  Playing as the Czechs is fun, and I like seeing what the developers, who are Czech, think of their own armed forces and their equipment. The story is pretty lacking. For the price and experience it's definitely worth it. [b]Pros[/b] [*]Its nice to be back in Eurasia after playing the other DLCs in Takistan. [*]Czech forces are fun to play, weapons and vehicles feel authentic. [*]New concepts, like the flooded city, are really fun. [/list] [b]Cons[/b] [*]The story is almost non-existent. It seems like just a bunch of random missions BI had left over and added in Czech forces to create a DLC. [*]So many missions leave you without any how to or explanation in regards to the objectives. I found myself googling a lot. [*]A lot of the missions are simply: go here kill guys, now go there and kill guys, okay check this spot and kill guys if you find them . . . .

  This is probably the best DLC for ArmA 2 to date. It adds the Army of the Czech Republic, 3 new maps (though one is just a smaller version of Takistan) and a new campaign. The new maps are very well optimized and provide the player with a new battleground that looks great and isn't as taxing as Chernarus. The Czechs add a lot of flavor to the BLUFOR side, but I get the feeling it's at the detriment to the OPFOR and BLUFOR sides. At either rate, this is the best DLC out of the three current offerings.

  Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic (ACR) is a first person shooter simulation DLC developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It was released in September 2012. ACR is set in redeveloped Chernarus, which includes both Bystrica and Bukovina areas, and Takistan. You, the player, play as various soldiers within the Czechia army. This review will cover the campaign, the performance, and the issues. ACR incorporates a solid campaign. The overall story is that post-civil war in Bystrica, the Czechia army aims to restore order within Chernarus and Takistan because war criminals are still terrorising those countries. Within these locations, settings are dynamic, and missions are diverse. For instance, I completed one mission in Takistan by using a helicopter. Or, another mission I was tasked to observe and pinpoint a location for bombing. These various settings add some mixture into the game which help it differentiate from the missions in base Arma 2. ACR also excels in the weapons and vehicles that resemble real-life counterparts of the Czechia army. These positives are good positives, but the overall campaign is not good at all and I do not blame that due to the story or the settings, rather the bugs and glitches that flood the game. I quit 8 missions in out of the 15 available missions. In this 8th mission, I had to rescue 15 civilians in a flooded city. I could not complete this mission as when I attempted to rescue civilian #14 out of the 15, I could not because the game would not let me. Loading save games did not work, therefore I restarted the mission. Same issue persisted. Overall, I will expand into specific issues further down, but omitting negatives, I did enjoy the missions on offer. There was a clear story, different locations, and diverse mission objectives that made me invest my time into the campaign because it pulled me in so to speak. Technically, I wish this DLC had a FPS lock. I played on GeForce Experience's 'optimal' settings for it and I was ranging from 25FPS-90FPS over the 8 missions I did play. For the most part though, I stayed at around 50FPS. ACR recommends a GTX 260 graphics card and I having a GTX 560 Ti, it was odd I could not manage high settings. Lastly, I noticed a ton of issues within ACR. My main gripe was the delays in reaction by AI. For instance, mission two, titled 'patrol', had you riding in an Czechia APC to locate and kill enemies. The AI were my gunners in order for me to drive. I would encounter enemies, which would relay an on-screen message to notify the AI, and they would wait to shoot the enemies after the message was relayed, despite me being either shot at or scouting them. Specifically, I drove the APC up a hill and stopped right next to an enemy APC, which started shooting at me and the friendly AI were dreaming. The AI's dumb behaviour occurs throughout the entire campaign and it feels like Bohemia did not overly polish this game. Another example was an objective in which my squad had to traverse 1km of terrain. Every 10 seconds my teammate AI would check their binoculars and stand still when there was absolutely no reason to do so. While I think Bohemia should have profoundly 'Czeched' this game to improve it, there were areas where you could not complete mission objectives without a reload in a save game. For instance, in mission two, I had to escort two ambulances 2km to a destination and when I arrived, the objective did not clear, nothing happened. According to my Internet research, various owners had this issue. Overall, I generally think this game was a rushed effort and it needed some more development to improve these major issues. [h1] [b] Conclusion [/b] [/h1] Overall, I bought ACR at $1.79 in January 2014. At that price, I would totally recommend this game because for that price, you get two very solid locations, dynamic situations, and diversity in the missions. But as an overall recommendation, I do not recommend this game. It feels like a rushed development as there were various issues, some big, some small, big ones that ruined my experience of the game, others small that were not drastic to hurt my experience, but were big enough to showcase the rushed effort.   i cant even play this dlc it not in my library and whenever i try installing it, it seems to cause an erro rafter 3 confirmations to make changes to my PC. I want to play this dlc but i dont understand whats wrong with it. Can anyone help me?
