Can you spot the pattern here? Once you get to the DLC area it does all of that but also 10X the number of enemy production which leads the game to boil down into either quickly overwhelm them non-stop because if you stop moving forward for even a second the enemy stacks and you lose; or you push a little then use invisible maw traps to hide until you have 100000000 resources (which can take an hour or two) and then just make so many nests you cant lose. I want to love this game but I just can't. EDIT: Forgot to mention "Spore artillery" are a trap. they are more likely to aggro massive waves of enemies then they are to hit that thing close to you, that you want destroyed.

  OK game. Main disapointment is with the humans and their AI, aka there isn't any. Humans act exact like you, trying to compete in an outbreeding competion. And if they start attacking then only because a few enemies randomly walked into your direction, not as part of an actual attack. Generally if the humans were more... human it would be more fun. If civilians ran away screeming from the bugs, people putting out buring buildings, soldiers advancing in an orderly fashion, then it would feel way more satisfying just swarming them down with billions of bugs in a display of alien indifference. But as it stands there is one tactic: build a s*** ton of nutrient blocks at the start and then just set your way point at the enemy base and watch. Defensive walls and turrets are completely useless since again the enemy does not attack.

  New DLC kills the balance. Rocket launchers are hilariously broken, dropships have way too much HP and can be insta-respawned by the humans, they now have the overwhelming numbers advantage, and you don't have enough advantages to win properly. Needs major retuning and playtesting. If it is beatable, I can't imagine it's any fun. The few levels I did beat were horrendously boring, sluggish slogs of tedium and annoyance.

  This is like Starcracft but without a need for obscene APM and you are playing the Zerg. It's quite relaxing.

  tl; dr - Fun little time waster, not hard on the brain at all. It's very hands-off but does require a little thought on some later fights. Not sure it's a $15 game but if you catch it for $10 or less, it's worth it - I got about 20 hours out of it and enjoyed it but, I'm about done so, whatever 20 hours is worth to you should be your price-point. My biggest complaint (I'll get to the positives) is that it's far, far too easy on the campaign - I beat it on "hard" my 1st time through, and on "impossible" my 2nd time. Might need to change the names or ramp up the difficulty, impossible was anything but, and that's to a new player. I can't say impossible was even all that hard. But then after the easy-mode campaign, the survival mode actually is impossibly hard, I have yet to even make it 20 waves, and I absolutely steam-rolled the "impossible" campaign. It just seems the difficulty is off on both, in opposite directions. My only other complaint is that the mouse (in full-screen mode) is the same lime green as some of your buggos and if you cover the map in slime, that's another green background. If there's an option to change the pointer icon/color, I didn't see it. I lost my pointer so often I was truly frustrated. For the positives, I'll have to say the story, despite being small, was pretty cute, I got a chuckle out of it. The different bug types mean different strategies could work, although I don't know why you'd play this game more than a couple of times but it does allow for flexibility of play-style. If you like to rush, you can go that route and spec for it, or if you like to turtle in RTS games, you can do that. It's important to design an RTS-type game with those two very different modes in mind, so it's really nice to see this dev did that. Simple but responsive controls, simple but clean interface, I mean, sometimes just not having any glaring flaws is in itself, a positive. The neutral - there's a tech/evolution tree but the traits don't change the buggos in any dynamic way, it's simple a base upgrade to what it already does. It's not bad in any way, and is balanced, but nothing that you'll think is unique or cool except for the mutated variant of one buggo type. More things like that would have been really cool to see. The defenses are also practically useless anymore, they get destroyed faster than your defensive buggos and have no benefit on death. Still, if you catch it on sale, it's a definite positive. Props to the dev, this is clearly a personal-passion project, and thank you for your efforts on this title.

  Buggos is like playing Starcraft Zerg with Majesty controls. However, it doesn't have the depth, variety, or challenge of either of those games. I like the art and theme, but the gameplay quickly becomes a repetitious chore of a flash game—every mission is just setting a rally point at the enemy base, selecting to only make Builders, and spamming out a ton of Hives/Farms(Nutrient Pods)/Towers. In later levels, you can ignore the towers entirely and spam Wasps, which decimate everything due to benefiting from most of the passive tree. I was hoping to find a reason to not just go Builders+Wasps, but none of the enemies or missions (including survival (which didn't seem to be getting more difficult after 100 waves)) punish you for it. I'm also unsure what the challenge of "Impossible" difficulty is suppose to be, as the enemies seemed to just wait around to die in every mission other than the last DLC mission, which actually sent a small handful of enemies at the beginning. In some respects it might seem like I optimized the fun out of the game early on, but when I tried other units it just felt like a slightly slower grind through the same repetitive content.
