  What a horrible DLC for such an amazing game. I received this with the pre order of the game so I didn't have to pay extra for this. Thank god for that. 1: The Samurai Edge, what a JOKE, you can't upgrade it AT ALL and the stats it comes with becomes literally outshined by the DEFAULT LEMI handgun after only a few upgrades, which is super easy and fast to do. Worthless gun and a mockery of what it was in RE7. 2: The dangle charms are cute, but distracting and they cannot be removed from your gun once you equip them, which means you're stuck with them. 3: Everything else is honestly either nice or at least decent, but is NOT enough to hold up this DLC. All in all, this DLC is nothing short of a complete and utter joke and a COMPLETE rip off. Maybe if they lower the price by a lot, like down to say $5 or so than MAYBE it would at least be worth the artwork and backstory. But as it currently stands it is not at all worth it. HARD pass

  Do not buy this, it is not worth the money. It is a scam that's a nostalgia grab aimed at veteran players who want stuff from previous games. The main attraction is Chris Redfield's pistol which doesn't even work the way it does in the other games, it cannot be upgraded and does less damage than the base pistol.

  No words can be said on how disappointing this is. its an insult, a joke, absolutely useless & should of been bundled into the game for free The DLC weapon, the Samurai Edge - AW model-01, is the most insulting cashgrab out of everything. its lackluster performance taints the legacy of this Legendary Pistol used by the members of S.T.A.R.S. by being the weakest weapon ever made in a game (as far as this is concerned), being outclassed by a knife is pathetic. the Screen Filter & Save Room swap should of just been unlockable items, why do that too a game that is all about replayability? STOP FUCKING DOING THAT YOU GREEDY FUCKS Again, like the last one, its an item that shouldn't require you spending any money, it should be UNLOCK-ABLE This is the 2nd useless item here, automatic access too "Village of Shadows". you CAN unlock this via completion of the story, but for a price you can play it right from the start (unless you already beaten the game once). It is a stupid thing capcom has done since RE7, and I hate it. possibly the only items in here of any value is the artbook & the Baker Incident Report but, like the rest of these items, should of been in the game as unlockables. once you add DLC like these worthless trinkets, it defeats the purpose too play the game, cause you won"t obtain everything without spending just a little more. Heed this as a lesson. if you plan on making a game designed around replayability, DO NOT LOCK ITEMS LIKE THESE BEHIND A DAMN PAYWALL

  As of having a few hours of playtime, the Samurai edge (arguably the most worthwhile thing in this pack) is NOT UPGRADABLE, and is only barely stronger than the default pistol you get at the beginning of the game, and it's meanwhile possible to upgrade and can be made better pretty early on. I'll update the review if I discover otherwise, but for $16.99 CAD this doesn't seem to be worth it.

  this is $12.99 for: - a pistol that is slightly better than the default pistol - a weapon ornament that has no function - different saferoom music - the hardest difficulty option - concept art so, a collection of stuff that you should be able to unlock in the basegame locked behind a straight-up outrageously high paywall. i bought the deluxe edition of this game and wish i could trade it back in for the base edition because selling this sort of stuff instead of giving it out for free as a reward for playing the game is an embarrassingly bad AAA practice that needs to die

  Samurai's Edge [b]PROS:[/b] - looks cool - has 10% more power than base pistol [b]CONS:[/b] - non-upgradable - has no attachment slot As you can see, this pistol is inferior than base pistol in every way except for very early game. Avoid buying the pack if you were expecting something from the "paid" gun.

  AVOID AT ALL COSTS.. Samurai pistol only does 10% more damage (110fp) than the default pistol (100fp). Then it gets out-upgraded by the default pistol within 30m upon your castle entrance dealing 30% more total damage (140fp) than the samurai pistol. Only purchase if you wish to support the developers, otherwise, this trauma pack is not worth your hard earned cash.
