  TLDR-Great game I'd recommend. Came across the Demo the day before release ironically while just browsing the store. Used to play SLRR and loved every minute of it but my main gripe with it was no controller support. This game does offer controller support but for now you must map the keys yourself from the options menu. Love this game and have already added some cars from my SLRR folder it's actually quite simple with the car converter in the local files. People must understand this isn't a remaster, just a re-release. The original version was plagued with tons of bugs and crashes and this version is much more stable, for me at least. Also understand this game is OLD. It released a full year BEFORE the very first Need For Speed: Underground. Truly ahead of its time. I would absolutely love to see elements from this game incorporated into say the Wreckfest or Beamng.drive engine. That would be a game I could see myself playing for years on end especially with continued support after release.

  1st try: accidentally sold car 2nd try: did racing, broke car, fixed car, had no more money for racing 3rd try: destroyed the car completely 4th:...ongoing remember, sidewalks are your worst enemy Now thats a good racing game, no help at all, git gud or get fucked. 10/10 would crash car again

  I've been waiting for this to be release for a while! I'd say if you liked SLRR as a kid (or as a adult), this is definetly worth it to buy! A amazing trip down the memory lane, it feels familiar, but at the same time it feels like a whole different game. Obviosly I haven't played it a lot when im writing this so, I can't say much about it, but for the price I'd say it's pretty worth it. I don't think it's going to be as big as SLRR, but still a amazing nostalgic feeling game. Might be even better once people start creating mods for it. We'll just have to see what the future holds! Definitely would recommend!

  I have been waiting for the release of this classic. Can't wait for the workshop to start populating, who knows, maybe it'll make the game even more popular

  This is hilariously good/bad. I bankrupted myself and had to sell my turbo, gearbox and nos kit to try repair my blown block. Why do you honk at pedestrians to find racers!?

  There's a lot of love that went into fixing up Street Legal for a re-release. Can't wait to see how Street Tuning Evolution turns out.

  To put it simply, if you like games like Car Mechanic Simulator but wish you could put your creations to a more exciting use, SL1R is what you're looking for. The graphics, sounds and overall visual style are definitely dated but the gameplay more than makes up for it IMHO. Besides, for just $7 the bang-for-your-buck is flatout unbeatable.

  The game improves on so many aspects but the hud/ui is way worse then before and just because of this i cant reccomend it. Previously everything had a button which was way easier then looking at settings for a bind, the parts catalog is so cluttered now, it doesnt say which part you can or cant install etc, imo just bringing back the old menu will be better.

  Worst car physics I've ever seen in a game, bar none. Looks terrible. Game also advertises that it has Steam Workshop support. It does, but when I looked in the Workshop there was literally nothing in it at all. People apparently have nostalgia for this thing, but nostalgia isn't enough to make a game good, and this just wasn't even worth a quarter of the price in my experience.

  Bought it, played it from start to finish without a single crash, hang or hiccup. Bravo.
