Do you feel like you have the soul of an exorcist? Do you have the desire to send evil entities back to the afterlife? Would you prefer this thrill as a solo exorcist, or in a team?

Ghost Exorcism Inc is a spooky game about exorcisms. The exorcist's mission is to cleanse entities that haunt locations such as castles, mansions, and abandoned houses. Exorcists will have several paranormal tools at their disposal; such as the EMF K2 detector, the entity analyzer, the threat detector, surveillance cameras, etc.

Once the threat has been identified- you can follow the given exorcism protocol, using equipment such as the neutrino-gun, holy water, incense (and more) to send the supernatural entities back to where they came from.

Multiplayer

Play alone or in a group of up to 6 players. More teammates means a higher chance of success when venturing into larger haunted locations.

Speech Recognition

Ghost Exorcism Inc will allow you to use your microphone to interact with the paranormal entities. They will listen to you and understand your requests, so be careful to not upset them!

Proximity Voice

Be prepared to communicate with your team using the in-game proximity voice!

Missions & Progression

Successfully complete contracts to earn money and gain experience. Higher levels will allow you to purchase more advanced equipment capable of exorcising even more dangerous entities.

Various Entity Types

There are several entity behavior profiles. Each entity will have a randomized type (Shadow, Poltergeist, Demon etc), set of evidence to collect, and behavior.

Ghost Aggression

Hunting and exorcising is far from an easy task. The entities do not want you there, especially if you are trying to banish them from the living realm. Be prepared to defend yourself, and protect yourself.

Yeah, I bought this game for THREE friends. Awful moderation on discord. I was kicked because I tried to submit a ticket for my friend (they asked for the crash file), and he sent me a dump file. They gave me attitude, then when I said "It's alright" and closed the ticket, they kicked me from their discord. I wasn't trolling at all, and was actually trying to be helpful. The game is full of bugs. Here are a list of bugs I've encountered in the 24 hours I've played this game. Since they can't silence me on here, I'll be brutally honest instead of pussy footing around for a bunch of soft kids. 1. Sometimes my friend can see writing in the book, but I can't. 2. Frequent crashes. At least once a play session. 3. Sometimes I can't start the RV in the base, but my friend can. There is no rhyme or reason to this. 4. My holy water doesn't break when thrown, but my friends does. 5. Awful spelling and grammatical errors, and judging from the discord they are relying on players to fix their mistakes. You could hire a translator online. You'd assume they would have the money, considering they're charging a premium at the moment for this game. 6. Randomly on the "Extrem" Difficulty, you will lose certain "Ghost Scanning" tools. On the Extrem difficulty, you need to bring items you bought. So, basically you're gonna lose tools and then have to grind to get them back. 7. Ghosts will sometimes spawn outside the house, and attack you from behind (Especially on the "House" Level, not the Mansion or Fort). 8. Doors will sometimes glitch into walls. 9. Sometimes the evidence you collect...doesn't matter. You'll end up collecting all the evidence you can, and then have to randomly do other shit just in the HOPES that you finish. This is because ghost writing is sometimes hidden in the book (as mentioned before), or is invisible in the house WHEN LOOKING THROUGH THE CAMERA (which is supposed to be visible). 10. Cursed objects occasionally fall through the floor. This happens a lot on the stairs in the "House" level. 11. I may have missed it, but sometimes there is no "haunting origin" on the Mansion level. 12. Hilariously, "jump scare violin music" plays...when there is no need. My friend and I were in the RV when a screeching violin was played. We had a good laugh at that. General Complaints: 1. There are only three levels. The House (Easy), the Mansion (Medium), and the Fort (Hard). You can see how bad the level design is as you go along the difficulty. The House is probably the best, and the Fort is the worst. 2. Shadows, Children, and Revenants are too easy to distinguish. Poltergeists and Daemons are harder to tell the difference of. I think the difficulty should be upped. 3. The general difficulty of the entire game is very easy. Once you get the hand of it (around 4 hours of gameplay), you can basically accomplish any task solo. HOWEVER, you run like an obese old man. So it's only difficult when being chased. If you figure out the ghost, you can begin exorcism right away and probably finish a level in ten minutes. 4. The game is not scary. I think this is due to the models of the ghosts, which are pretty bland. 5. The "Moderators" of the Discord (if associated at all with the Game), are pretty awful. One of them was actually fairly decent. When I went into the discord I reported a bug, and was pretty polite about it. I mentioned my friend crashed, and they asked for the crash report. My friend gave me a dump file, and when I sent it to them they flipped out like spastics. I wasn't trolling, or being mean. Even when they were snarky with me I simply closed the ticket and basically said "It's alright". Customer service is important to me. When people can't work with their community on fixing the game THE GAME IS SHIT. Luckily my friend is able to get a refund, so he'll be doing that. Avoid this game and get the other ghost game. Don't give your money to rude people - it isn't worth it. I really hope that people will read my review and take it seriously. I am sick of game companies acting like this. You are supplying a product. This product is not finished, so your good customers will provide feedback to you in a constructive way. When you dismiss people for their constructive feedback (and really, I wasn't giving feedback just trying to help solve a bug), you are an asshole. I've played constant early access games. And yeah, some people are dicks to volunteers and devs on discord. Unfortunately, some people are not meant to be "customer service reps". Discord Mods, paid or not, are the face of your business. Fire or dismiss the fucking idiots you have. I'll post an edit if possible if anyone wants to hear more bugs and glitches I've found. It's unfortunate as I love ghost games. If I could get a refund for my friend and I, I would. Hopefully my other friend will get a refund. DO NOT BUY.

Long time Phasmophobia player here, using this review to compare and contrast the two games for those like me, who were skeptical that this game might merely be derivative or hackneyed. In Phasmo, you are gathering evidence while a hostile entity slinks about the property. If it detects you, it will try to kill you. In this game, you are facing off directly with the hostile entity; it is constantly attempting to kill you. It always knows where you are. It listens to your voice commands and will do as you instruct it to. It will attempt to draw you deeper into the property to ambush you. Your mission isn't finished until either your team or the ghost have moved on to the afterlife. While both games share a common theme and some terminology and equipment, there really isn't much similarity in how the games play from moment to moment. In Phasmo, you skulk around at a slow pace, patrolling your items scattered in the ghost's haunt room, hoping for that last piece of evidence to drop before the lights start blinking and the ghost gets to fight back. Then you immediately run to a safe place and cower there with nothing to do until it's clear to come out again. If you try to communicate with your team during a hunt, you'll be found and killed. If you try to outrun the ghost, you'll be killed. The best defense in Phasmo is to have a bugout plan, an exit strategy/hiding spot in mind, and a sense of when things are about to get dangerous, because if you're caught in a hunt unprepared, you'll die. This highlights a major difference between the games; in Phasmo if you get tagged by the ghost, you die. GHC lets you spend a little time getting mauled by the ghost before it's fully game over. Once dead, you're useless to your team in Phasmo. In GHC, you're still able to help nearly as much as you did while alive, even taking some of the risks for the other players to get those last bits of evidence. In GHC, you move fairly quickly, with a limited sprint. You hustle your gear to the front door, and immediately begin gathering your evidence, because nearly all of it can be gathered from any spot on the property, or from the entity itself. You look for hidden occult objects, some of which cannot be seen except through your handheld camera, and can be sniffed out with tools. You get a look at the ghost, perhaps while it's peering out a window at you or hanging from the ceiling. It might just begin to attack right then, without warning, and you'll need to know which of your holy objects has the power to repel it. The appearance of the ghost is part of the evidence you're going to be using. Taking all this info to your tablet, you receive a set of instructions for the exorcism. You may have to shatter an ampule of holy water at the entity's feet, blast it with an egon gun, or even discover its cursed object hidden somewhere in the house and purify it, among many other possible actions. Some combination of these steps will banish the entity from the property. Phasmophobia is a suspenseful paranormal mystery game. GHC is an action-oriented, ghost busting fps. They both feel entirely different despite dealing with the exact same topics and materials. Phasmo's play cycle feels like ten minutes of suspense and tedium that leads to a few seconds of stress, followed by a bit of relief and then some more tedium, leading to a resolution, and then it repeats. GHC's cycle consists of a minute or two of suspense, and then a few seconds of stress and terror, and finally a five to ten minute intense action showdown and relief. I'm very excited to see where both games go. I'm convinced they were never headed to the same place. Thanks for reading!

I've played Phasmophobia for hundreds of hours and there were many things I thought could spice it up and Ghost Hunters Corp adds several of those. I've been insisting my phasmo partner-in-crime to play the game for weeks and we finally did. Unfortunately, I can not recommend it at its current state. I've read people complain about bugs - I can't comment on that because I didn't play long. The game feels pretty alpha overall, but I can understand that too, the game is developed by one person? two? a small team I believe. The reason I can't recommend the game - and I hope this changes so I can play the ghost out of it, is the ghost behaviour. Look, when a horror game reaches its peak and the ghost gets aggressive, it's very juicy! That's the action we wait for! But if I made a ghost movie that just existed of that part - it would suck. There would be no build-up of tension, no commitment to a story (in the case of a game like this, it would be "your story" of the investigation), just horror and scares. And that's what Ghost Hunters Corp does atm. The ghost gets active almost immediately and starts getting aggressive soon after. There is no time to explore. There is no time to enjoy the details. There is no time to get creeped out. There is no time to get nervous, let your mind play tricks, think you heard something. No. It's just BOO GHOST BOO COMING FOR YOU. This is what Phasmo does so well despite having quite predictable and docile ghost behavior. Until you learn how things work, you are completely in the dark and scared of everything. Even when you know how things work, the environment is still creepy and ghost is not so present. GHC needs to understand that and let player immerse themselves in the atmosphere. If it manages this ghost behaviour, it has the potential of being one of my longest played games because the other ideas in the game are amazing and as content pours through, it'd be awesome. So that's my take. If the devs read this, I hope they aren't discouraged. They do have a good theme, good ideas and being an indie isn't easy. I'll be SO happy to see the change and adjust my recommendation in the future.

1st and foremost, I like this game. I vote no because to a majority of people, this games isn't worth it. NOT RECOMMENDED IF: -You are expecting a fully functional, polished early access game. -You don't like grinding, and spending 15+ minutes per match just to get $0 and a few XP points -You don't have friends to play with (Seriously 10x better with people) -You don't have a mic (literally required to play) I DO recommend this game if: -You liked Phasmophobia and wanted something more challenging. (imagine this as 0 sanity mode, and no notice that the ghost is hunting (that i know of) -You don't mind the buggy-ness of an early access game. (crashed a few times, mic quit working sometimes, clipping, audio bugs, invisible items, etc. -You're fine with grinding (literally can not buy 95% of the items until like lvl 4 or something) -you're fine with playing the same 3 maps, over and over again, where the ghost spawn in the sames spots, over and over again, and the only thing that changes is the evidence/exorcising. I also gotta talk about comparisons to phasmophobia cuz i know you have questions. I've got a couple hundred hours into phasmo. I'm over level 350, and have been trying to come up with ways to make the game more challenging or add variations to the games. (lucky patches have been address a lot of that stuff) This game is a great addition to phasmo. Play phasmo, get bored, switch to GHC, get board, back to phasmo...etc. ---------------------------------------- What's the SAME as phasmo? -solo dev, using unity assets. YES you'll see a LOT of the same stuff in this game.(including fonts) Yes the character models look like a$$. (although at least PHasmo has consistent character models... GHC has various levels of quality models, like some look awful and other look better.) ^^^ BONUS - BOOB PHYSICS(for some reason no junk physics but whatever)^^^ Similar loop, load into lobby. Use a whiteboard to select missions, have a van with all your equipment, cams and such. But that is about where the similarities end. -- -- What is Different than PHASMO? Phasmo is a puzzle game with horror elements. GHC is a horror game with puzzle elements? You'll SH*T yourself far more in GHC that phasmo. Ghosts are wayyyyy more agressive with almost no warning sometimes when they'll strike, and from what I can tell there is NO hiding in this game. You load in, and almost immediately there is activity and i've even died within the first 3 mins on EASIEST difficulty. Your goal isn't finding out the ghost type, your goal is exorcising the ghost. (Identifying it helps a ton though) You use similar tools, but then have a bunch of new tools to use to get rid of the ghost. There is no BONE to collect in each level, however there can be occult items. Those items can be naked to the human eye and revealed with a camera and taken back to the van for bonus $$$. No breaker box. The ghost can and will explode light bulbs rendering them unusable to the rest of the game, but no breakers to flip. You do not get to hide as mentioned before. If you're being chased by the ghost (BTW you have a stamina mechanic and can only run a short distance) you can only run back to the van for safety. Ghosts can walk, run, crawl on walls and ceilings as well. This can make it hard to see them coming, and get you killed. Also, sometimes you can only see the ghost through a camera. So buy some. OK now as of day 3 what have been a deal breaker and ultimately made me give a downvote... BROKEN to pieces. my biggest complaint is that after dying you can continue to move items (like EMF, or cameras, or tiger stones) around the map and working as normal. You just can't activate anything. This means you can have your team stay safe in the van while you do a lot ofthe work (for free) without any further risk. This needs to be patched out, quickly. NO IN GAME VOICE CHAT? WHAT? like.... just do it? I know it's not that easy but that shit MAKES phasmo feel so much more immersive. ONLY 3 maps, and lack of variation in gameplay. So far in my experience the gohst is almost always (7/10) times in the foyer area of the building. allowing you to camp the door and quickly sprint to a van during a hunt. the manor is huge and the ghost is always in the front 2 rooms or just passed them by the clock. The castle is always in the courtyard and rarely in the castle. Make it only fun for few hours before it gets boring. Phasmo did have 5+ maps at launch. Lack of a proper tutorial. The tutorial room is cool, but you really don't have a fucking clue until you die on your first 5 missions. Price... $17 Phasmo is $13 and worth every penny. You're gonna release this alpha-like early access game, that is competing with one of the BEST ghost hunting games and charge almost 50% more... With that being said. Buy phasmo and play that if you haven't. Then come back after this game has more polish on it.

Terrible budget game that reuses assets. Online play is bugged and items disappear. Super glitchy and overpriced - get Phasmophobia instead.
Not just another Phasmophobia clone
I see a lot of reviews that compare this game to Phasmophobia. I almost didn't buy the game because of it. That said, I'm really glad I did. I think on the surface, the two games seem very similar, because they're both ghost hunting games. But the two games are very different when you get into it. Phasmophobia is a horror game at it's core. It's slow, uneasy, and absolutely terrifying. There's nothing you can do to defend yourself and you never know when the ghost will decide it's your time to die. Ghost Exorcism Inc is an action-horror game. The ghost can and will try to kill you almost constantly. But with the right tools and the right plan you can survive. You can even exorcise the ghost entirely.
A fresh take
Ghost Exorcism Inc has some really, really awesome features that I haven't really seen in other ghost games. At least not in this combination. Exorcism GEI doesn't stop at identifying the ghost. In order to truly complete a mission you need to exorcise the ghost and remove it fully from the location. This could be smudging the ghost, shooting it with a neutrino gun, destroying it's favorite possession, or a variety of other tasks. Usually you'll have 3-6 tasks to complete for a ghost. Ghosts & Evidence In most ghost hunting games, the evidence is used to determine the type of ghost you are dealing with. In GEI, these are separate. The ghost type can be determined by it's physical appearance, it's behavior, or which protective items seem to have an effect. There are also 5 types of evidence that determine which actions are necessary to exorcise the ghost to complete the mission. This breaks the round into stages and creates a layer of progression in each match. Occult Items Some items int eh level have occult energy. These items can be found using a geiger coutner/occult scanner. These items can then be collected for additional income and XP. This adds an additional optional objective to be completed. Some ghosts get particularly annoyed when you move items, so this adds an extra level of danger in those cases. Invisible Items One of my favorite mechanics in this game is that each level may have items only visible when viewed through a camera. This could be writing or drawings on the walls, or it could be an actual item like a teddy bear. You can use the polaroid camera to snap a photo of the item and bring it back to the physical realm. Unrestricted Hunting The ghosts in GEI can hunt at any time. Some seem to hunt almost constantly. The difference is that in GEI you can defend yourself. Each ghost has an item they are afraid of. Some need to be placed on the ground and some can be carried. The protection doesn't last forever though, so if you anger the ghost enough they'll get you. No Safe Zone The truck in this game is not safe. The ghost can run out of the building and chase you all the way to the truck. If you shut the door it can break it down over time. The only true way to stay safe is to use the defensive items available to you and manage it's hunts.
Issues
I love this game. I really do. But it does have some issues. Bugs While this game has felt mostly polished in my time playing it, there are a few bugs that can be quite annoying. In one match, a door flipped sideways after a ghost interaction blocking us in the room with the ghost. (Devs have confirmed in discord this will be corrected in the next patch.) Another recurring bug is that interacting with doors can sometimes interfere with the items in your handing making gadget use difficult after. This is easy to fix, but serves as another example of the oddity you can experience. Lastly, the netcode could use a bit of work. Sometimes doors become desynced and the host will see them open or closed when clients don't. (The devs are currently working on a netcode overhaul.)
Showstopper/Dealbreakers
Multiplayer The game doesn't scale well to player count. When playing solo, or even with 2 players, the game is terrifying. It feels like you can die at any moment. Once we went up to three people, the game suddenly became not scary at all, even on the hardest difficulty. We find this game ultimately unplayable with more than 2 people. It's terribly easy and boring and relies on the player to do their own balancing. (Choosing not to use defensive items or only carry a couple items at a time.) As well as that there's no good matchmaking, so trying to find a team is just not really viable outside of their discord.
In Conclusion
I love this game. I've tried a few ghost hunting games and this one is definitely in the main rotation for me. It's a very different experience and tends to be more active/engaged. Some of these games tend to have a lot of wait and see moments, and this one really doesn't have downtime. The ghosts are extremely active. While this game is absolutely terrifying solo, it really just doesn't maintain that with mid-large size groups in multiplayer. If you play these games primarily with friends and primarily for the scares, you might not enjoy it. The combination of evidence, ghost identification, side objectives, occult item collection, photo evidence gathering, and exorcism steps makes this game a completionist's dream. There's so many different things to do and since many are optional you have a lot of freedom in how you tackle each mission. All in all, this game offers a unique take with some simple changes that really make for a fun ghost hunting experience.

Let me start by saying before the update, my friends and I absolutely loved the game and enjoyed our time playing it. Post update however I find myself getting physically ill between the increased loud heartbeat sounds, constantly being dragged around and my screen twisting/blurring so much more than when I played pre-update. The doors are difficult to open now and often are twisted to where they are sideways and not where they should be without players or ghosts actively breaking them. The feel of the game now is clumsy in general, and I have a GREAT computer that is brand spanking new and it's still much more laggy than it was pre-update. Add to it that you have to spend an enormous amount of in game currency not only on items but to purchase maps we had before the update and it's honestly not worth the effort, getting sick, and frustration the game requires now. The update DID make the tools prettier and some of the maps more complex-- that was a plus. On a side note the developers do not take criticism well and use their power to ban people who speak poorly about the game whilst lying about the reason. I've seen this first hand and given everything else I will be chalking this up to money poorly spent and will be unable to recommend this game to potential new players.

I love what this game could be, I really do. In fact, sometimes it IS great to play. However, this game was not ready for release and the developer has no business charging $18 in its current state. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IN ITS CURRENT STATE Pros: - The game can be scary and has great atmosphere - The concept is fantastic, bringing new life to the genre that was needed - The items are pretty straight forward and relatively easy to figure out - Voice recognition is great... When it works properly Cons: - The game is buggy and I mean WAY too buggy -Writing is broken. You'll often hear the scribble sounds while holding the book implying that the ghost wrote in it. However, you will see nothing. You can get picture evidence of it for extra money but even if you put the correct one in your tablet the game will not give you credit for it. Wall writing will remain invisible, even when looking through the camera which is supposed to reveal it. -Holy water is broken. Sometimes it works as intended, other times it doesn't work at all, making it impossible to complete the ritual even though you have completed everything else. There is no way around this. This is a game breaking bug. -The ghost model will occasionally glitch out, only showing a dark blob which you should not mistake for a shadow as it could be any ghost type in this state. -While having an over aggressive ghost is exciting at first, it becomes real annoying real quick. It takes away the scare factor if you know the ghost is going to be up your behind during the entire mission and it makes it more of a hindrance than a terrifying force. -Replay value is lacking due to the ghosts predictable behavior. -Flash camera does not always reveal hidden cursed items, even though you can see them through the photo camrea -Multiplayer is barely functional. Sometimes you cannot see your teammates even though they can see you. Sometimes You can see their character model but they never move. Sometimes they will get evidence that you cannot see (This is really bad with ghost writing and the spirit box) I know this game was developed by one person and I know have difficult that is but again, this game had no business being release especially with an $18 price tag. I have played/streamed this game for 20+ hours and it pains me to say that I cannot recommend it because I really REALLY wish that I could but I cannot right now. Wait a few months until the devs are able to iron out some of these extreme issues.

Pros and cons are down below (spoiler free)) If this review will be helpful, please don't forget to drop a like so it can be helpful to other people as well) Feel free to check out the gameplay here (and see the footage of some of the points I mention below): https://youtu.be/M-sWpawBtrM + In Phasmophobia you hide, in this game you confront and fight. That's exactly what Phasmophobia was lacking and what makes this game so interesting and appealing. + It's way more terrifying than Phasmophobia in my opinion. The way the ghosts move spooked me so much the first time I saw it. The mechanics like "holding the door", instead of just closing it, to prevent the ghosts enter the room add a lot to scary ambiance. + The developers seem to be aware of bugs and keep updating the game slowly fixing all the issues, so I believe this game will become better and better. - At the moment it's buggy as heck but as I've already mentioned, the devs slowly fixing all the problems so I hope this point will be resolved in the nearest future. - The ghosts seem to be acting in the same way or their AI is very flawed at the moment. Their pathing is weird and they sometimes get stuck in doors. Also the y can leave the haunting area which is not what ghosts supposed to do. - The maps are huge and it takes forever to find the ghosts. I wish that this game would have maps of different sizes like Phasmophobia has. - It's very hard at first! Also, it's very hard if you don't have a full team of ghost hunters. The ghosts are very aggressive so it's pretty hard to deal with them solo. Overall: I'd rate this game 5.7 ghosts /10 so far. I recommend it since it constantly gets update and gets improved and the concept of being able to fight the threat lures me in. However, at this point it's almost unplayable so I would recommend waiting a bit before buying the game but definitely putting it on your wishlist.
