  Despite it's casual appearance, this game will kick your ass. It's actually pretty frustrating, but once you figure out the right combination of turrets for the map it's quite a satisfying little game.

  [h1]Personal rating 3/10[/h1] Although I'm a big tower defense fan and I only played it half an hour I already can't recommend it. Why? 1) it is obviously a tablet game. That means there aren't many functions, everything is realy big and the gameplay is very slow. The first level after the tutorial takes 50 waves and there isn't even a "next wave" button, only fast forward but it still takes far too long to end it. 2) It has micro transactions although it costs 10€ and that is definitely a rip off. You need the coins to unlock new towers or helpful ingame items. And if you don't want to invest money you have to connect it to facebook and twitter and that is one thing I don't appreciate when you are indirectly be forced to do some "free advertising" for a game. 3) The enemies are very one dimensional. That means the only get faster or more health and as the waves progress they just get more health over time. So you are fighting the same enemies over and over again. In my opinion you might be still able to enjoy it but I don't think it can be long-lasting. If there would be a possibility to install steam games on a tablet then I might play it more often.

  Fieldrunners 2 could be a great game but it suffers from huge flaws. I bought this game because it looked nice and it had 87% positive reviews. I played for 2.5 hours in 4 sessions and I don't have a wish to play it anymore. I will try to explain. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1287698511 The first flaw is a long duration of missions. The first mission had 60 waves. OMG. The first level is supposed to be short and teaching. I wanted to delete the game but I wanted to beat at least 3 level to understand is it good or bad TD game. P.s. i chose hard difficulty and lost it closer to the end, so I was forced to replay it again. The second flaw is a lack of information. You can't see exact numbers of HP, Damage, Attack speed and etc. Game offers you to just place towers and watch. I don't like playing TD games this way. The third flaw is strange design decision. Enemy unit have different amount of HP at the different time of the game. I remind you, you can't see exact number of HP. So, playing this game is watching how your towers killing the same enemies, which repeats every 5 waves. I have found a tactic with flamethrower tower and slow tower. I repeated it in 5 maps and it worked. So, there are huge balance issues if the player can pass all maps same way. I saw 3 different maze levels (empty field, places where enemy can move but you can't place tower there, bridge feature) - Looks like there is more than 20 hours of gameplay - Different design of locations - A lot of towers, items, enemies Cons - No early wave button. Only 1 speed up option - Levels has a lot waves and takes a lot of time fore completing it. (For example, the first level is 50 waves, I thought I will die before complete it). It's especially bad when you lose on 67/70 wave and you need to replay all waves again.. - Sometimes i just looked at the screen doing nothing for 10 waves. - Filling of the waves are the same. I passed 10 levels and it looks like developers copy/past them - You can't see how exact HP enemy has. Same for Tower damage and attack speed (only DPS shows) - Amount of HP could be different for the same enemy type. For example, tank on 5 level can be destroyed with Gatling tower 3, but 25 Gatlings won't destroy it on Level 60. It's really bad feature for me - Freemium mobile past. Consuamble items, free cash for special tasks and etc. - Balance issues.   Came back to this Tower Defense game following a long absence after perusing the reviews of another TD "junkie". Had forgotten what a good and challenging game this was. There are 3 distinct types of maps (fixed path, mazing and timed) to keep you on your toes. There are also plenty of upgrade options. One of the better TD games.

  I played this game for a very long time on my cellphone (both iOS and Android) and finnally decided to get a PC version as well. It's a very good game with challenging level designs, beautiful graphics and nice musics. If only there could be some more non-predefined big maps! I love this game!

  A very fun Tower Defense game. Lots of great turrets, lots of things to unlock as you earn progress, just a really solid game worth your time and attention if Tower Defense is a genre you enjoy.

  In it's simplest and purest form, this Strategy game proves once more that bigger / complicated isn't always better. Unlike some other Tower Defense games, you can really influence the game because you have to make a path for the units. It's not liked the locations for the towers are fixed. Whenever a Tower Defense game makes use of this type of Tower Placement, it already scores a lot of points on my list. The core of the game is very solid, the levels are very challenging ( Depending on one of the three difficulties ) and the amount of control you can practise on the battlefield is amazing. This can be done by making complicated choices between Quanitity and Quality. For Example: Do i want to build 4 more chaingun towers? Or do i want to build a tower that slows units down, thus giving the excisting towers more time to destroy them. And do i want to spread the towers out over the map or do i want a very dense 'killing zone'? I can certainly recommend this game. Even to people that aren't into Tower Defense games. If you're doubting, just do it!

  A semi-open enenmy pathing mechanic makes this game exceptional. Similar to how sanctum works, the enemy path is created by you as you maze your towers as effectively as possible. Enemy re-pathing isn't always consistent and can lead to difficulty disigning mazes at harder levels that limit your design by introducing new level mechanics or obstacles. Good fun overall and recommended for any casual td player.
