  Very fun game, it's an interesting rougelike with more to come in updates Pros: - Art style, reminding of Happy Tree Friends - Coop ability, great in coop - Ability to blow up an audience - Many guns, perk, and items combinations Cons: - Sometimes so much happens on screen it's easy to get lost I can recommend it right now, especially if you are looking for something to play with a friend

  [h1] Slow CRACKpet Show [/h1] Overall can be fun but : 1. RNG can be bypassed - Just Re-roll the rooms until you get perks and weapons in good quantity and desirable layout. 2. No manual aiming and character stops when shooting. 3. No balance whatsoever. You are either overpowered or weak. 4. No point in doing "MONSTER" rooms since you don't get anything from them ! 5. Music in game is a bass loop that lasts 4 seconds ! xD 6. Many perks and items are a bloatware. Mines or Poison skin are such examples! Never used / situational. 7. No melee weapons. 8. No cat girls :P 9. Enemy variety. This will probably improve since its EARLY ACCESS. 10. Bosses range from super easy to "just tank the damage" since its nearly impossible to dodge everything. There are better rougelike games out there that offer better balance that can turn seemingly bad runs into good ones. At the moment I cannot recommend CrackPetShow.   Cool game to pick up and play now and then. I can definetly see myself murdering critters in this game when I don't know what else to play. Probably pretty fun with others too. Nice game. Hopefully more characters/customization to come.

  Ok I'm going to be honest... Controls: The Crackpet Show, plays more like the dev does not know how to aim for a controller.. And that's not to say it would benefit from such.. But It would improve in how it feels to play. Honestly the whole shoot or move is a bit flaccid in practice. This is a Shmup with bullet hell bosses looping attacks.. Sound & Music : The music is really.. "nightmarish" and no Not Nightmare on Elm or Phantasam nightmarish.. Think elevator music and its looping the same thing over and over each stage what sounds like from the free sound archive. The amount of love for crass sound effects is excessively more childish than it is Happy tree friends.. Premise: Happy tree friends has plot, story, morals.. Even in its sick and twisted scene, even saw 1-2 has a plot its not just about gore and whatnot.. This game just feels like idk some one who likes fart sounds a biiit too much.. And I get it's rated M for mature, but it has a eerie odd Kid like focus on "constant" farts burps and crapping oneself.. I get the concept of toilet humor, but to compare there is a difference between a one hit wonder everyone remembers, and a song that's played on the radio over, and over, and over and over and over till its DEAD. Summary from playing 14 Minutes in till the 1st stage frog boss I get that the devs goal is trying to be the Genki Bowl from Saints row in humor. But what sold that level of humor was crass and class, not just sounds of ***. There needs to be less of this white room torture sim of the senses, and just needs to be more a feeling of nostalgia and action and control! That what Smash TV/Super smash TV had and Happy Tree friends with their DARK satirical gore humor, and Saint row Genki Bowl all had in their popularity in representation. A touch of Genius, crass, and class one of each.. This game atm just crashes with idk what feels like some one hitting a mid age crisis while programming.. Maybe a divorce, and a lot of repressed memories swathed in dark humor.. It just feels excessive in every direction with out much direction directing it. Closing: My advice is: look at the formulas of other popular innovations and add that dash of flare if this is borrowing from cause this game wont shine past carbon in its current state.. I mean not unless your aim is depressed college kids failing and flailing.. Despite this mess "I plan to stick with it".. because It was suggested to me by some one who is a nice trader and a avid gamer.. But I hope I don't regret this purchase.. Really the fact the mechanic is picking move or shoot really says a lot about some one who has NEVER played a single bullet hell to understanding how they work in function outside of their own theory. Sadly it feels exactly how it looked when I saw it, but it plays nothing like it needs to atm. TL;DR 1 It feels like it was rushed in Music choice, badly planed. 2 Hold still while you switch to auto lock-on to enemies. 3 Avoid enemy bullets skittering across the screen not firing to move 4 A intention to capitalize off toilet sounds looping Nickelodeon elevator music tracks, and max profits from curious wanderers of steam sales.. 5 the developer does not intend to add manual aiming, only button target auto aim. My Advice for a better gameplay experience: Maybe if you can stomach enemies firing bullets from their ass in some lucid bad trip inspired art project and mute the music.. But In its current state, I DO NOT recommend this game outside of asking the devs and explaining to them how a classic is made and why shows like southpark work. A better game: I more recommend "Doomsday Hunters" which plays a lot better.. it's a lot more fluid and feels less like this cash up mash up of Itchy and scratchy meeting the worst SPIKE Season of Ren and Stimpy paired with a 2D version of Genki Bowl. But don't say I didn't warn you about The Crackpet show's current state.. *Edit* a lot of the character art (Like the weapon Help and in the audience) looks like trace overs of Richard Scary, and Rocco's Modern Life. I guess it could be satire but even the color scheme differences reflect this. I did find a self proclaimed work around to simulate a twinstick feel: and this may work for other games, and it also may not. Right click game in library: Properties: Controller: select "enable steam input" Right click game in library: Manage : "controller config" Set as follows 1Each direction uses toggle multi button on R stick: Style of input: Directional pad *DS4-DS5 Up X+LT+RT Down X+LT+RT Left X+LT Right X+RT *Xbox (A+LT+RT) (A+LT+RT) (A+LT) (A+RT) For ease of access Select click action on style of input for R3 switch weapon (Triangle / Y ) I got to the 3rd boss with one sponsor unlock This tweak dodges enemy fire just fine, and also aims and fires like normal. It honestly feels more natural To use the Jstick to aim left and right before firing feels right for this game. Also I'm noticing you cant re-run the first boss to continue a long run to the second and third boss after you unlock the next chapter atm.. You can only play a short run till that selected chapter boss is ended, then it boots you back to the lobby area where you select character after you beat that boss once. This forces you to never power up and rely more on a gamble than skill That really limits the fun factor of using long running synergies to progress further.. So far winning aiming and playing seems to be just based on casino logic; skill and perks perks get you farther but the way the game forces you into a harder stage off the bat the unlocks from the sponsor mechanic seem to be the only way to progress. For solo play the items feel useless outside of always choosing invincibility and health restore, and the weapons are more unforgiving than they are useful. The characters are just that simple same avatars with no special defining qualities outside visual only diversity.. the rabbit moves the same as the gator? The Rabbit "should" move faster The Gator "should" do more damage The Goat "should" have more rolls The Shark "should" have faster fire The Chicken "should" aim farther The Cow "Should" reload faster The Pig "Should" have Stink Damage (Poison AOE) There should be a reason, outside of "Visual Novelty" to change a character.

  The Crackpet Show is really just a mindless shooter that only requires you to dodge while the game does the rest for you. In my personal opinion, I feel like having this aimlock mechanic really takes out a lot of the fun when it comes to games like this due to the fact it makes the game so much easier. Within only 30 minutes of gameplay, I was able to clear three full stages of the first season with little to no struggle. Don't get me wrong, I still had fun and enjoyed everything else but I truly feel like this game would be extremely fun if you had control over your aim and if they made the shooting and moving more fluid. When attempting to shoot a lot of the time, you are stuck in place and have to stop shooting to dodge which just feels clunky to me, I understand the purpose for that but I truly feel like they should have just taken the usual approach of giving the users the freedom to aim themselves. Aside from the combat, they did an excellent job with everything else. The weapons, perks, characters, items, and mobs are fairly unique when compared to games alike which in my opinion make up for the combat flaws. Overall, I enjoyed the game and will most likely find myself coming back to play from time to time. In conclusion, I can confidently say that I 100% recommend this game despite the issues I had with it, it is simple, fun, and just a good game to relax on and or just play with some friends.

  Very boring, the game uses auto aim and it takes the difficulty away from the game. you just hold the shoot button and dodge no aiming. Tedious rooms. Just another boring roguelike using the same old formula, nothing original

  Fun game, it took me 6 hours to beat the current 12 stages. It seems that there will be at least 18 stages in the future. Positive: - You can upgrade items, weapons and perks. - You can buy up to 30 "sponsors" which unlock stuff. Decide yourself: - The game has auto aim, you don't aim yourself. Your goal is to dodge enemy attacks, some of those have ground effects. - There are no secrets, you decide between one to four possible paths after each room. - Gameplay is only dodging and shooting. This depends on you, but for me 90% of the guns and items where obsolete, the basic starter shotgun and taunt (invulnerability) is better than those. Some guns increase their damage over time while you hold down the fire button, you can't move while holding down the fire button. Negative Points: - Heart Drops despawn after a few seconds. - No secrets, game is straightforward.
