  Ive never played a metroidvania before, but if they are anything like this they must be quite enjoyable! This game plays incredibly smooth, and the music is enchanting. The artstyle is great and the guys are hot! I'd say my only complaint is there are some minor typos herre and there and I wish the enemies would have their way with me >_> I havent gotten that far in but its really fun to explore and theres a nice amount of challenge to keep things interesting. All in all, great game. Highly recommend

  Highly recommend this game! I've never played a metroidvania-type game before, but this game really pulled me in! It's a yaoi game that's not a visual novel, and I love that it has actual gameplay mechanics. I've had a ton of fun exploring the whole map and collecting all the unlockables. The game has smooth combat, the art style is beautiful and charming, and it has gorgeous instrumentals for each area of the map that really capture that Castlevania feeling. 10/10 also love hot men

  This game is really fucking cool. It's kind of exactly what I've always wanted, an NSFW game with real substance. It's nothing groundbreaking that I've seen yet, but as a Castlevania inspired game with lots of gay shit, it's very VERY worth it. Obviously, you're probably only going to love this if you're HUUUUUGE into gay sex, but then again, there is an option to skip the sex scenes if they're not for you. Gameplay is fun so far, progression feels earned, challenge hits you pretty hard, pretty intuitive design. If I'm nitpicking, two major things i'd like to see improved is the first some editing to the translations. They can be a bit spotty. The other is a personal thing, I think the UI is kinda of ugly, the health and magic bars are pretty bland, could definitely be improved. TLDR; if you're gay and want to see cute boys being nasty while fighting demons and beasts and ghouls and gobbos, this is well worth the price and the time. -Nicci xoxo

  Paradiso Guardian is a Metroidvania-like game sprinkled with some hot anime men in-between boss fights. It's definitely a yaoi game in the end but it also delivers a whole lot of gameplay into the mix. There even is an option for SFW or NSFW! Honestly -- It still works as a standalone SFW experience. Personally, I wasn't really a fan of Metroidvania-type games but this one managed to pull me in with it's interesting visuals, detailed sprite designs, and a beautiful yet epic soundtrack as you slay enemies! The controls feel good and works extremely well with controllers - Plugged my PS4 controller in and didn't even have to bother rebinding any keys as they were all reasonably assigned. Attacks are satisfying and quick to land while enemies can be tricky with their attack patterns. There's a lot of interesting weapons and spells to try out and your progression is pretty steady as your character grows stronger and stronger. The main cast are fully voiced which is GREATLY appreciated and the voice actors did a fantastic job delivering lines. My only main complaint for the game so far is that some enemies are a bit scaled a little too difficult at wrong areas or there are some annoying monsters in the early game that can be bothersome. (Example: Enemies that spawn right under you or bats blending into the background and striking you immediately) Thank you to the Devs for this wonderful game, hope we can see more future updates for this game! Would love to support it going forward!

  It's frighteningly scary just how good this game is. It FEELS like SOTN, LOOKS like SOTN, PLAYS like SOTN, SOUNDS (musically) like SOTN....but it also has a lot of bayonetta influences too, down to some mechanics (witch time and certain moves), terminology (Paradiso, inferno which of course reference the divine comedy)...and a certain boss battle theme which I swear, quotes the chorus from riders of the light. Otherwise, the game is VERY aware it's referencing castlevania and bayonetta at times and dare I say, maybe even pulls a castlevania as, if you don't know, Castlevania integrated of the Bram Stoker's Dracula lore into itself with the Morris family. I wouldn't be surprised if it's subtle references of an "old castle" and etc is in some way trying to intregrate lore but in a parody/AU way. Regardless, the game knows what it is, but it also knows Castlevania fans. Genuinely, this feels like Symphony of the Night 2 with a few caveats. Caveat 1) Yaoi. (Though, you can turn off the NSFW scenes to make it stream friendly which is a cool option to have!) but at which point it'll be shounen-ai. and also bara with some insanely well animated muscle men lol. But...it otherwise has BL visual novel moments with CGs that don't disappoint. Caveat 2) It's SOTN with more. There's straight up enemy and skill references buuut, there are some upgrades to certain aspects (like performing the tetra spirit equivalent, spirit summon (lol) can't normally be performed in the air with Alcuard, but, in Paradiso Guardian, you can cast that spell mid-air). There's even an ability to apparently assign skills to street fighter commands supposedly. I can't afford the item yet so I'll need to find out eventually. But if you know how to play castlevania and dive kick of candles all day...trust me, you're muscle memory will DIRECTLY transfer over here with just some new adjustments like with dodging, being able to air dodge and dodge cancel out of air attacks, etc. Caveat 3) It possibly expects that you know Castlevania SOTN and have played it maybe twice? Or played the Igavania games in general. So...for newcomers, it may be quite a struggle but for an Igavania player...it's simply tuesday. (but really, it feels like I'm re-experiencing my first time playing SOTN or another igavania. it's a very solid game so far) Overall, I'm going to update my opinion as i get through or when I beat the game but this, is one hell of an awesome Igavania-like so far. Highly recommended just on the 2 hours of enjoyed of the game. Really enjoying the witch time mechanics also! It's a game first before it's yaoi which is pretty awesome that one can enjoy the best of both worlds, or turn off the NSFW option and still enjoy the game alone!
