Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Catholic Bible

The catechism is the text in which an organic synthesis of the essential and fundamental contents of the Christian doctrine regarding both faith and morals is presented.

In the case of the Catholic Church, its catechisms are based primarily on the Tradition of the Church interpreted in the light of Vatican II. Its main sources are the Sacred Scripture, the Fathers, the Liturgy and the Magisterium of the Church.
