  Do not let the "Hentai Simulator" part of the title discourage you from buying the game, the game is surprisingly wholesome and is sprinkled with heartwarming moments throughout; the only gripe I had with the game is how quickly the female open her legs (I think it's 2-3 days into the story?), now I have never touched a girl in my life but I refuse to believe that getting coochie is that easy.

  (This review has been written with ~275 in-game days. I have not beaten the game yet, but I have seen enough to write my overall thoughts on it) Do I recommend this game? Ehhhhhhhhhh. "Her New Memory" is one of those games whose gameplay revolves around living your day-to-day life with your girlfriend while being strung along by events which may or may not happen. The plus side of this is that the game can be played the same way other grind-incentive games function, such as watching a video on your second monitor, or listening to music. This level of grindiness only comes into play after you yourself have read every variation of dialogue related to the slice of life bits of the game. The main reason you play, however, is that the game leads you along with events which you have no knowledge on their triggers, and it breaks the monotony as they are quite literally new slices of the pie that you would have to properly read to appreciate. I myself enjoyed all these scenarios, as they set the mood that you and the girl really are in love. The game really is something of a nice little gem, and if the prospect of grinding with the reason that it's all for your fictitious girlfriend sound appealing to you (I certainly like it myself), then I fully recommend this game to you. However, this is when I'd like to talk about my subjective cons. Obviously, if you adopt the perspective that you're mindlessly clicking away the days while praying for *something* to happen, the game suddenly sounds terrible. There are some minute things, such as the game's limitation on customisation causes a lack of flexibility: There are no hairstyles for the girl which go past her shoulders. This is because it is understandably both expensive and a pain in the ass to draw competent hentai CG with free-flowing hair. The clothing the girl wears is only limited to the "Casual Dresses" the game offers, despite many of the costumes appearing suitable for public decency. One last moderate problem I have is that many of the events don't feel like they have proper closure. You are introduced to many aspects of the girl's life and problems, but many of those subjects are tied with a very loose knot at the end of it all. The small side stories don't end in a satisfying manner, and you wouldn't know "that was the end of it" until you look up the game's events for a guide. But the **largest** con of the game (in my opinion of course) is the writing style. The verbiage and wording used in many of the events' emotional scenes is incredibly amateurish, while also opting for sentences that may as well come straight from a 2008 Asian Soap Opera. The internal monologue and thoughts of your own character are needlessly hyperbole, and many of the ideas presented by him sound like they come from an edgy Redditor spewing his red pill woke doomer views on life. Whether intentional or not, this writing style does make it seem more "realistic", since people in real life do speak out of emotion with ad hominem and not by using a script that dances around the nuances of literature. To recap, I still recommend the game in spite of all mentioned if you like eroges with an aspect of grind to it. The game is great because there's something about it that feels like a hidden gem, that it's made with love, and you can feel that the developers cared to make something in this style and genre, but it can feel terrible because of the amateurish word choice and the MC's very modern adoslecent-esque views on life. sorry to anyone who sat through this wall of text, but I felt this game deserved a non-meme review.
