  I can't recommend that anyone buy this game for a number of reasons. It feels like there is basically no difference between Cloudlands 2 and Cloudlands 1. If you own the first game, then save yourself £15 and don't essentially re-buy it. Many of the same issues from the first game still remain in the second, and had I not purchased the game myself, I would be convinced I am still playing Cloudlands 1. The game ends up in this weird limbo where the crazy golf levels are awkward and unenjoyable and the more realistic golf courses are too bland and boring. Ultimately this feels like a very cheap Quest port. [b]Mechanics[/b] My biggest issue with the game is the mechanics. They feel so rushed and basic. - The force you apply to the ball is still entirely messed up. An issue that remains from the first game. There is no consistency across power applied to shots. (Issue was in original game) - You can still accidentally take your first shot when you load into a level. Why can there not be a few seconds to allow you to position yourself before shots are registered? (Issue was in original game) Level design / Aesthetic - The flat shaded approach makes it very difficult to actually see the different inclines in areas. - It is very clear that the developers had the Oculus Quest in mind, because the environments are mostly dull and lifeless, and in the case of some levels, they look unfinished. Playing on the courses that are par 5+ just becomes really boring. - The aesthetic of the avatars is a horrible [i]silhouette plastic[/i] style that is in no way consistent with the rest of the game. Misc - You can teleport to the ball mid-air, or when it has fallen down beneath the level. Why? (Issue was in original game) - The 2D map is really pointless. Some kind of overview of the level before you start it would be useful, but the 2D is not the answer. - In multiplayer, the delay between when the other player hits the ball, and the ball actually moves, is massive (up to a five second delay). (Issue was in original game) Really disappointed with this. Sad to see that no effort was put into fixing the issues that were prevalent in the original, and instead all that was done is some new courses, and another price tag added.

  Far worse than the original game. CPU limited frame drops on a 9900k averaging 52fps on most levels, extremely boring levels with non of the crazy/mini golf mechanics, a style which makes it difficult to judge geometry as everything is flat shaded. The developers took the original and made it worse in almost every way.

  I like the concept but the controls are awful. Scrolling movement for left right would be much better than button press. Teleporting to the ball always puts you on the wrong side. Would be helpful if after you teleport, it would face you towards the hole. Spent most of the game re-orienting myself to the ball and hole..

  I honestly would buy this game again if the controls were fixed. You are able to teleport to the ball, but it teleports you on-top of it, instead of a foot or two so that you can actually hit the ball. The way the joystick turning is also strange, because it doesn't turn you around in place, but around the ball.

  JUST SKIP THIS GAME - This game feels like it's still in early access, it only has custom maps by players.

  Get Cloudlands 1 for VR Mini Golf... but if you came for full VR Golf experience, go get Tee Time Golf.
