At a Glance

(Adult) Content Yes, (F, FxM) sexual content.

Censorship No. Woot! Woot!

Hours of Gameplay To be determined.

Modding Support? No.

Patch Available? Yes, download from publisher's site.

Princesses Never Lose! is lewd RPG about a Princess Erica's fight for her kingdom, a desperate struggle from the losing side of the war. - Disclaimer - For the purposed of this review, the adult patch is installed. Consider this review to be a work in progress. I am updating it as you read it. - 18+ Patch - https://kaguragames.com/princessesneverlose-patch/
Gameplay
This game plays like most RPGmaker games. You follow a story, and battle foes in a turn based system. As you level up, you gain new abilities and enhanced stats. Fighting enemies is a bit of a "rock-paper-scissors" game. There are four elements (listed in order of what beats what) fire, wind, earth, and water. Water beats fire, completing the loop. Each enemy is weak to at least one element, encouraging the player to switch between elements as needed. Elements are determined by equipped theoliths, stones with magic properties. Theoliths can be mined for synthesis materials. The number of times you can mine theoliths is limited each day, but that number is reset whenever you rest in an inn. Synthesis materials can be found and purchased from many facets, from sparkly dirt patches, ore veins and shopkeepers. Synthesis can grant new weapons and armor, along with a host of useful items. However, you must know very specific recipes between attempting Synthesis, or risk losing your precious materials. If you see any heart symbols, that means a sexual scene isn't far off. However, sexual scenes can be avoided (by staying away from hearts). Erica can solve her problems through fighting or sexual means. Some enemies will tear her clothes and attempt to violate her. From "Sex Status" (accessed in-game), there are a wide variety of tracked stats regarding Erica's sexual exploits.
Story
It's 1848, VE (Vergine Era). . . . . . Vergine Era? Sigh, I'm in for a treat aren't I? Our story begins in rural Tolinia. A trio of thieves nonchalantly discuss their (illegal) exploits and theological beliefs inside their favorte tavern. Erica busts through the door, right on cue (following a profane comment about taking a fox girl's virginity). After dispatching the thieves, her chancellor Paolo (or discount Espeon) delivers dire news: Princess Erica's kingdom is under attack, and her kingdom is hanging on by a thread. On her way to frontlines, she rescues a soldier named Marta from a lusty slime attack. She was ambushed by Sandario troopers, the (current) enemies of Erica's kingdom. Erica guides Marta back to her castle, where her parents (the King and Queen) offer to adopt her as their child. Erica objects, but Marta still offers her services to Erica, in the fight for the kingdom. They set off to defeat their enemies, whatever it takes.
Visuals
The titlescreen is clean and decent, though I wasn't fond of the moving background. "Options" presents standard RPGMaker settings (for audio and reading preferences). "Recollection" acts as a gallery. Overall, the user interface clearly has work put into it. There are a handful of things I don't like about it, but it is very ambitious and deserves praise. - The Goods - The sexual content is high quality, but the artwork isn't top notch. The CGs had a sort of amateurish feel, but are drawn by a competent artist. Expect beastiality and female-on-male action.
Verdict
Wait for a sale (that's more than 10%). But so far, this hasn't been a bad RPG, though it's been an absolute cake walk. But I'm in no position to make judgments on the difficulty.
Support the Wombat
If you enjoy my reviews, please follow my Curator page. I live and die on your thumbs (up) and follows. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36272124-Wombat-Trap/ . . . and/or my Group. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/wombattrap

So I've played this game for about an hour, but apparently it's about the reunification of Italy in the mid-19th century via indecent acts by a well-endowed anime fox girl princess. So, yeah... 10/10

So I have played this game for roughly 5 hours and I have yet to finish it but i felt compelled to go ahead and write my thoughts out because regardless how this game ends I still have strong thoughts. So here goes! For starters this is a pretty well designed game, the towns are well thought out and each town looks fairly unique. You do get a sense of travel when you go from place to place. Also the character designs are pretty well done. The Main characters look really good with the exception of Marta. Other than her two colored iris design.... pretty boring looking. The erotic scenes are also very well done, quite the polish when capturing the images. However on the topic of erotic content, while the H scenes are very well done, there are very limited scenes it feels like...compared to other titles of this kind. Not to mention that in moments when there are say alternate scenarios on how a scene can play out. Whatever you choose will be the exact same scene with a slight either dialogue change or a small detail added to the image. So all in all i wish there were bigger visual difference and or consequence with the choices made with these scenes. Now for the combat ,I am sorry but it is pretty boring. You only see the characters enlarged profile on screen if they are the party leader. It may have been better if it changed between turns. Also there are "sex acts" the enemies have which is only really 1 which is ejaculation. In this moment semen just randomly appears on the party leader. Not exactly sure the effects its supposed to have in combat but seems to serve no purpose, you also have your clothes slowly torn off in combat. You do get an item to repair that but again ..does not seem to have that much of an effect other than embarrassment. All in all its a pretty forgettable combat system. Another major problem I have is the menu screen. The background and the select bar are nearly the same color. So seeing clearly where exactly you are on the screen is a challenge and can be extremely annoying. I don't want to end this review on a bad note. I will say that the story has promise. I found it more ambitious than most other rpgmakers of this kind. Usually most stories just have 1 city Hud and you travel back and forth to different areas. This game is a constant traveling forward which was refreshing and the idea that you are expanding your countries reach, certainly feels like you are making an impact as you move forward. Hopefully the Developer continues with their strong elements and gets better in other areas.

    - I recommend this game to everyone who loves hentai adventure. - I liked the story and the mechanics of the characters, the way the main character (Princess Erica) is updated after each event (Lose event). - Anyway the mechanics of the fights are nice, the way you upgrade your equipment, the way you can pharma (it brings me to an MMORPG: P) - Unfortunately there are 2 minuses I give this game... So let's start 1. The first the little bugs that prevent you from getting an H-event and in the city "parnomus" at the h-event from the doctor after you are defeated you are respawn in a stone from which you cannot move, (it happened to me a few times) 2. and the second is that during the fight scenes there are no h-events, for example (dark elf, treasure hunter claire, etc.) Personally I would have preferred more scenes / event hentai My score for this game is unfortunately 8/10 I'm sure the bugs will be resolved over time and the future reviews will be bigger. Again I recommend this game, Have fun that's all i can say :) Sorry for any mistakes but I don't speak English very well.

So, I really would like to see Kagura hit a game out of the park. They have done this before. This one...however, is so very bugy. The concept is alright, the story line is alright. However, there's numerous crashes and some of the logic flow doesn't seem to always work right. And for those that care the H content is kind of static. I had high hopes for this game, but not really worth the high price tag, sorry to say.

I actually like this game. + The assets in this game are pretty good. + Good drawings. +Characters aren't annoying. I have no idea why this game has mixed reviews. People buy a henti game and then complain there's henti in it? That would be like buyng an FPS game and then complaining that there's FPS, or going to a burger joint, buying a beef burger and then complaining about it containing meat.

It was hard for me to decide if I would recommend this game or not - it's not a bad game but it doesn't really offer anything new either. Let me explain: There is definitely some nice aspects to this game. I love the art, the designs of the towns are varied and visually appealing, and the characters are fairly interesting as well. There are some cool mechanics in this game, such as fortune tellers who tell you what to do next in the game if you are stuck on where to go or who to talk to in the storyline (a problem I have a lot because I get distracted easily when exploring). There is some neat items and the world seems large and is fun to explore. But unfortunately, if you've played any other game similar to this, it kind of pales in comparison and doesn't have much to offer. This game has many of the same mechanics that other games of this genre have, which makes it seem somewhat unoriginal and dull. For example, a heart appears above someone's head if there is a potential sex scene, which I've seen from other games. At the same time, it's lacking or missing in areas that other games have and that would greatly improve this game. For example, I am about 5 hours into the game and I haven't found a way to change my character's outfit yet - maybe there is a way, but it's not readily obvious. I can change armor but I can't give her cute clothing or accessories like I could in games like Melty's Quest. Mechanics aside, the story is boring and overly complicated. It goes deep into the lore but none of it is very interesting or creative, and I find myself skimming a lot of dialogue (and boy is there a lot of dialogue). I would describe the story to you but I hardly remember most of the details, other than you are a princess trying to unite various peoples and save your land in wartime. And I am actually someone who enjoys stories in RPGs and games such as this - Evenicle is another game that had a fantastic and creative story while still providing a lot of H-scenes and comedy. On another note, this game does seem to have fewer H-scenes than most games, which doesn't help with the plotline being a bit bland and long-winded. Then there's combat, which definitely falls short. You only ever see the icon of the main leader character, which is disappointing and it would've been nice to see your whole party or at least have it alternate. The moves are pretty limited and I've just been spam clicking through most fights and winning with relative ease. I haven't lost a single fight in the whole time I've played, or even really come close. And it's not like I'm grinding away at battles to level up - I usually avoid NPC monsters and only fight if I accidentally run into one. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh because I've played games like this and it doesn't seem like this game tries to tackle anything original. But that also means, if you're like me, you may find yourself somewhat bored and comparing this to games in the same genre that are similar but better in many aspects. Maybe if you are new to games like this and you haven't played the games I mentioned earlier, then you'd find this new and fun, and really enjoy it. Overall, I think I would recommend this if you're new to games of this genre or if you're just looking for a way to pass the time, but try to aim for it when it's on sale - maybe between $10 - $15.

Maybe not as detailed as other Kagura games, it's still worth playing. It has aniche for nearly everyone without being too extreme to prevent you from enjoying the fappable content. You can use a mouse if that's your thing. I'm not sure what engine it's built on, but it's not the traditional RPG Maker style. The fappable content is what makes this a decent, not great game. I would rate it 3 out of 5 faps.

The RPG part of the game is relatively well-made. There's also voice dubbing for the main characters for their major plot dialogue as well as their Hentai scenes. There's a Lewdness score being tracked but the game does not seem to really differentiate between being reluctant or non-consensual; the heroines go straight to enjoying it. Still, this is one of the better Kagura Games offering out there.
